Crispy garlic is the best condiment, and I love using garlic oil for fried rice. I often make fried shallots as a topping for a Japanese curry. Thanks for the recipe, Siri!
I love adding garlic oil in my fried rice too. it smells great and tastes amazing.

Siri, this was great information. I grow lots of garlic in the garden because we love it and it's so easy! Now I have something new to try with it! I think I would eat that crispy garlic on almost everything! Many thanks!
Hey there Terry. I am jealous that you can grow it easily in the garden. Garlic is very seasonal here in Arizona. Once it gets too hot, nothing grows. I hope that you give this one a try, I bet that you would like it. I put it in everything, both as an ingredient and as a condiment.
Terry Lyle I'm jealous too! I just can't get garlic to grow where I live! I also would use this on pretty much anything 😂
maybe do a video of how to grow garlic cos i consume a lot of garlic raw & cooked.
Good video thank you
thanks for the video
I just love your recipes.......😍😍😍😍
Thanks so much for the wonderful comment. I am happy to hear that you enjoy the recipes. Have you made any of them yet?

Wow we really enjoyed learning about this great recipe! :-) Thank you so very much for sharing it! 😊👍
You're very welcome.
So clever!
Great recipe 😍😍😍😍
Thanks :-)
This is very useful! I live in Klamath Falls, Oregon with my boyfriend, and there's no Asian grocery store anywhere! So, we usually have to make a trip once in a while to Sacramento, California and it's a 5 hour drive! We spend a few hundred just to restock!
Oh, that is a long drive to find a decent Asian grocery store. But I am happy to hear that you make it anyway. I am feeling pretty lucky that I have a pretty good Asian grocery store just about 15 miles away from me. I have never been to Oregon, but my husband says he wants to retire there. The pictures look beautiful.
Very good recipe🥰
Thanks a lot
Somehow I’ve missed seeing a garlic oil video. Easy prep. Thank you. Economical and I suppose the idea could be transferred to making other oils. Time to get busy!
Yes, get busy hahhaa! Glad you like it :-)
Sawaadeekrap, Thank you and i love Garlic crispy.

Great video! Thank you! I just subscribed.
Thank you so much.
Always welcome
Very nice. I'm sure that oil had some serious flavor
Oh yeah, lots of wonderful flavor in that oil.
Wow i love garlic i make this recipe with thai garlic hmmmm very good 😋😋😋😋
👍😊
Thanks for the video! This method is better because the other videos chopped their garlic too small.
Thank you so much, now I can do that on the right way :-) last time I've burned them
Thank God for Thai moms!
Your video titled " Crispy Garlic and Garlic Oil - Episode 169 " is a very interesting video !!
I am really amazed
That is very nice video!!
I like it and I give my hard support++++
thank you.
Interesting... and very efficient. And that is one sweet knife! If your hands end up smelling too much like garlic, just scrub them with salt and a bit of water... ;)
Thanks Paul, for the solution to "garlic hands". I will give that a try next time.
I had a job in a kitchen and sometimes had to cut a lot of onions ---it was the best way to get rid of that smell... ;)
To remove garlic smell from hands, rub your wet hands on your stainless steel sink and wash your hands with soap.
looks tasty! i'm gonna try this one and i like your "mortar and pestle" technique!!
but I got a little confused (lol), cuz for me that's not a cup. It's a quart though
thanks for the video!
Thanks so much my friend.
We love garlic and I'm going to make this. How long does the crispy garlic last?
Hey there Cricket. I know the feeling, we love garlic too. The crispy garlic will last about 3-weeks :-)
How to store and how long it last? Planning to do so 🙏
I would eat it like the camera man too!
Heck yea (reply from Cameraman).
You always make me HUNGRY now I want some rice🍚 garlic fried rice with eggs
Oh yes... rice, garlic, and fried egg... with a few drops of Maggi on top. I love it!
What can I use the crispy garlic for? Thank you
HI!!! could you please tell me where you got your mortar and pestle? Thank you xo
do you store the garlic oil in the fridge or how long can you store it at room temperature before it may become rancid?
amazing, Thumbs up! Wish u have a great day:) Love Hanna and Mia
Thanks.
How to make crunchy chili garlic?
can we use corn oil?
Sawadee kha 🙏 loved your video!!! Would like to know for how long we can keep the garlic oil at room temperature?!
Khob khun kha 🙏
No idea. We always eat it faster than it takes to go bad. But I can say, at least several weeks.
@@SpoonForkHeart 5555555 I get you 😁👍
Hey dear, how many day can consume
shelf life of both tosted and garlic oil?
How long does the garlic stay crispy? I have to cook garlic everyda coz mine eould get soggy or soft only after a few hours :/
oreo galic.. hmm.. sounds choco..
Another good video! Can you tell mhow long the garlic oil was last and does it need to be kept in the fridge? This is all part of my great Noodle soup adventure LOL!
It will last for a month in an airtight container and in room temp.
If you keep it in fridge it would be longer for about 3 months.
(all the above is possible if only you properly cooled the fried garlic first before storing)
@@TheMusicfied Thanks !! Made some yesterday !
May I know the use of garlic cripsy and garlic oil mdm?
Why does the garlic get soft when I fry them. I leave them to cool down but still they get soft. Any suggestions?
I am not sure, but I would guess because there is still a lot of moisture inside. Maybe try cooking on lower heat for longer time. I hope that helps.
Is cooking at a low temperature the main solution that won't make crispy garlic bitter?
Hi, I would love some feedback. I fried my garlic in low heat, and it was bubbling, but it never became “crispy”, only soggy. Also it took longer than 6 minutes for it to go brown. Is it because my garlic isn’t fresh?
Hello, sorry to hear that it didn't come out right. Just out of curiosity, did you use a vegetable cooking oil, or did you use something else like coconut oil or avocado oil? I don't think it would make a difference, but it might. Also, the freshness of your garlic could make a difference. I wish I was there to watch and give you real life feedback because it's hard to know exactly what went wrong.
Thanks for your reply! Yes I used vegetable oil. That’s ok, I’ll just have to try again! The oil itself is still lovely.
Hi once you separate the garlic put it into 2 metal Bowl shake it till you can't shake no more turn on some music started dancing shake shake and all the skin will come off automatically
Thanks for the wonderful tip Tracey. I am going to give that a try for sure.
Can you grind these for garlic powder?
Interesting question. I have never tried that, but if you do it, let me know if it works.
Where do you get your stone blender
I found this one on Amazon. But you can also find them in most Asian grocery stores.
How long will the garlic oil last?
It will last a very long time, probably around a month.
Can the oil be reused to make another batch of these chips?
Sure :-)
Liquid Gold in that bottle.
can i use palm oil or olive oil?
Yes you can
oh you = oil
ฉันสามารถใช้น้ำมันอะโวคาโดได้หรือไม่?
You can use avocado oil, but the flavor profile might be a little different.
Thanks! I love fried garlic. My mama makes it like this but I wonder what it would be like with avocado. Love your channel!
