    Exactly the way my grandmother and mother made them. Only thing I would peel the outer layer of the stem if it's too woody. Love to eat these!!!

      Awesome!! oh yes, great idea especially for bigger artichokes where their stems can be a bit tougher :)

    Looks good! Also drinking milk after eating an artichoke makes the milk taste funny!

    I do cut the tips off all the leaves. They can pinch!

      Hi. I never had that problem to be honest. Maybe the artichokes I use are of a different quality and do not have lots of thorns. :)

    That's how we prepare them. Don't get too excited with the stuffing. Some add strong flavoured things like anchovies ,strong cheese, capers, etc. Don't do it. The hero of the dish is the artichoke. It shouldn't be overshadowed by strong flavours in the stuffing. It pains me to see people who strip away most of the outer leaves, cut off the top part of the leaves. What a waste.

      I am with you. I like adding simple ingredients that are not so overpowering and I never really understood why some people cut off the top parts. :)

    Your content was actually knowledgable! I've been trying to research for vid that explains the stuff in this CZcams vid.Your explanation really reminds me of the videos of Dr Ethan! Doctor's explanations are insightful and he helped me on finals. He is a helpful med student in the UK.
    I recommend you see his YT out and give the health enthusiast a like! 👉 #DoctorEthanStudentDoctor

    Are you kidding me she doesn't even cut the ends off or the tip of the artichoke just gets poked in the fingers while she's feeling it no good. Besides not enough garlic and parsley

    • @GiuliaArdizzone
      @GiuliaArdizzone  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Randy!
      Never in my life I got poked from the tip of a cooked artichoke.
      As you can see in the video, they do not have big dangerous thorns like roses do🤣.
      Also, don't you think anybody can put as much garlic and parsley as they desire? No one is stopping you to even put 1 kg of each in your artichokes.
      In the video I show how I like to make artichokes, everybody has their own preference and I like to respect that.
      Have a good day!

      @@randyantinori6659 I'm not wearing any protective gloves while handling the artichokes and I didn't get hurt. If the kind of artichokes you buy have more thorns you can wear gloves. Have a good day! :)
