Then WHY did you run for VP in the first place? What were your goals?
Not to defend Binay, but a VP's power is indeed very limited. Their main power is the ability to cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate. That doesn't sound as powerful as it sounds, since most Senate leaders would lobby for support on a bill before calling for a vote. So they would know beforehand if a bill will pass or not. Being a vice president sounds powerful, but in my opinion, it's an empty title. They are mostly used as a trophy, and being summoned on events to shake people's hands.
Don't get me wrong, a vice president can do a lot of things, one of them is the ability to try to influence the president on a decision. VPs can also try to be more active and spearhead various projects. All I'm saying is, their titles sounds more powerful than they really are. That second student makes it sounds like VPs can do everything.
I totally agree with you, and I am also not a fan of Binay. Just imagine for example assistant coach, or assistant manager, you have to toe the line. You cannot work outside of what was asked from you by the president. I think the system is flawed, maybe it is better if the Vice President gets along very well with the president, imo.
Royce Remulla yeah, but it's unlikely. Presidents don't really let their VPs influence their decision. It's a power play. Following what the VP suggested instead of trusting your own call as a president is a sign of weakness.

Mga ka isko, iska, we have to understand na the government we have right now does not work like a monolith. We can expect Binay to assist but he can only go to a certain extent. Sometimes, our idealism blinds us from what is happening on the ground.

There should be no problem in the forum and it was still a proper decorum. What's wrong should be how the weak minded people over react to it. There's nothing rude or not even to sound boasting. Just like what the title says, that's "roasting". It's a forum, an open discussion, not SONA. So if you're inconsistent, you'll be asked "to clarify things up". The students were honest while EVP managed to stay calm, I mean he wasn't like Mar R. who shouts or swears when he doesn't appreciate what he hears. How are those who asked questions? Disappointed. How's EVP? Steady for his goal. Don't you think the concerns raised aren't vital? Didn't they address him properly with polite remark? It's like you caught your dad kissing and caressing other woman in a cafe or restaurant. Will you be disrespectful to ask him, "Dad, why are you dating another woman?"
