His deep friendship with Ferrus makes more sense, despite their contrasting philosophies when you realize they were both utterly dedicated to making themselves into the perfect weapons for the emperor. One took a maximalist approach to this effort, the other took a minimalist approach to it. But they each saw in the other a dedication to the same goal.

He’s so close 🥰
Fulgrim is one of those Primarchs you ignore at first and kind of know by meme: a peacock, an arrogant son of a bitch who got corrupted by the sword. But once you get into his lore, he's really a tragic character. His whole rise on Chemos, from a lowly laborer to running the entire planet, turning it from a shithole into an efficient, good world to live in without any bloodshed, is impressive. He was charismatic like Horus, had management skills like Guilliman, smithing skills like Vulkan and Ferrus, and was a warrior and duelist equivalent to the Lion and Russ. Sure, he wasn't the best, but he was the second best in all those areas and was an all-rounder.
It really feels like Fulgrim was meant for the post-Crusade era, where he and his legion would shine. While the other Primarchs were built for war, Fulgrim and his legion would basically represent the Emperor's idealism and be the standard that the Imperium's common people would strive for. I could see the other legions being repurposed for defense duties near the Imperium's fringe against the Orks and other xenos, while Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children would essentially be going around the Imperium to spread that optimistic perfectionism of every individual and achieving it for the Imperium.
Also, I know it will never happen, but I really wish GW would bring back Clonegrim. Imagine a renegade Fulgrim, neither working for Chaos nor the Imperium since he would still be branded as a heretic, recruiting and building his own Emperor's Children in 41k. They'd still have their old military doctrine about striving to be the best, but their purpose would be fighting the Chaos Emperor's Children while being vigilantes and running away from the Imperium. As a gamer, you would also be able to build a pre-Heresy noble (purple and gold) Emperor's Children army.
Saddened by the news that this is your last 40k lore video, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Keep your head up man.

Right off the bat, a previously handsome large man in purple armor.
Maybe a spicy take but Fulgrim is my favorite of the primarchs. His fall is just so massive and his early speeches really made me realize what a tragic loss he was to the Imperium. The striving for perfection leading to his absolute failure just clicks better for me than most primarch stories.
I don't think Fulgrim is the Daemon Prince. Maybe the daemon just got better at lying.

I'm sad to see that this is the last of the Warhammer 40K videos for the time being. My enjoying of niche topics leeds to lower views than blackbriar mead but it's not to say that it has no quality or or somehow less palatable but I do understand it's your business and i respect your judgement but i look forward to seeing a few 40k videos but at you leisure.
