Yep, never once heard him condemn his ex manager Malcolm McLaren for his blatant and well publicised paedophilia, including publishing an actual smut magazine for nonces and exploiting a 15 year old female singer, all not very long after the Sex Pistols.
Seems Johnny only condemns this sort of thing when it's trendy and topical. The BBC didn't ban him either, there's loads of footage of him on Jukebox Jury and ToTP with PiL in the years following 1978. He's always been a massive bullshitter and attention seeker.
Read Jah Wobble's autobiography for a good insight into how much of a shithouse Johnny Rotten is/was.

For exactly the same reason why the BBC banned Johnny Rotten from naming Saville all those many years ago.
Legal reasons. Worried about being sued for slander. Not wanting to "displease" certain powerful people who can shut them down, and make sure they never work again.
It hasn't stopped. The same self-interest that kept people from acting on the "rumours" about Saville remains firmly in place. Whoever these "others" are, no-one wants to be the accuser - for the consequences of what happens to your own life, if you wrongly accuse (or, quite frankly, even when you rightfully accuse). So this builds this "wall of silence" behind which people like Saville operate, and they continue to do so.
Piers - and his media darlings - want you to take interviews like this as if they're some kind of "truth and reconciliation" to an ugly past that's now gone. To morally virtue signal their awesomeness, as they like to periodically do with a regular "moral panic" from their newspaper columns.
But Rotten is letting us know - putting "the others" out there and no-one's asking for names - that it's all still happening, and the media is still erecting that "wall of silence" to protect these people. It hasn't stopped. Nothing has really changed. The broken system - everyone's collective self-interest - still implicitly ends up protecting these people.

@@MrSniperfox29 Sorry to break it to you, hun', but that's not how it works in the real world.
Saville had a ridiculous number of well-placed, highly important people protecting his rep and shielding every disgusting move he made from the pubic eye - Saville openly bragged about that in many interviews he did (check out his last one with Louis Theroux, for example.) Johnny could've screamed the truth from the rooftops, through a high-powered megaphone, in the middle of Piccadilly Circus, and not only would he have been in serious legal trouble but enough of Saville's goons would've banded to together to permanently ruin his life, professionally and personally. And then you know what else would've happened? Because of the hatchet job done on Johnny to silence him, that would've a) made it ten times more difficult for anyone else to have the courage to make accusations against Saville, and b) Saville would've had even MORE power to abuse kids and women, because now he could silence them with "See, Johnny Rotten tried to expose me, and look what happened to HIM, so it's pointless YOU telling anyone what I'm doing to you, because no-one will believe you if they didn't believe him, a famous punk star."
One lone voice like Johnny's would never have been enough to take Saville down; it needed an army of voices, all speaking the same thing together. Johnny knew that, which makes him pretty damn brave for even trying - but as soon as he was met with a wall of silence from everyone else who COULD'VE backed him up and stood with him (but chose not to,) he knew he had no chance of being taken seriously. You can't ask one soldier to win a war singlehandedly, and you definitely have no right to condemn him for failing to do so.

Exactly and how convenient the documents disappeared that was part of investigation of UK Parliament members. The establishment are so guilty. Explains many things and how policians are so corrupt because these people (are they really people?) are dirty and controllable. It runs deep, far and wide on a global scale. I am sure they traffick people as well, they with intelligence services are behind this. They used to and probably still are responsible for global drug trade as we know Afghanistan helped with that also. Reported recently in UK media how an MI6 officer was not prosecuted for being a paedophile. It is most likely very institutionalised standard behaviour and how the globalists control their assets they implant in power. Of course those people that investigated this thoroughly many decades ago were dismissed and labelled conspiracy theorists and some wrongly imprisoned to silence them. There are hundreds of now proven fact conspiracy theories and yet the media and people simply don't care. The media is there to form, shape and control the narrative that influences people's thinking process, to maintain the status quo, but things are getting worse and the elites are desperate to maintain and expand consolidated powers. They won't let us leave the EU if they can help it. Trust none of them.

Best quote I ever heard was from this man, "I'm not here for your entertainment, you are here for mine".

Utter respect.I was a wannabe punk in Glasgow and worshipped the Sex Pistols . You are a highly articulate man who has been hideously misunderstood. You had JS sussed from day one X

Ignore the click bait. Lydon wasn't banned by the BBC. He appeared after the Saville interview several times on Top of the Pops, Old Grey Whistle Test, Juke Box Jury, did several interviews on BBC Radio 1, recently appeared in a Sex Pistols Christmas special etc, etc etc.
