Owning a Chris Reeve is a milestone. Once you get there, you assess your present collection and how you want to move forward. I will still pick up a Kizer on occasion or a disposable budget knife for box work, but I buy knives with much greater consideration post-CR.
VERY unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer the straight titanium scales to any with inlays. I don't know what it is, but something about a flat slab of Ti just looks better.
Chris has nothing to do with a business. He's been away from the business for a long time. His design is epic.
I prefer the Drop point blade, but YES ! best there is, and has been for lots of years...Mine is a Sebenza 31 in Magnacut, Inlaid Macassar Ebony...Love it ....OnWard........
Insingo Gaaaaang!! I'm actually carrying my PJ Magnacut Insingo today. You know how I feel about it. If I could only keep one.....
A 7.5 oal medium size sebenza would be sweet and would end up buying way more of them. I just bought a tanto magnacut sebenza and nobody does tantos like crk. Send your inkosi off to bgm and have him thin out the hollow grind and make the tip pointer with a swedge, you won't be disappointed
I have the same inlay and Insingo blade but in a small, and I am excited to finally have a PJ Large on the way in Magnacut.
Love this blade. And the color combo
the blade shape is pretty special...
Congratulations on getting one! Love this knife! Hopefully one day I’ll get one in this layout 🤞.. I love the clip actually but if they just made it polished instead of blasted it would look better
I agree... there really should be a medium. They say they won't make one, but who knows.
I find it odd that CRK hasn't expanded their shop more. I know equipment is expensive but when every product they produce sells out almost instantly, you'd think after this many years they'd ramp up production a bit more. 4+ year lead times for a direct order is pretty insane!
Hard to scale their level of quality control and craftsmanship
Sick blade man
Nice knife for sure. Personally, I much prefer the standard clips on CRKs (and Spydercos) over milled ones since they're stronger and springier, so the function wins out.
Love Blade Ops , just got a sebenza small tanto. , micarta (black) inlays , magna cut , they are terrific to do business with ! 🤗
The small sebenza fits my medium hand perfectly. It’s a comfortable 4 finger grip. The small inkosi is for some reason tiny 😂 it’s a 3 finger knife
Oh nice!
The blade and packaging are nice . . .
Sweet!
I love this knife but I don't know why I like my Large Inkosi Insingo more than my large Sebenza. And on the other side I like my small Sebenza Insingo more than my small Inkosi.🎉😂
Something has changed with CRK's sandblasting and it's gotten really dark- too dark, I really do not like that extremely dark titanium finish they've gone to...
On the other hand I'm the new owner of a brand- first owner stored in a safe mint 2015 Snakewood Inlay sebenza 21 perfec-tion! God it's gorgeous.. one of the last ones made while Chris Reeve was still there.. top it off, I could actually thumb flick it right out of the box instead of it being too tight, for me it's the most perfect knife any man could ever own.
Fully figured patterned Snakewood is among the most expensive wood in the world it's one of the hardest words in the world and it's the toughest & most dense wood in the world... known to often break drill bits, called snakewood because of its snake stripe pattern. Wish I could post a photo
Thanks for sharing bud very nice! Maybe they will have a heart and just go ahead and give it to you
CRK in January 2023: "We are currently producing orders placed in March 2021, yours was placed in May 2021"
CRK 5 months later (now): "We are currently producing orders placed in March 2021, yours was placed in May 2021"
It's been over 2 years. Someday I will have a Sebenza.
I don't think you can find a better production knife than a CRK. I have a large inkosi, 31, and zaan. They're perfection.
Can always send you a fourth CRK for the channel...
Also it's Tim Reeve now, but you know that
The zaan is the one Ian?
@@Hungrybird474 Naturally.
@@HeyItsCoatesI was gonna say the same thing. Chris got bought out after the divorce. His ex- wife and son now own 100%. Kinda sad remember way back when Chris use to answer the phone. Seems strange not having him be worst of it
I just got the same one in black micarta. So knice. My first CRK. Where do you get thumbstuds? I need this information!!
Ti connector has them
Damn that LARGE SEBENZA 31 BOX ELDER BURL, MAGNACUT INSINGO is the 💩. I have a L 31 bog oak inlay s45 and yum yum yum. Want to get another but maybe an Inkosi w an insigno blade. Oh the joy!
Get it
I'm gonna be getting a Feldspar. Do you have a link to WMK for it? Ill use it if you do.
Just use my discount code TRISTATE10 🤙
What's the difference in the insingo and the others like the inkosi hollow grind to flat grind or something think I'm gonna buy the large black micarta one if it'll be there in a few days instead of the factor b3 you have to wait 6 months after pre ordering wish it wasn't on washers and it had double studs
CRK models,
Sebenza
Inkosi
Umnumzaan
All are hollow grinds
Blade shapes
Drop point
Insingo ( not available on the zaan)
Tanto
If you wish it was on bearings it will never be the right knife for you. It will loosen up but it will never be like a bearing knife.
I still love it I think Chris is an awesome dude whose built something really cool and it's american made I wanna support that
@@willthompson9073 Awesome. 🍻
I need it
Hahaha the new sebenza only cost $598,453,789.50+$10 shipping 😂
Affordable 🤣
My guy OP thought he made a joke, but all that happened was he let us know how broke he is.
I have a small Sebenza CRK i need a Large! 😅 Also need to try an Inkosi🤔
Kole, you wanna trade that for about 15 high end budget knives 😂😂
Mate you were born to do this! Well done! Subbbbbbed ❤
My insingo blade started to cut into the lanyard after opening and closing it less than 5 times, definitely a design flaw.
CRK are great it just sucks it takes 4 to6 years to get some models unless you go to the secondary
These are available now though 😏😏
Sell your Elementum, Thanks Kole 😎
“Jacked to the T!TS” 😆
🤣🤣🤣
I want one!!!
First talk to the wife....
I wonder why alot of these knife stores dont have layaway i aint made of money lol its just curious to me
This sebenza is similar to tristate. Pretty much perfect but has no rear stud.
It bit you. It's yours now. A knife bites the person it has chosen as its owner. I have the Large31 drop point with black micarta and the Large Inkosi drop point with the same micarta as yours. Both awesome knives. They definitely make it hard to buy other knives
Mines has S45 and it cuts fine. Y we needs magnacut? Machoism? (Badassery)?, SDS, its obsurd to use a SuperSteel this good. Lol. To each his own! Buck started using it on the 110 for the love of Pete! Buck! Wow. They all follow(trends), and this is one. Thats All…🥴🥴✌️🍼🍼
I generally like your videos but this just felt like an affiliate link sales pitch
well, in all honesty, I had just started working with Bladeops when this video came out, so yes... I wanted to put my best foot forward if that makes sense.
@@TristateEDC fair enough, and I appreciate the straight forward reply.
You’re a funny, clever dude and I enjoy that about your videos!
Too bad all the new sebenza 31's are riddled with lock rock, huge fail. The ceramic ball lock interface is the biggest mistake they could've made. Tiny slippery ceramic ball contact patch on slippery metal blade tang. Doesn't get much more slippery and lock rocky than that. Sent them back, kept my original 21's. Prefer spending my $ on demkos knives these days.
