    Just got the 125 Forza in October 2018 in London UK, in that gorgeous Burgundy red. The 125 WILL do a genuine 70+ MPH as shown on my GPS. This was on level ground on a blustery day. Going downhill & hunkered down, you can push towards 80.. It has ALL the plush features of the 300, in fact the fuel saving auto cut off is missing from the 300. But of course the 300 does get cruise control & traction. However they both share full LED lighting, the new dash, the electric Visor, and ABS (on the rear as well on the 125). She's a proper head turner & a pleasure to ride.

    Please do a road teat of one of these types of bikes in the Thames Valley. Proper commuter tests when a few hundred thousand car drivers move each morning and evening. Keep seeing Manchester and Cambridgeshire in bike reviews which is fine, but if you want to get people on two wheels, please follow the pollution.

      Wouldn't it work the same as with a car?
      My car has a keyless ignition, and it also locks itself when I walk away.
      When I walk back, however, the mirrors unfold, but the car is still locked until I physically open the door. :)
      So perhaps you actually need to do something with the bike as well?

    • @4TheRecord
      @4TheRecord Před 3 lety

      (For the 2020/21 model) That's very simple, you can deactivate the key fob which I do for extra security when leaving the bike. This means the bike isn't able to see the key fob so it's the same as if you walked away from it.
      You can deactivate and re-activate the key fob by pressing and holding in the second button on the key fob. When the light flashes red it's off, green is on.

    For down-town heavy city traffic with narrow spaces (and escapes;) these Hondas are simply too big and bulky - and h e a v y.
    I think there is a gap in the market for between the light, nimble under-powered budget rides and the bulky premium scooters.
    I would definitely pay extra for a good power-to-weight ratio, high q. build, and as narrow as possible width footprint scooter; made to pass between tight lines of traffic and fast acceleration from 0-60 kph to get a head of traffic when lights turn green. Weirdly this kind of scooter does not seem to exist yet.

  • @ydnarenrut
    @ydnarenrut Před 5 lety +3

    Bit of a joke video from a bike magazine. I mean riding round one handed is shoddy and speaks volumes. They never compared it to the Yamaha XMax 300 either which must be its main rival nor did they show the storage space which is a key selling point for these bikes...... shame really as a missed opportunity.

  • @benpar8120
    @benpar8120 Před 5 lety +8

    You say that you would have one of these scooters if you were commuting. ?
    I take it that you have never commuted from the suburbs to a big city?
    Take my 13 mile commute from a London suburb to The City where parking is extremely difficult.
    A scooter like this might be fine for the Journey, but where do you park it?
    It's HUGE, even in 125cc guise.
    It's Far too big & bulky to put in a Motorcycle bay with other bike's, you would never get it into the limited number of bays !! Not to mention riding it in crowded streets and trying to filter down the middle of the road.
    The scooter needs to be shorter and narrower ideally around 1.8m long 50cm wide. Think Honda anf 125cc size.
    AND £5k for a Scooter? Come on! !!
    You can buy a Honda pcx 125 for around £3000, and even thats pricey & a bit on the large size.
    Maybe you should test ride in "Real World " conditions, NOT the South of France when you are evaluating these bikes and making recommendations! !!
    Time for you free loading Journos to come back to the real world.!!!

      I use a pcx 125 for commuting in the UK, and it's perfect, but I'm here looking for something more powerful and bigger. So each to their own. And for 5k, the forza 300 is a good price.
