    I’m 16, just picked up this exact scooter for $1100, talked it down from 1600. It has 18k miles. This thing is amazing I can already drive it really good and I got it up to 50mph and after that I was a bit scared speeding and all 😂 getting my license soon so it’s gonna be very fun to get to school and work. Looking forward and good video this thing is a beast

      @JtacLIVE-vq6pu - Hey congrats on your new Forza. I have 2 myself, one here and one in Thailand. Took many long multi-day trips with it. Question: does the seat stay up? I'm putting in a stronger hydraulic hinge on mine soon, look for that video in a few weeks. Be safe out there, wear a helmet and drive on the defense. When you're on a motor bike it doesn't matter who's right or wrong, you want to be around to ride another day! Good luck and enjoy your new ride!

      There are some great scenic rides up and down the lake. The one going north up through Duck lake is really nice. This is probably a good time to pick up a scooter, although it might be a chilly ride. Never stopped me, all I need is dry and sun and I will be out there. I also picked up some handle bar muffs to fight the cold in the winter. Love it!

      @taebert - Yes the Forza can run comfortably at 75-80, unless you are going uphill at about a 15-20 degree incline. I max out at about 55-60 in that case. Riding two up also slows things down a bit.

    Hello everyone I have home in ohio and Phuket Thailand. In Thailand all we drive are scooters. I have honda PCX150 for my wife and Forza 300 for myself which we use on long trips. Being so popular here we do a lot with them. The best modification is to put a high performance centrifugal clutch in. Very inexpensive (here) and will give you 25%,more power and top speed. I got 100mph alone and 85 with wife as passenger.

    Just got a mint conditioner 2014 honda Forza. Only 760 miles at purchase. Already in a week tacked on 100 happy miles. Love the bike. Can you recommend how often I should change oil, break fluid, water in radiator?, air filter? Am I missing anything? Could you do a video on the maintenance process of the Forza? Really love the vids. You are the king of your castle!

    • @zooskifilms
      @zooskifilms  Před 2 lety +1

      @Jim p - Thanks for watching and for the questions. And some answers from the Honda Forza service manual:
      - Oil filter and oil - first change at 600 miles (1,000km), then at 8,000 miles (12,800km) and every 8,000 miles -OR- every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
      - Brake Fluid change - Inspect every 4,000 miles (6,400km) and replace every 8,000 miles (12,800km) -OR- every 2 years, whichever occurs first.
      - Cooling system (radiator) - Inspect every 8,000 miles (12,800km). No comment about replacing. My recommendation would be to change every 4-5 years, sooner (say 3 years) if you live in a hot climate.
      - Air filter (called belt case air cleaner) - change every 4,000 miles (6,400km).
      And yes, there are many more items on the maintenance schedule list. I posted a photo of the page in my Community tab on my channel and also put a link into the Description so you can see the full schedule. I think it's great idea to make a video of reviewing all of the maintenance items on the Forza and then link to a separate detailed video for a specific item (I already have a few, but more are definitely needed). Thanks for the idea! Cheers.

    • @zooskifilms
      @zooskifilms  Před 3 lety +1

      Interesting, I didn't have the same experience in Thailand. I have one in Thailand at my wife's parents home. We have taken long trips to Chiang Mai for example, and drove between 100-120km/hr fairly often, up and down through the mountains. The roads can be uneven in stretches, I assume because of the heat, but I never associated the movement to the Forza.

  • @optimusprime6436
    @optimusprime6436 Před 2 lety +2

    Great video thanks. Ive been considering this bike. I'm also 6'2+. How is the seating position on it? That huge knot in the seat makes me think that its uncomfortable because you can't shift your butt rearwards in case you want to adjust your position. Also, how far are the handle bars above your knees? Do you feel like you can hit your knees if you turn the handle bars too much? Lastly, do you find you have enough space to move your feet round or is it limited space for your feet?
    I'm trying to compare this to my Kymco People GTI 300 which is a direct competitor to the Forza. My Kymco is very very spacious and definitely built for taller riders like ourselves.

    • @zooskifilms
      @zooskifilms  Před 2 lety +2

      @Optimus Prime - Thanks for your comment and for watching. The seating position is not too bad, and that knot in the middle is not too bad, for me at least. It’s actually quite nice to have when riding 2-up. But if solo I can see where it might be nuisance. I have no issue with my knees hitting the handlebars during normal riding. If I’m taking a sharp turn you do need to open up your legs to get the knee out of the way. Normally this is done at low speeds so not an issue for me. I do also feel like there is plenty of space to shift your feet forward and backward. Going forward you will have to also go up, but I like that feel because it lets me stretch my hamstring. I never rode the Kymco so not able to comment on how it compares. I love my Forzas, the one here in the States and the one in Thailand. Ride safe!!

      @@zooskifilms From your response I think I'll have to pass on the 1st gen Forza then. If you were closer to my location, northeast, I'd let you review my kymco people 300 for YT. Its also the most powerful, largest flat floor scooter (299cc, so a true 300cc unlike the Forza or even the 2022 Xmax which is 292cc, and others), made a decade ago with no rival since. I want to replace for a newer scooter but nothing else compares to it in terms of spaciousness for long legged people and power. Easily a 80mph+ bike.

    As the miles accumulate the belt narrows as it wears, worn belts lower the gearing and affect performance.

      Scooty Man - yes, it has a Devil Evolution exhaust on it. I did not adjust the fueling, so it's possible it might be running lean. Interesting that you can hear that from the exhaust! I will have to look into this.

    • @scootyman2974
      @scootyman2974 Před 4 lety +1

      zooskifilms a good place to start would be the Yuminashi direst sales website. It is quite possible that your ecu will ‘learn’ and adapt your fuelling if there is enough capacity with the existing injector. If not, have a scroll around the site and you will find recommended fuel flow for different size engines etc. If you cannot find, send me a pm and I’ll send you the info.
      I have been playing with a Vision 110 and larger throttle bodies. Same thing applies. More air in means you need more fuel in too. I installed a larger injector also and reset the ECU and the throttle position sensor and jobs a good’n. It’s not perfect yet but it has more torque up hills.
      Maybe you should reset your ECU and ride for 30+ miles till the ECU learns the fuelling it needs again. Might give you different results.
      Just a thought and hope that helps

      Scotty Man - thanks for the tips and info! I’m going to check it out and report back. I’m curious how one ultimately knows when everything is optimal? Is it by throttle feel or sound or do you need a dyno? Thanks again!

    • @scootyman2974
      @scootyman2974 Před 4 lety +1

      zooskifilms you can buy an air/fuel ratio gauge but note: there are two types. Narrowband and wide band. Narrow band is the type mostly used on scooters and will give an indication of where you’re fuelling is at however, it will show a constant fluctuation between rich and lean. That’s because your engine ecu is constantly adjusting the fuelling to keep things optimal. I use an analogue type one whilst I am tuning and checking as a rough guide simply to ensure I’m. It running too rich or lean. I don’t think a narrowband gauge is that accurate like a wide band. Some if not most Narrowband gauges will work by picking up a voltage signal between 0-1volt from the zirconium O2 sensor your scooter may well be fitted with. It is also possible to get an idea without a gauge mind by monitoring engine behaviour. Hope that helps

      @scootyman2974 Před 4 lety +1

      zooskifilms just as an extra comment on this subject, I remember years ago in the Suzuki VanVan forum, there were reports from people with aftermarket exhausts (I think it was a devil too) that had carbon problems due to the wrong fuel mixture. If I remember rightly it was something to do with the change of exhaust causing running and fuelling problems. You might want to have a search on the subject but I have to say your scooter appears to run very well.

One thing I find now is that when I spend lots of time at high speed I'll get a coolant drip around the water pump when I park the bike. I come back after some time and see a few drops on the ground. I had a similar issue when I first purchased the bike, the dealer repaired it but now after 5 years seeing this again. Will have to investigate and make a video on the issue. Cheers!

    Im debating between this and a Honda Elite 250. Power to weight on the Elite is slightly better, but idk how thatd actually account for acceleration. The Forza has 20k+ miles and the Elite has 8k. If im honest, the shimming valves thing kinda stresses me out

    • @zooskifilms
      @zooskifilms  Před 3 lety

      I hear ya. The valve shimming will have to happen on any combustible engine. I’m curious when I’ll have to actually change a shim out. The Elite 250 seems to be an older model. For me personally I would take the newer model.
