It was more logical for Luna to marry a Magizoologist, none other than the greatest Magizoologist of all time's grandson.
Queenie is is an awful character in my opinion. I can never take her seriously because her character just seems like it’s meant to be a joke and also she’s so annoying especially when she’s around Jacob. I hate the fact that everyone straight up ignores the fact that she literally enchanted Jacob to force love upon him and then acted like she did nothing wrong by making up terrible excuses. I love Fantastic Beasts but she makes some scenes unbearable to watch.

The thing I love about how J. K. Rowling wrote Newt is that she wrote him as a hufflepuff. Almost every main character is a Gryffindor but Newt is a Kind-hearted hufflepuff.
Hufflepuff was literally the most under-rated house during the harry potter franchise :(

He does have flaws, the reason his flaws are less noticeable than the golden trio's might be because his flaws are harmless?

I love newt, my older brother got bullied a lot for being "weird" and he got teased for caring for our planet and protecting animals. He relates to newt a lot cause he never really fitted or had many friends, he was actually very kind and coincidentally even he had autism and he often got left out. He tried his best to be kind to everyone and was very respectful to everyone. I found him annoying and I didn't really understand his autism, I feel really bad for feeling that way and I realized how much he's like newt. I hope he's happily resting in the heaven

I don't think that Neville should be categorized as a 'Traditional Hero', he's not like that. If anything; Neville doesn't seek glory either. Newt and Neville are very, very similar and Neville would've been a Hufflepuff if he hadn't asked The Sorting Hat to put him there (according to the theory that is).

Yes, I really love his character, his unfailing kindness and empathy. It is the kind of hero a world recovering from one horrible war, and on the brink of another, really needed.
Perhaps Newt is a mature outlook on the trio. The flaws that are outwardly shown by the trio are usually a result of immaturity, whereas Newt, as an adult, is far more mature. Additionally, Newt might have a less arrogant attitude due to being expelled from Hogwarts, hence, he’s a very humble person, like Hagrid, because they appreciate the opportunities they get in life.

Seeing Newt makes me want to cry. His personality couldn't exude more hufflepuff traits. He's soft, down-to- earth, very loveable and loyal. He makes me smile everytime.

Newt is the perfect hero for this new series. He is personable, brave, and intelligent, and a man with a deep compassion for creatures that others regard as lesser. He shows us that ALL creatures great and small have an important place in this world and deserve respect and kindness from others. Humans aren't the only creatures on this planet, ALL life regardless of appearance deserve respect and love.
Rowling should start writing novels on Newt because he is such a great hero.
I agree! The films have limited time to explain things. Just like the Harry Potter books have fantastic details the films can't cover, books about Newt would give us those added details and help us to understand Newt even more.

I agree. She should have wrote books about Newt first and then adapted it for the movies, not the other way around. Newt would have been great as a book character, better even than just a movie/play character. I would have loved those books. I wish she would have done that. Why didn't she do that? It was the same with the Cursed Child. I think it would have been so much better as a book, but she insisted on it being a play instead. What is up with that? Was she just tired of writing her characters into books, so she went the route that involves less writing. Makes sense I guess. She wrote 7 books that were over 300 pages. That's a lot of writing. Still sucks though that these characters weren't given more fledged out stories. I would have liked to know more about there lives and thoughts, etc.
I'd just like to say that Newt is also a perfect representation of at least some forms of Autism. Aside from being a great character it makes me really happy that he can represent people like myself in such a positive light.

Newt is easily one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter universe. I see a bit, if not a lot, of myself in him. Before I got more self confidence, I was pretty socially awkward, not being able to communicate my feelings properly, looking down towards my feet whenever talking to someone, only glancing up at them every so often
I love Newt! He is exactly what I think of when I hear the term “adorkable”! (If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s a word used to describe someone who is adorably nerdy). Eddie Redmayne does an amazing job and I couldn’t imagine anyone else in this role.

I mean that in the movies there are so many mysteries about how he grew up and his time in the factory, without talking to human beings for years. In the movie it looked like he was so used to being alone (talking to no one) sooooooo he had no one teaching him how to act in different situations so he was pretty childish (not that it’s bad). His life just seems so complicated and fun at the same time, something fun to think about. :)

No character, I repeat, no character, has ever made me feel the way I feel about newt Scamander, I love his character and eddie does such an amazing job with the character.
The book Harry is more similar to Newt than this video makes it sound - they're both very private. Harry doesn't seek glory. He has that one moment when he wants to land with the flying car so that the whole school sees him, but other than that - he hates the spotlight.
He rushes into action whenever possible, but he doesn't have any ulterior motive - he does what he thinks needs to be done.
That's what he's about - doing what needs to be done. Especially in the later books.
He has "a saving-people-thing", but that's not the same as seeking glory.

This.. Harry doesn't seek power for his own sake. Dumbledore tells Harry.. not an exact quote.. how few could look in the mirror of erised and see only their family when most would want power. Harry's life is not what he would have chosen, even if he's the chosen one, it's been thrust upon him.. to defeat evil. Just like Newt does not desire power, he only wants to protect and do the right thing.

It´s not his main reason, but there´s one sentence saying he and Ron are happily imagining how stunned everyone will be when they land right in front of the castle. I also forgot he imagines how great it would be to become a school champion in the Triwizard Tournament and how Cho Chang would admire him. But the books make it pretty clear that those are just fleeting moments of ambition (that every teenage boy has), not Harry´s mindset.

Newt Scamander is honestly my FAVORITE character out of all the Harry Potter series. He does not display toxic masculinity, and is unafraid to show his soft and sensitive side which most people will consider a sign of weakness among males. And it is his selflessness, empathy, strong sense of justice, and his ability to stay true to himself that makes him one of the most likable characters for me. He is so underrated and i wish Harry Potter fans would stop comparing Newt and the spin-off series to the original Harry Potter series, because they were meant to be different!!

i was pleasantly surprised to find this world even more interesting then that of harry potter. The adult side of the 'wizarding world' and how its intertwined with the muggle world. the US flipside even became more interesting. Thus far the films have been A grade. love the casting the acting and characters played.
