Love your song! Remember picking dandelion greens for salad, usually mixed with spinach or cabbage. Aunt Marge called it "end of the month vitamins". Grandpa gave lessons on the best places and leaves to pick, always involving holding the yellow flower under your chin for the :butter cup rhyme/ game. We always came home with yellow chins :)

I think I'll stop thinking of dandelions as "just a weed"! I'm adding dandelion lemonade to my favorite summer drinks to have ready in the fridge for when I have to mow my property. I make switchel, and I also make "virgin mojitos" with seltzer water, muddled spearmint from my garden, and sweetened lime juice.

All the times my Mom and I picked the dandelions from her lawn we never knew they were edible. I have since learned there are health benefits from dandelions. The song is cute. I am now singing it to my cats. 😂

I forgot I had some dandelion flowers and leaves dried in a jar. Maybe I can use them too? I washed them with water and bit of vinegar to get rid of the bugs, and rinse them and let them dry in the sun ☀

I know dandelions so good for you but I just can’t. I’m so ocd on germs etc. All I ever remember is seeing dogs urinate on dandelions. I can’t get past the image to use dandelions. Which I know are just fine if you grew them specifically to ingest and know they are clean lol. It’s just me❤
