- In this video, we finally start our long awaited trip in Sumatra!
We've been wanting to go to Sumatra for a couple years now, even before we started this CZcams Channel. We're happy that we've finally started our trip, and grateful for all of our fans and sponsors who are supporting us.
We'll be driving our bikes from Jakarta to Sabang, but we plan to be in Sumatra for up to 6 months, exploring as much of the island as we possibly can.
This is part one of our journey, driving our bikes from Jakarta to Bandar Lampung.

I live on Batam and few months ago spent two weeks riding central/west Sumatra (lake Toba was the turn around point). It really was an epic ride, we were on crfs 150s, the 230 will be a weapon there. We experienced all roads, from empty, wining perfect surface to truck filled "death road" (which in itself was an adventure). By the time you get around lake Toba, plan on doing 30 to 35 km of distance traveled, we rode pretty "hard" but this is what we end up covering on average.

mart for whatever reason they do not exist around the Toba area.

My last visit was 10 years ago. Sure I miss all Indonesian food especially the Padang one. Even I can cook some of Padang food but it’s not as good as the one back home 😅

If you want to visit West Sumatra (Sumatra Barat) please be careful on the road named Sitinjau Lauik, the road is known for many accidents that always happen, and can be very dangerous during rainy day. For advise, keep your distance when you see longer or heavier vehicle in that road, extreme caution as always.

It's been more than a decade that i visited Lampung. It's funny that when i was younger I'm able to travel a lot, and as an adult, traveling is a rare occasion. I really miss those times on Lampung, had a great trip and bunch of stories.
