The Roland MC-505 is a monster drum machine released in 1998 as a combination of a MIDI controller, a music sequencer, a drum machine, and a desktop synthesizer with many synthesis features: arpeggiator, oscillators, and voltage-controlled filter, control of attack, decay, sustain and release, different envelopes and 2 Lfo. It was released as the successor to the Roland MC-303 - which created the Groovebox market. There is a full JX-308, and a JV-1080 on the board.
The 262 page manual was difficult and incomplete. This video manual was a 3rd party mail order VHS produced by Pegasus Multimedia featuring Tonee McGuire - Roland Product Specialist and Grovebox Product Evangelist. It's a quick dive and tutorial into many of MC-505's features and work flow.
