Thank you *SO* much. I saw the 4/1 Boston show with one of my friends but because my phone was set to record to my almost-full SD card I kept getting cut off in my recordings. I also may or may not have been a bit too trippy-minded to realize this until it was too late, hehe. (Side note - Parking was stressful and we even got towed since we couldn't find the right parking in time, no matter how we searched G-Maps or used the info on the venue's website; other concert-goers got towed for parking in the same lot too so it stung a bit less, but honestly I'd get towed again just to see Avey live again lmao)
I specifically wanted to be able to hear this live version of Lips At Night again, and the breakdown part in The Musical's live version, in full, so this is truly a blessing. Downloading and keeping forever alongside my own footage from the show I went to. Thank you thank you thank you.
P.S. Avey, if you're reading this, it would be freaking incredible if you release an official live version of Lips At Night, perhaps as a single alongside some 7s remixes or other live tracks (kind of like you did for Eucalyptus and Cows On Hourglass Pond). I really think this song shines the most in the live rendition you did (although considering how the album flows, it totally makes sense to me that it didn't go so crazy so early on in the studio version of the album) so it would just be awesome and I'd listen to it a ton for inspiration. It felt somehow familiar yet I don't think I've heard anything like it before, with the cello textures and particular, peculiar, intense energy. Just absolute musical/sound design gold. You and your work are amazing, dude. Thank you and much love from Connecticut.

Was avey selling the 7s limited edition vinyl at the shows? How was the merch generally?
the violet? yep! also cows and down there and 1 handmade 7s tour banner left! shirts were all sold out but similar to the banner and glow in the dark!
