- Converted from an old free-flight model to radio control it was time to see how she would fair, the wind had dropped just enough. The original 'Bogey' was from 1949, you can download your own plans from Outerzone outerzone.co.uk/plan_details..... I think you may be able to detect how relaxed my voice sounds at the end of the video, she sure was a calming bird!
Captivating. And to get it out of the sky using “full down elevator “ was priceless! Thanks for sharing, Cliff.
Hi Angus, I think I'm going to need more elevator throw if I get into any serious lift 🤔👍
Even the fast fly-bys were slow! Really graceful looking. It didn't want to land I guess. What a fantastic maiden!
Any sort of wind and I'll be in trouble 😁👍
Nice job! perfect conditions too. A beautiful flight with a beautiful model. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it Andrew, I certainly did 👍🙂
That flew even better than I anticipated. Well done cliff that was amazing!
Me too Oliver, a pleasant surprise indeed 👍🙂
I recently built a "Leprechaun" from an Outerzone plan ; converted it to 3ch. and fitted a motor and folding prop. Flys much like your "Dream Bogey".
Hi Mike, the Leprechaun certainly was a floater and well worth converting that's for sure, thanks for watching 👍🙂
You have a winner there Cliff...well done
Thanks Stepheny 👍
Great job Cliff. I love those slow flyers.
You and me both David, they make a very nice change, you just can't rush them even if you wanted to 🤔👍
Wow cliff ,what a floater...almost as it was indoors..sweeeetttt❤
Hi Ron, I think if there had been slightly more wind it would have just hung there in the sky indefinitely! 😁
Absolutely. So relaxing!
Very successful conversion for sure
I think so too Mike, a free flight model that comes back, I love it, cheers
Great flight Cliff, if only they were all that calm and gentle !
I'd probably lose her if I flew at your site, she'd pick up the slightest lift and be gone 🤔😁👍
That was majestic indeed Cliff!
You know as soon as you launch what to expect, it sure was a relaxing experience Adam 🙂👍
Great job on that one Cliff. Lovely aircraft.
Glad you enjoyed it Bob, I'm delighted to be honest 👍
Well done!
Cheers Dave 🙂
Very nice relaxed slow flier Cliff 😀👍
Makes a change Ian 👍
Brilliant! What an incredible amount of lift in those highly under cambered wings (yes, I have downloaded the plan from Outerzone and taken a good look!) A wonderful floater and bet you're well chuffed with this one. I'm sure you'll have many more adventures with this one!
Thanks Marc, if you ever want to come over and have a look at mine your most welcome, cheers 👍🙂
Xtremely relaxing🤠👍🛩️
Glad you enjoyed it Wouter 🙂👍
Great Job Cliff!
Thanks Kevin, she's waited for the perfect day with patience 👍😁
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Nah, she waited for the perfect architect to build her and pick the perfect day to fly!
Thanks
A dream flyer for sure.
You could fall asleep flying this one Doyle 😁👍
A true pylon racer!
😁👍 Absolutely
Cliff what a fantastic conversion of a great plane. Guess those "old" plane designers with their Slide rulers might have been doing OK. Jeff in LA USA
HicHeff, just don't try it in the wind! 😁👍
Sehr schöner kleiner flieger👍😎
Thanks Rolf 👍
Now that is a thing of beauty 😍
Hi Bob, yes, isn't it amazing how planes take on a completely different persona once they're in the air 🤔👍
So Nostalgic. A folding prop might be a nice addition?
@@bobi2582 I'll have to look into a small one Bob, definately improve the glide!
Very Nice
Thanks 🙂
I think the term Majestic applies to this bird!
Absolutely Len 👍
Cliff, .. I want your weather!
I'll package some up for you no problem, how much would you like 🤔😁
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Weeell .. usually people get discounts, on the 1st purchase, of anything .. and, then later .. when you've set the hook .. ? .. you know how this works ..
Very NIIIIICE 👌🏻
Thank you Eric! Cheers!
You could almost fly her indoors 😊.
Wait till you start hitting those thermals
I reckon you could Mark, the thermals scare me with this bird, perhaps some sort of tracker would be a good idea 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes or an rc dethermaliser now that would make a nice video Cliff
That was so nice, Cliff. It was, as you said, fantastic. Gliders are starting to interest me. Did you only use the prop for take-off, maybe once for lift, and then landing?
Thanks Robert, electric gliders give you so much airtime on one battery and are generally so relaxing to fly there's nothing to dislike. Yes, you're right, motor on to climb to height then see if you can find some lift to keep you up without motor on again. Landings are a combination of motor and/or air brakes but this model doesn't have brakes so it's a bit more of a challenge, but that's all part of the fun ... with a motor you just go around and try again, cheers 👍
