- Fambam, we wish we were coming today with better news but unfortunately that isn't the case. We had a miscarriage. The past week has been a roller coaster of emotions and we have been taking things day by day. Below is something Charlotte shared on Instagram that I wanted to also share here. the last couple weeks have been a rollercoaster. i went from sitting in anticipation to the exhilarating high of experiencing a positive pregnancy test and sharing the news with ced, to the crushing low of spotting for several days that ultimately led me to the hospital with increasing pain and bleeding to confirm that i was having a miscarriage.
i am sad. disappointed. heartbroken. i know it is not my fault, but the weight is still heavy.
through the darkness, i have also experienced steady glimpses of light. i am thankful for my gentle and comforting partner who has grieved with me while supporting me every step of the way. for my sweetest girls who don’t know what’s going on, but somehow seem to know and know exactly what to do to love on and care for their momma. for the incredible community that has been intricately and intentionally built around me who have held space to process with me and to lift me up.
as i walk through this, i carry all of the women i know and those i will never know who have experienced similar losses in my heart. my heart aches for those who have felt alone through their loss. my hope in sharing is that you may feel less alone. i see you, and i am so sorry.
today, it really fricking sucks and the pain stings. tomorrow, it will, too. and still, i am hopeful that somewhere down the road there are rainbows of some shape or form for us.

Hey fam, I'm Ced.
I'm a retired NFL player and full-time husband, father, and content creator. Yes, I put "full time" husband and father not because I look at is a "job" but, I treat it as my first occupation as to where I put most of my time and energy in to succeed and be present in these roles of being the best husband and father I can be. It's kinda crazy that what I do full time for work is content creation because I never saw myself doing this, honestly, I never knew what I'd be doing outside of playing football. Football was all I ever knew since I was 10 years old, everything I ever did in my life related back to football from the way that I think, eat, sleep, make decisions and view life. These ways of thinking brought much success in the world in the football world, from earning a full-ride D1 scholarship to the University of Minnesota to being drafted to the Miami Dolphins in the 5th round. In my life now, I have to still keep the same mentality that brought me all the success in the football world but switch up the execution and game plan to become the best husband and father that I can be. This is what I do here on Football to Fatherhood and I hope you can tag along with me on this journey and become a part of the fambam!

Ced always remember that whenever you reach out to "us" you are reaching out to family. You ,Charlotte and the kids are family to us. I was 17.5 weeks and miscarried. Had no signs, just woke up one day with major cramps & a hour later pushed the baby out. The day I was supposed to find out the gender too. Such a traumatic experience. Praying for y'all. ❤️

Sorry for your loss. I had a misacarriage at 6 months, so I know. It happened years ago when there was no ultrasound or seeing baby on a screen, it was a very difficult time for me and I never spoke about it even to this day but watching this video has taken me back to that time and has made my tears flow. I had a neighbour who was like a grandmother to me and her words were, 'Yes you will grieve, but the Lord is too wise to make a mistake, he knew something that you didn't, so just trust in him'. God has a plan for all of us, sometimes we may not like the outcome but there is a reason bigger than us all. Me and my wife went through that and it hurt but a few months later it worked out and now I have a 19year old daughter.🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’m sorry for your guys’ loss. I know how hard it is. Im 29 and have had 2 miscarriages. We have one 3 yr old born around the same time as maddie. We were trying for our second baby for 7 months and found out we were expecting in July. Just found out last week at 9 weeks that we lost the baby and I’m prepping for surgery tmrw. With my first miscarriage, I lost the baby at 13 weeks. It’s hard but will make it so much more special for the next successful pregnancy. So sorry for your loss Tammy!!!This will sound odd but it’s comforting to see other women express their pain of A miscarriage; makes me feel that I am not alone, other women have felt the pain I went thru, the erratic emotional rollercost, the tears, sheer Joy stolen away from you. We’ll all eventually heal some day; every day is A journey & step towards emotional healing after all the trauma.
I had 2 kids then my 3rd was a miscarriage so I know how your feeling I did have a fourth pregnancy and delivered a beautiful baby girl…you will be ok it’s tough but God is always with you and has a plan ❤️

I also know the lost of a child on June 26,1980 my son Christopher was Stillborn and the pain of having to go through the delivery at 39 weeks knowing my child was gone still leaves a emptiness in my heart to this day. So sorry for your loss. My cousin recently suffered a loss at 21 weeks and sadly had to deliver the baby. We are all still reeling from going through that with her so I can only imagine how deep your pain is now.
I recently read something that said God gives angel babies to all the mothers in heaven to be cared for. And it helped me feel a little more at ease with my loss. I experienced a miscarriage in 2018. My rainbow baby will be 2 next month🌈

I’m sorry for your loss guys. I suffered a miscarriage as well. I know it’s devastating. It is an emotional time. At the time I had two kids as well. After that we had an additional baby. It’s definitely no ones fault. Praying for strength and comfort as you grieve this loss.

I had a miscarriage a year and a half ago and even though I now have a healthy 6 month old, I’m crying along with you two because this video brings me right back to the day I went to the hospital and they told me I was miscarrying. Sending Charlotte and your family endless love and prayers! This hits home in so many ways. I suffered a miscarriage before our daughter. We then recently started trying for baby #2 and again I suffered a miscarriage.
