I got an Xmaxx about 4 weeks ago. What an awesome truck! The way I’ve smashed it into stuff already without breaking anything is mind blowing. Keep it stock and it runs like a champ.
Up to a point yes. A few tasteful modifications and some power upgrades and you’d be surprised. Much better than stock.

What gearing would you suggest for the hobby wing 800kv with the max 5 not belt driven
I got a new Xmaxx for Christmas and ran I stock twice. On Saturday I put in a max6 and 20/50 gearing and ran it for about ten minutes in a baseball field by my house when the motor started smoking and basically blew. Also it was only 45 degrees outside. Why do you that happened ?
Thats really strange I've heard of that happening but never personally seen it... I've ran the max 6 on the stock motor for several months with no issues untill i decided to go max 5/800kv but its probably just bad luck, same thing with the servo some people will kill it first run others have it working a year+
@@RCMANIAC-YT yeah and Traxxas wasn’t interested in helping me out much either. They said to send in the motor and maybe I could get a new one with a small discount! Total bull shit!
Ha yea usually if you contact them it seems to either go that way or they are great about replacing it free or this is an odd one but sometimes they even request that you pay to ship the whole car to them and they will take a look at it 😂
XMaxx is better to run stock. Once you start changing stuff out, other stuff breaks. Stock all day for me and it’s fun as hell. 35’ jumps at he skate park for a month now and still rollin strong! Had to get tires already but a bad backflip blew out two of them.
