Oh man, this one is _really_ nice. I know it may not be the first thing on most peoples' minds, but that small mention of God in the second verse does so much better than a lot of worship music I've listened to as a Christian at conveying what it needs to. Really nice message here. Also hope you're ok overall, I know music like this can be quite literal for some people. Take care of yourself

I didn’t want to listen to this song at first bc I knew this one would hurt just by the title, then I listened, and every word stabbed me so hard. I miss everything about him. He was the best friend I ever had. “If I knew the things you would do, the scars you would leave, the trust I would lose, would I run away?” The truth is I wouldn’t bc I’d go thru all that again just to have him back. I was an entirely different person when I had him in my life and now I’m just hollow, making it day to day. That hit home big time, it just made me remember all the times we had, and she suddenly ended all that out of the blue... Thank you for producing another masterpiece!
My grandparents had a summer cottage near a big lake in Canada, so big we couldn’t see the other side of it. That lake is where I spent most of my childhood summers. My best memory is a sunset with the waves hitting in a regular beat the sand what a sweet sweet night it was 😢
