      But if they do that it has to look like the ones from the original Jurassic Park movie. You'll need to charge it then hit a button sequence every time you lose power.

    These updates to power infrastructure is such a quality of life upgrade. It's gonna be less tedious to get started with far out factories, and late game the priority switch is just going to make it so you don't have to spend time running across the map to manage power. Great work! And seriously - don't stress about being late with the update. Thank you for being honest and taking care of your employees while still doing great work.

    One thing that's still difficult to do is plot out smooth paths and curves, like when running power long-distance to a miner. It would be nice if some kind of "planning spline curve" could be added to the map interface, and it would somewhat guide power line, conveyor, and hyper-tube placement in the world.
    I definitely like the power towers, as it will make those long-distance runs look so much more believable!

    What I see with the power switches and towers is a line of towers thats for long distances, with poles coming off from them into a switch which is connected to the specific segment.

      Curves is a tricky part. There are big variety of radiuses, angles and inclinations.
      And what to do with paintings?
      Actually, roads are not exist. There are only foundations for clean up a factory

    3:10 I *LOVE* how your build it then race the materials for it to the tower using zipline. That was hilarious. I was kinda hoping the towers would carry 2 individual lines and you could use them to run 2 different networks across the world. That would be even more helpful now that we have the priority power switches. But Im sure we can still manage with them as one, just takes a bit more planning ahead.

      All of my factories are already distributed. It will be awesome planning them out to where power load is managed properly. I basically generate far more power then I currently use and continue to do so. It will be awesome to set it up to where the passive power generation is enough to cold start other power generation factories.
      Also, I have been moving to centralize and the fuse system would allow for not having to do that.

    I already wire things with specific poles to act as cutoff points. This is like that but SO much better. This is such an awesome feature. I also love it that you made a power tower with a platform specifically for zipline purposes. Yet another 10/10 update.

    Thanks CSS devs for all your powerful hard work you are pushing into Satisfactory. I think we all here already bought the game since Update 1, 2,5 or whatever and to be honest.. I would pay again when the 1.0 patch is coming out with story mode because you are the only studio I would support to do that if you keep your strategy like now to talk to us transparently. And as someone who creates something with UE5 as a hobby and worked already in another gaming company, I couldn't imagine a better studio like CSS.
    Not all heroes wear capes and you are truly one of them

    These are awesome features. One thing that would be the ultimate cherry on top would be if the power towers had a mount point in them for belts/hypertubes. I know you'd need to lengthen max build distances for those objects as well, but man, that would be pretty sweet to get some free belt highway slots along with them.

    I work in power generation. The priority power groups behave exactly like the grid load shed system I monitor, where the lowest priority groups are shed in sequence until the grid stabilises. Great job 🙂

    This is really great, even just with a coal generator setup, to make its own power grid, you had to do a lot of adjustments with batteries just so you could walk by it with your hover pack on without tripping the fuse. This makes that all super simple.

    I hope we get an Alarm that we can make sound if they're connected to power and that a new switch turns on or off when one of the Power values drops below or ries above another one or a set constant. That way you would get alerted before it's too late. A sensor for when a conveyor belt or pipe fills up, empties or goes below a certain throughput would also be great for fault detection.

    Hello, CS. I work in energy company. the main task is not only the quality and provision of sufficient energy for consumers, but also the safe transportation from producers to consumers. There are different voltage levels. e.g. 500kV, 220kV, 110kV, etc. When transferring a large amount of energy, there is a risk of overloading the line, the equipment cannot pass too much current, you have to build new lines or increase the voltage (to reduce the current strength) by adding new substations and transformers. Also, when delivering energy over long distances, there are big losses and sometimes it is more expedient to build separate stations for internal needs next to consumers (of course, reactive power is also to blame here). If there is at least some opportunity to implement at least some of this in the future, it would be great!)

    I love the powertowers. Ive been building Powerpoles with the same task as a powertower, but it always lacked a good visual difference to my casual powerpoles. Love the higher Cable range aswell.

      I was thinking the same thing hehe. Love how all these machines must be capable of both generating and running on infinitely high voltage given the 0% loss over distance, and yet somehow still prevent the infinitely large resulting magnetic field around the cables from being absorbed by surrounding matter, which would render the loss near-100%. This is the kind of innovation that we need more in the world.

    I made a blueprint called Power Towers! It’s a stackable building segment that’s full of backup power chargers. Pile them on top of each other to make a tower.

    Last save I did 5 separate power lines for each facility: power production, materials production, non-critical awesome sinks, utilities (lights, radar, hypertube), and backup. This seems like it could just be one line, and the remote control to disable/enable distant facilities. Great work.

    As an electrician, the power distribution network is my favorite part of the game. I'm definitely going to use these as switch gears to control different floors/processes within single factories. Absolutely great addition, but can they be isolated or is there only one master list of fuse priorities?

    Those are some really great looking features. One, minor, suggestion: Having the remote priority power switches greyed out, in the fuse menu, makes it look like you can't interact with them. You may want to consider a different color scheme or a different way of distinguishing the switch you're at from the others. (Maybe just put a star next to it?)

    the power priority will be so handy, I have been using separate grids to power the subordinate buildings to produce power for the main grid

    One idea to add to the priority switch is an emergency spot so when the power shuts off it lets power go to the factory like if you have nuclear you can kick an emergency nuclear waste recycler or emergency fuel plant to start up a nuclear plant after a melt down
