    My Honda PCX 150cc bike is very similar to the European Forza 125cc. When I have had to brake hard in emergencies with a pillion rider and loaded top box the rear wheel swings around to the right and the weight shift causes the front wheel to slide out from underneath and to the left. As I generally ride slowly and start to break early we hit the ground at slow speed and our helmets safe our lives. A bike test should involve some extreme braking tests.
    The tyres fitted new in Thailand have very little tread and look more like racing slicks. I’m told they are good in the wet but they seem very slippery to me. My Honda Wave 110cc had better grip in the wet, but then I could stand on the foot rests and had far better control. Any bike test should include dirt road riding tests. Scooters keep you dry but they are almost uncontrollable. Scooters are ridden with the seat of your pants, motorcycles are controlled with the feet and legs. Scooters are dangerous with the pot holes and ruts in Thailand and I long for the big wheels of the motorbikes I rode in the 1950s.
    The BSA 650cc topped out just over 85mph or 138 KM/H and my PCX150cc has a top speed of 120 KM/H. Fantastic performance from such a light bike. As the maximum speed where motorcycles are permitted in Thailand is 90 KM/H I now ride a Honda Click, a much lighter town bike. The CVT transmission and safety features like LED headlights and when the stand is down the bike won’t start make these bikes great commuter bikes. You did not mention these on the Forza.
    In Thailand the 300cc Forza is a much bigger and heavier bike design more for highway travel and its seats are softer and more comfortable. Why don’t modern motorcycle commentators ever mention how hard and uncomfortable the seats are? The sprung, padded seats and long travel suspension of the British bikes like the BSA 650 could be ridden long distances in relative comfort but these scooters have a 1 hour limit before a sore bum dictates demounting and walk away. Maybe that is why the fuel tanks are so small.
    When you say the bike rides just like last years model do realise we have not had the 125cc Forza in Thailand or Australia.
    In Australia my friend has a PCX250cc. I think the Forza 125 is specially made for European roads and riders.
    There is a new Honda Cub 110cc with proper front shock absorbers coming to Thailand. We call them Postie bikes because in Australia the mail is delivered using these motorcycles. Will I go back to a centrifugal clutch to get foot pedals, splash guard protection and dirt road tyres, large wheels and suspension? the Honda Cub sells new for 42,300 Thai Baht, that equals €1,157 Euros or US $1,315.

    Do you prefer Forza 125 2019 or XMax?
    Another question, I also have an NMax 2018, do you think it is worth to switch to Forza 2019? (I am interested in knowing your opinion - value vs money)
    Thanks

    • @BenalRida
      @BenalRida  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey, thanks for getting in touch. Well, I was surprised how easy to handle the Honda Forza 2018 or 2019 is. In the curves it handles better than my NMAX and the XMAX. With the Yamahas you think the scooter might fall into the curve but with the Honda there is no problem and it feels very safe. I know the price difference is quite drastic but I would definitely get a Honda Forza 2018 or 2019. I would be hesitant about the XMAX 125. I also test rode it (see my video) and it also seems to have less power output than the Honda. I think all in all the Honda is a better deal. Just my opinion :)

      @@BenalRida Thank you for your immediate reply. I really appreciate your point of view. What about pulling power of Forza 2019 125 in comparison to NMax? One last thing, if you can tell me a bit more about the city comfort of Forza in comparison to NMax? (I mean is it quite bulky and hard to manoeuvre between the cars?) - Thank you for the feedback!

    • @BenalRida
      @BenalRida  Před 5 lety

      @@integrateddesignstudiosltd884 Hi, maneuverability I cannot fully comment on, since I don't do much filtering, but as I said when doing turns the Hondas feel much better and safer and seem more nimble in this regard. Powerwise I would prefer the Honda Forza to the XMAX but I think the NMAX is a bit better since it's lighter.

      Hello Alexandros, when it comes to my weight and height 175 cm and 80 kg I think it is a perfect maxi scooter with enough 125-cc power. If you are also thinking about the Yamaha XMAX125, I would not recommend it. The Honda Forza is more powerful and easier to handle (in my opinion of course). Thanks for stopping by.
