He was up against Nuno Mendes, a left back who is considered a liability at PSG. Sancho played for the cameras last night and he made the positive parts look good, but he was also caught in possession on numerous occasions last night and made stray passes in dangerous positions which would probably have lead to goals in the PL. He also went through the motions of defending. If the media want to hype him up for their usual predictable reasons then bring it on, let's pump up the price of his transfer.

If a certain Roy Keane was Captain of this present United team, he would have lambasted Sancho for exhibiting a high level of unprofessional behavior. I don't get why the entire media and fanbase (of even the other clubs) say that Sancho was let down by United and ETH. Our manager started him regularly at the start and it actually felt like he had found his rhythm after scoring against Pool and Leicester early into last year. He had his mental health issues and it was again ETH I believe who sent him to The Netherlands and gave him enough time. I mean how is the club and manager at fault if he can't complete 3-4 dribbles as opposed to the 11 he completed yesterday. Dribbles are not down to the poor system, it's an individual thing so I don't get it.
And the main point which people forget is Sancho wasn't called out for his lack of ability, but his lack of desire and work ethic. We fans cried for a manager who would discipline this spoilt squad under Ole's leniency and Jose's toxic end but now here we are again supporting the player instead of the manager who tried to instill some discipline.

The most important thing is creating an environment where players (and by extension, managers) can thrive here. We need to remove the "Graveyard of talent" tag from Utd as soon as possible. Hopefully, INEOS can do that. In regard to Sancho himself, an apology is needed but at the same time let's be honest, we don't keep possession near as much as BVB does. We don't have link up play like they do either. Yesterday, he had Ryerson and Brandt always near him so it was easy to link up when attacking, at Utd we don't do that. So even if, he's reinstated at Utd and he apologises, unless we fundamentally change the way we play. He'll fail again and even Olise who we keep talking about might fail as well. There's a lot to think about as a result of that game last night.

The thing is, conducting yourself very well in training is not the same as training well. I feel like Sancho misunderstood what ETH was saying.
It's possible that ETH knew how good Sancho was, but Sancho wasn't pushing himself that extra mile the way the manager wanted him to. Like maybe he wasn't sprinting, or wasn't tracking back, or just wasn't doing told him.
Perhaps he scored 20 goals in training and thought he did a great job, but maybe he wasn't pressing at the right time, or wasn't communication with his teammates properly; and things just won't work if you think you know better than the manager, because you won't listen to the manager, and if a manager lets things like this slide then he loses control of the whole team.
It's kind of like when a substitute teacher comes into school for a few days and the pupils run riot because they can't control them.

I truly believe this goes beyond the manager, it just seems to me for too long now that the players are not happy at the club. There is a deep lying issue at the club that is causing highly rated players to not perform, Sancho is not the only one to fall foul of this. On the flipside, perhaps the this league simply does not suit him and as been said, the shirt weighs to heavy and is affecting him mentally.

The problem is Man United. We signed players at the wrong time simply because the club for a decade has been a wrong’un from the top down! That’s it! No structure, no cohesion. No planning on what to do to these signings coz the club had no system or a core style of play. And the culture of the club has been off!
Sancho redeemed himself last night. United kept him out of reach coz they didn’t know what they were doing with him. Why? Coz they over pedestalise Rashford as the main man taking the club forward, and ironically, for granted. We questioned Sancho’s attitude, look at how Rashford behave when he went to Belfast having it large at the rave knowing damn well he had training a day later. Make that make sense.😐
