Would you consider making a version of this for LARPers of color? I have a hard time making browns show up on my skin in that way when I do freckles so I end up looking kind of dirty?
Raquel Skellington understood! I’d be happy to! Let me check around and see if I can find a model ☺️ I suspect that it’s just an issue of mixing/finding the right color. Going towards a more dark blueish/Black Brown. But I’ll do some research. ☺️
As I suspected! Freckles on dark skin tend to take a much cooler tone- almost dark grey. I'll ask some friends if they'd be willing to model for me :)

I think it's funny how much people want freckles and they never look fully real when they try to make some unless they've done it multiple times while knowing someone with lots of freckles like me. Not gonna lie having natural freckles is amazing for a couple reasons, 1. super unique, 2. they hide blemishes, scars, and acne on your face. 3. People always want them and think they are very attractive. One thing you might not know about freckles is because they kinda appear because of sun exposure they actually become bigger and darker in lots of sun. Keep that in mind if you are creating a character with freckles because if you will be spending a lot of time outside make larger and darker little specks. Just a couple of advice things from someone born with freckles. :)
So, when I saw your character practice makeup on Twitter I was going to ask you to do a tutorial on the freckles, but decided not to... Then you magically post this! Exactly what I wanted! Thanks Magical Glitter Fairy :)

Thank you so much for making this. I'm naturally freckly, but because I'm part cave fish and hate being in the sun, they get covered up with concealer/foundation so being able to put a few back convincingly while masquerading as a humanoid makes my fish heart happy.
Uuuh, thank you so much for the tutorial! I used eyebrow pencils so far but this is the perfect way to get rid of all the eyeshadow that I don't use. :D
Hedgefairy I started out using the eyebrow pencil too! This way will make you much happier I promise 😂

haha I just got my two on set skin illustrator palettes in for this very purpose! Nice to see a tutorial on the freckles :3 I love my freckled characters. That and my halfling Lil is most likely going to get her ear ripped off and taken as an orc trophy next game day.. so I'm prepping bandages and a bloodied ear prosthetic once my actual ear prosthetic is taken :D IT'S GOING TO BE SO FUN

would the eye shadow and mehron mixing liquid work for scars? and how easy is it to get off with make up remover or baby wipes? my characters scar likes to move when his asleep, so when he wakes up in the morning its in a different place. so I need to be able to take it off at the end of the day and reapply the next morning.
Do you think this technique could work for more magical freckles? Like golden freckles on a fairy character?
