How to eat without chewing
as someone who has had braces for a month and a half, i can confirm this is true.
It’s so bad, even a week after getting braces off, I’m still not biting food properly lol.
I learned how to chew very very slowly

Even though it’s “a increased risk of cavities while having on braces” I actually have had less cavities which is none then when I didn’t have them, and the weirdest part is I used to brush way more than I do with braces it’s super super strange how I don’t have any but super glad I don’t though.
Maybe you brushed your teeth too much?
I’ve had my braces for close to 3 weeks now, I’m going to try the stannous fluoride toothpaste. I saw some recently when adding some products to my portable cleaning kit. I’m glad you mention the differences because I thought it was a marketing scam.
just got my braces today like 3 hours ago. at first when they literally just put it in, it was uncomfortable and i was like "oh this isn't so bad" now here i am a couple hours later with my mouth in a lot of pain. lol
Same here when I got mine on at first. Sucks ass, but it's only temporary.
UPDATE: its now 10/9/2022 braces do not hurt at all but for the first 4 weeks they HURT. Dw tho it gets a LOT better

I've been a subscriber to your channel for a long time. I usually watch CZcams videos on my smart TV so I am not able to comment that way. I wanted to tell you thank you for explaining the difference between stanuous and not. I am a 46 y.o. that has been in braces for 3 and a half years. I read the back of several different toothpaste and they all say different percentages of different types of fluoride and its confusing. I do still get regular cleanings because it's important.

Does this process the same for people with aligners or is there a better way to prevent cavities with aligners? Can you make a video for people with aligners?
I guess I'm lucky since I had white spots on my front teeth from phase 1 orthodontic treatment that went away after I started using sodium fluoride toothpaste.

My first round of braces when I was in my teens I had the white spots.. I had to get resin composite put over my teeth.. oh babe they were cute lol fast forward to now.. I’m in my second set of braces 😒.. why ? Because I could no longer fit my retainer after the composite so here we are..

Hi Dr. Greg, can you please do a video about crooked smile and kabayoshi hook? They put a power chain on my kabayoshi hook and all the why on the back bracket kind of using it like a rubber band to make the teeth come together.

Hi doc, i have my upper lateral incisors smaller than the rest of my teth and there's gaps around both of them however the left one started rotating and there's gapes around it nothing pushing 😅 can you please explain why and what i can do about it. Thank you for your videos, they're very helpful to me. May I make a suggestion? You need a better microphone, perhaps a lavalier mic. You tend to speak rather quickly at times and you don't always enunciate everything clearly (no offense, I speak the same way). The amount of room ambience you're picking up is doing you no favors. A closer, narrower audio pickup would make it much easier to understand you. That being said, I'll keep watching no matter what mic you use!
Are you supposed to floss between the molar bands? My floss won’t fit and just breaks off. Concerned about the health of that area in my mouth. Thanks!
I have a question,I have a braces for a year now. the office where I go to, my orthodontist just moved to different state. Should I continue the treatment with him in the different state or continue the treatment with his replacement.

Hi doc, i have a question. I am on orthodontics treatment for about 2 months now and it caused me to did teeth extraction (1st molar upper jaw, and 2nd molar lower jaw). Okay so i’ve had my braces on for 3 and a half years, they are almost perfect in the mirror but they are VERY slanted in the back camera so it’s like top right side is higher but top left side is lower and bottom right side is higher but bottom left side is lower, very hard to explain over words, could u tell me ways i can put my elastics so i can bring the top left side down and the bottom right side up, please write back as quick as u can, i get them off in august
Hi Doc, I have had an issue after completing my orthodontic treatment that my tongue now has very limited room to rest inside my mouth when it closes, and it almost feels that I always have to consciously adjust my tongue throughout the day for speech and when exercise etc., more importantly, I feel like my breath now requires many efforts than I used to be. I have talked to my doctors and Otorhinolaryngology about it but I have yet to find a specialist to address this problem. Which specialist should I consult in this case? Thank you for your advice in advance.
With that concern, I might want to be on the lookout for any potential sleep apnea problems developing from that problem, or to check into muscle retraining exercises for the tongue, for future good health.

Do you have any videos on "Black Triangles"? I have had my braces for almost 16 months. My Orthodontist said my treatment has been great and that my teeth moved alot faster than expected and so it is expected to be completed in January 2023. My only thing I'm seeing right now are the spaces between my top and bottom front teeth. I really want those spaces to close. I've worked really hard on getting my dental health in-check and would love to have the best desired results.

A retainer should be worn for as long as you want your results to last (for most, that usually means for the rest of their lives).

I just got my rubber bands today. They in the center of my mouth front center teeth. And it s the most painful thing ever , those teeth hurt horribly much worst then when I got the braces. Damn my teeth better look nice after all of this.
I have a question, please reply! I have severe overjet, when in the treatment do you get molar bands? After the extraction of two premolars or before that? I have molar bands and its just there, its not even connected to the wire. Its just there which is very uncomfortable. Is there a reason for them to be there when its not connected to the wire?
I have slight protruding jaw. My orthodonstist wants to put braces and elastics on to make my bite even worse (moving lower jaw forward) to set up for surgery when it get moved back. Whats your take on this becaue i really dont want a bad underbite for 2 years. Are there alternatives that you can suggest?
Go with the surgery. You will be much better off in the long run. You can deal with the surgery set up for two years.

Is it bad to have sparkling drinks that do not contain sugar? I don’t normally drink soda but, for the past year I’ve been drinking a zero calorie/sugar soda called “Zevia”.
Its fine if you dont have it every single day because there is carbonic acid in the drink just like sodas

@@fartuunsharif9989 When i went to get my teeth cleaned, my dentist and hygienist said maybe because of the sudden force applied on the tooth. They didn't see any problem with that one, but still I'm kinda scared that I have cavity developing inside the band. I tried orajel mouthwash at night idk if it helps or the sensitivity just goes away by it own, but it is a tiny bit less painful than before. You should try it.

I got my braces 2.5 months ago and my doctor had put molar bands on my one premolar and two molars on each side and in total he had put 12 molar bands in my mouth.It feels weird and I am not even able to chew properly.Is it common?Can anybody please guide me.
