@Yanjun Sun of course
He fell in love with a toxic and manipulative person. It’s an important message that regardless of orientation, we can all make that mistake.
Or that love actually is seriously overated
Hannah Dyson yours sounds better
Yea but he's cute
I'm honestly Dumbledore once. (No, I didn't possibly kill my sister, and no, the person I shall talk about is not the same gender as me.) In 5th grade I fell in love with my best friend. (You'd say it was a crush, but for me, it was love.) He said he liked me back. (He didnt.) But as the months grew, he became toxic, and made fun of me. I ended up making a desision I don't regret. I ended the 'relationship' (Rest In Peices, Bryan, our ship name) and our friendship. We are not on bad terms but are not friends in 6th grade. I am very proud of myself for doing something that at the time, seemed wrong, but ended up making both of us happier. I am very happy now, I have very good friends and am getting mentally better from all the bullying elementary school gave me.
I agree. I dated someone like that. It was a gay relationship. He’d have me drive him places to steal things. Claiming he couldn’t work cause of an injury and he needed to care for his mother. But he was using me. Just like Dumbledore, all because he was charming and handsome, I blinded myself to what he was really doing because love makes you do crazy things.
This is what I hated about the movies, they portrayed Grindelwald as a villain who helped Voldemort get the elder wand when in fact the book clearly mentioned that he never told Voldie a thing and he even died for that.
Christopher Chuauhang in the Harry Potter books ? Cause if yess then I gotta go buy all the books now
@@bubba6823 yes, he refused to tell Voldemort where or who owned the elder wand and Voldemort killed him cause he got mad.
I don’t get it. How is it then that in the last minutes of the video Dumbledore was being told about the death of Grindelwald?
@@Amirs48 the movies completely changed everything that was in the books, so it's kinda ruining the story line.
The book says when Dumbledore and Grindelwald have their duel they don't kill each other (maybe because they still love each other). Dumbledore of course defeats Grindelwald and the Elder wand passes over to him. Grindelwald is put into his own prison he made called Nurmangard or something. He was in there for the rest of his life.
So in book 7 of HP, Grindelwald DID know who owned the Elder wand when Voldy goes to see him but in my opinion, his last act of love(?) for Dumbledore was to refuse to tell Voldy who owned it/where it was. Grindelwald told Voldy that he didn't deserve to be the owner of it because he doesn't understand as much as he thinks he does about it so he wasn't worthy of it. That's what makes Voldy mad and kills him.
Voldy does find out eventually on his own that Dumbledore owned it last and it was buried with him so then he goes to Dumbledore's grave and breaks it open to take it by force. but Grindelwald WAS right, he never mastered the Elder wand because he didn't understand how it worked so he couldn't defeat Harry with it.
Yes i hate it
Harry: After all this time?
Albus: Always.
Ohh I see what you did, you took snapes line and used it on Dumbledoor :D
YES! That's why he never mocked Snape for Lily, because he never got over Grindelwald himself and I bet he would never shut up about it with Fox and McGonagall

@@garyromero8352 wait what? Oh I mean- I’m not wrong? 😅
I think Dumbledores' background plays a big part in why he put so much trust in Snape. After all, he was a former death eater, not a lot of people would have greeted him with open arms back in Hogwarts. I like to think that Dumbledore, who had been on the wrong path himself, until a terrible loss changed him, saw a bit of himself in Severus.

And now we've seen 'The Crimes of Grindelwald' and we know that Dumbledore and Grindelwald swore to never fight each other and that they were as Dumbledore says 'closer than brothers' which proves that they probably were in a relationship
Yep, dumbledore was falling in love with grindelwald
Or Dumbledore just thought they were going to be in a relationship
As far as I know, it was one-sided: They were best friends and Dumbledore loved him. But Grindelwald didn't and perhaps took advantage of it, though I doubt they had an actual relationship.
@@akumayoxiruma probably not since they made that blood pact and Grindelwald kept it on him all this time. I believe he had it not just for safety in case dumbledore tried to stop him but also because he had some affection towards the man. His love wasnt as strong as dumbledore but it was still there
Imho it wasn't one-sided, for multiple reasons.
1) The film clearly shows that Grindelwald can't fight Dumbledore just like Dumbledore can't move against him, but why if Grindelwald could have just destroyed the blood pact?
2) If the blood pact was just a failsafe to protect himself against Dumbledore then surely it would have been smartest to keep it locked down and safe somewhere? Instead he keeps it on him at all times.
2.5) Actually, he even tends to wear it over his heart, hence how the niffler stole it.
3) Last but not least - he would rather die than to let Voldemort steal from Dumbledore's grave. Despite the fact that Voldemort kind of pushed the same ideas Grindelwald had.
And a bonus one that's purely my speculation - because Dumbledore never beat Grindelwald in that famous duel, he won because Grindelwald gave up. We know that in a fair duel, the Elder Wand always wins, that's the point. And in all of recorded history, there was only one exception to the rule - the Dumbledore/Grindelwald duel. What if it wasn't an exception, and Dumbledore never managed to beat Grindelwald through magic? What if at some point Dumbledore told Grindelwald to just kill him if he's so sure that what he's doing is right, and Grindelwald just can't do it, so when he's emotionally distraught and pretty much has given up, Dumbledore disarms and puts him to prison?
So, the school that encouraged Dark Arts, themselves, expelled Grindelwald for his Dark magic.
This tells a way lot about Gellert Grindelwald.
They didnt expelled him for using dark magic only but rather for using it on his classmates
Grindelwald fatal attacks on other students and deadly experiments 🧫 caused him to get kicked out 🔬
It wasn't easy being Dumbledore. He was cursed with one hell of a fate, being instrumental in the rise of two Dark Lords in a single century. When seen in this light, his actions make total sense. And there's a reason he's the only wizard Voldemort ever feared. Dumbledore is death personified, weaponized against evil and made triumphant. He understood it and embodied it fully, not as an ending but rather as a process of renewal. And I mean this in a good way, because death, in its absolute negation of selfhood, is the only instrument capable of striking the supreme and purest note of love.
Also, I think this was your best HP video yet.
You must be friends with Albus...you speak deep too
Fits in with the Phoenix motif for the Dumbledores
I don't understand why people are so surprised that Jude Law turned into Michael Gambon in only ten years. This is the same series where the hottie Tom Riddle turned into Voldemort.

They knew each other for 2 months before Ariana died and Grindelwald literally left the moment she died.
I feel like Grindelwald either used Albus down to the last bits before whatever caused Ariana's death, or Albus is a liiiiiittle bit exaggerating, considering at the time he said "oh we were closer than brothers" its been like what. 30 years at least since they last met or have spoken to each other?
They barely met, Albus developed a crush that Gellert likely tried to exploit, maybe developed some feelings himself, then Ariana died, Gellert ran. End of story.
P Crassen Watch the official DVD bonus video, the feelings were mutual and they had a romantic relationship. Weather she always intended to go that way or not, I don’t know
Dumbledore feeling disdain for muggles at a younger age would not have been so far fetched as it was the abusive act of muggles that made Ariana “ill” and put his father in “jail”. He lost more than half of his family because of that one act by muggles. So his resentment towards them and his youthfully rash behavior would’ve been enough to push him over to that belief. He found easily in Grindewald a kindred spirit that could’ve easily been felt as love. But as much as Dumbledore resented muggles, he was not a torturer and was not willing to go as far as Grindewald would’ve. That is the one true thing about Dumbledore.
But the movies Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 1 says something else. Grindlewald revealed Dumbledore's name to Voldemort and said the elder wand is buried with him. How can the book and movie differ over this?
I don't think he ever liked Muggles . The way he treats them doesn't make him much better than most wizards . Then again Arthur Weasley wasn't a saint .
@@hannahdyson5603 How exactly did Arthur Weasley and Dumbledore treat them badly?

Unknown Human ok thanks! And the only way to get rid of that potion I guess was for someone to drink it? Also what effect did that potion have on Dumbledore, because Snape killed him not the potion. Thanks again I forgot!

Unknown Human awesome thank you a lot! Makes sense now!
Can somebody make this a movie. NOT fantastic beasts, The Beginning Of Dumbledore :)

@@prima2398 My God... it would terrific indeed omg I want it to happen now!! Dx

So basically the whole Harry Potter series is because of Bathilda Bagshot...
Explain please?
@@Srinidhi00726 I'll do a quick Diagram.
Bathilda Bagshot takes guardianship of her nephew Gellert Grindelwald --> Realizes her Nephew is Lonely and bored and makes him meet the other bored and lonely boy next door --> Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald meet and collab on an idea that wizards are above muggles/No Mag's and agree that the statue of secrecy should be destroyed --> They accidentally fall in love and create a blood pact.
(This is actually really important because a bloodpact/bloodtroth (while funnily enough can stand for marriage, which may perhaps be a factor why it *was* a bloodpact and not an unbreakable vow) can be broken.)
While Grindelwald rises to power and becomes a household name he particularly inspires a young Tom Riddle, who Albus Dumbledore hastily welcomes him to Hogwarts opening him up to magic and information --> Grindelwald falls due to Albus Dumbledore defeating him leaving many parts of the world in shambles parting the way for Tom Riddle AKA Voldemort --> Voldemort rises to power.
And you probably know the rest lmao

I think Ariana died because of Dumbledore's spell or Grindelwald's spell reflecting off the other due to the power of the Blood Pact, and it reflected into Ariana.
Edit: New Theory/This one going into depth:
Ariana's story was that two muggle boys attacked her for using magic, and traumatized her. Her mother decided to lock her up in the basement, keeping her from the eye of general public. One when Ariana's mother came to visit her, Ariana had a magic overload and killed her. Abeforth became her guardian, seeing as Albus was quite reluctant to the idea. He was too busy planning for the rise of "the greater good". Some time after hearing his and Gellert's plans, Abeforth confronted them, breaking into a 3 way duel. In the wiki, it is said that Ariana tried to stop them. Here is my idea of the duel:
Abeforth/Gellert start it off. If it's Abeforth, it's to stop their plans. If it was Gellert, it's to get rid of the problems in the way. I think at first, Albus took Grindelwald's side, but not shooting to kill- rather to disarm or bring him out of conciousness. Albus then heard Grindelwald attacking his brother with spells of the lethal kind, and decided to distract Gellert by facing him off. This is when Ariana comes in and tries to talk sense into the boys. Gellert becomes tierd of her babbling, and throws her aside with the spell. Albus can stand almost anything, except for someone hurting his family. He, anger in eyes, casts a spell at Grindelwald. One that CAN kill, but has a respectable chance not to (not Avada Kedavra, basically). Grindelwald throws the spell aside with a flick, or the blood pact reflects it, and the spell hits Ariana.
Ariana was an Obscurial. Her supressing magic had to bring this parasite into her. Parasites, just as viruses or any host-reliant organism doesn't want their host to die. They need to feed off it, home in it, and strive. It'll be difficult for the Obsurus to find another host than Ariana, because Wizards/Witches supressing their magic aren't a very common find. In theory, The Obscurus would try to protect itself from the spell cast by Dumbledore, perhaps having to sacrifice Ariana and her last strengths to keep itself alive. Gellert, recognizing the danger of the thing exploding out of Ariana's body (we know she was buried, so her body had to be somewhat in tact), ran. He knew Dumbledore was no longer an ally of his, and needed to go.
Great point!
Sofia StarWolfie 😵😮 And this is why he always felt the guilt! His love for Grindelwald killed her. Lita Lestrange asks him if he loved his sister. He replied with “Not as much as I should have.” Possibly because he put his love for Grindelwald over his love for Ariana.
Plot twist: she may have accidentally killed herself! She went from surpressing her skills to trying to be pro, so if anyone was gonna muck it up, it would be her. Maybe she killed herself, it's kinda similar to the way Luna's mother also accidentally killed herself with magic. If someone who's an adult and practised magic mucked it up, then it would be easy for someone not trained. I highly doubt the pros in that fight, and let's face it all 3 were, did it by accident. I also hate how much it depressed Albus when his sister literally had NO life and was in constant misery. It should have been a big relief that she was no longer suffering and in a better place with her mother. Gridelwald sucks for abandoning Albus just as he was free to do what he wanted to do for the first time, and for not helping him get over the accident, he sounds like a complete sociopath tbh who didn't care for anyone's feelings but his own.
Thats a nice theory! Man I wanna know more about the bloodpact
Sofia StarWolfie I think the blood pact was made after she died
The last minute made me cry... Now Grindelwald is one of my favorite characters from the Harry Potter universe...
Some people think that dumbledore’s love for grinderwald faded after he became “evil” but I think that he always loved grindelwald just hid it as he got older.
I think Grindelwald had feelings for Dumbeldore too if not more .During their duel Grindelwald had the s strongest wand ever existed but yet he lost which kinda doesn't make sense considering his ability as well as power from the wand. I think he gave up intentionally either because of Dumbeldore himself or the guilt he felt because of death of Dumbeldore's sister.

Dumbledore ain't gay
@@CaptAwesumNo1Zone your not the author so what you say doesnt mstter lmao
I mean I figired out he was Gay when I was 9. I had asked my parents what Gay people were exactly and after a bit of analysis over some characters, I came to the conclusion that Dumbledore at least presented some Gay Stereotype. Looking back that didn't apply to only Gay people but when Rowling confirmed he was Gay, I wasn't surprised at all.
Lets just say Dumbledore and Grindelwald dueled with their wands many times ;)
Sigh

Flick and swish
Jk Rowling would be so pleased with u right now lol
@Rwaggy Rwuper Rwinstincts I wheezed- hahahahhahahaa
I kinda have a feeling that maybe no one killed Ariana....because (most likely) shes an obscurus (or however you spell it 😆) and Newt did say that the reason obscuruses don't live long is because they can't handle and control their power. I have a feeling during the fight Ariana was stressed and lost control of herself and the power just destroyed her....eh i don't know I'm just guessing...
That makes sense actually since they never really disclose what happened to her just her brothers
I only wonder what is it that those boys did to her that hurt her so deeply that it drove her to hate herself so much that she basically neglected that part of herself until it killed her, it makes me sad to even imagine what it might have been, I really feel like jk had to give us some disclosure on what happened to Ariana
It’s definitely a possibility!!
Maybe yes, maybe not. Any other way, the guilt ate them up.

I would love to say, that J. K Rowling also said, in the cursed Child, that Dumbledore's portrait in Harry's office said that love blinded him.
Who needs to read anything when we have an amazing storyteller here on youtube!
I think you should write your own original story and present them in the same style as you did with these Harry Potter videos. Now that's something new! Maybe you can collaborate with artists from deviantart or something to illustrate your work.
Just some crazy idea of mine :)
Reading it is a lot better. If you don't feel you have the time for that, I strongly suggest the audio books narrated by Stephen Fry.
His performance is mindblowing.

One of the early drafts of the script for the Half blood prince there was a line where Dumbledore recalled to Harry about a girl that he once liked in his youth. During the table read JK Rowling scribbled out the line and wrote at the side of it Dumbledore is gay and passed the script back to the writer. JK Rowling knew from very early on that Dumbledore was gay.
Yeah! I don't know why people turn on Jo without knowing the facts.
It would've made the half blood prince even worse
yeah. it *may* have been a fact revealed by rowling [who i do not stan anymore] for the representation she didn’t give properly in her books or whatever, but even whilst reading the deathly hallows, and reading about their ‘close relationship’, i just knew that there was something more than friendship. their ‘close friendship’ just had the inclinations of a relationship to me, as a deep observer. and that was before i even knew that rowling revealed that dumbledore was gay. it’s very subtle, in my opinion, and definitely not enough to show that he’s gay but i think rowling did know that dumbledore is gay when she first wrote their relationship. rowling isn’t the best person [not with her transphobia, nope] but she’s a brilliant writer. she has the endings of her stories planned beforehand and it’s clearly depicted throughout the franchise. like her or not, there is no denying that she is extremely talented in writing and is gifted with a clever story making mind so there is a huge possibility she didn’t tell dumbledore’s gay during the series but rather after.
Wow, i didn't know that
You can’t blame dumbledore for loving Grindelwald ❤️
I really love the Grindelwald and Dumbledore love story, so full of tragedy and heartache
They’re like Romeo and Juliet 🔥
from what i can see some people believe that Dumbledore is being used by Grindelwald but I believe that Grindelwald actually loved Dumbledore :)
Part of the reason he probably was was ok with grindewalds plan was because his father was sent to prison for the rest of his life, mother was killed and sister was deeply Traumatize due to the actions of Muggles. Especially since it happened so close to when his mother died and the reasons for him not being able to reach his full potential
Actually he dont, he cant fight with grindelwald because they made a promise not to fight with their own blood
TheGeneral Zhukov I don’t remember when they made this promise but Grindewald ended up fighting with Dumbledore’s brother. And I’m sure he fought other pure bloods in his fight to take over so I doubt the promise stopped him
@@OkYouAreAmazing no I mean when they made the promise the used their blood and it become like the unbreakeble promise, in the movie dumbledore ask newt to get the blood so he can destroy it so he can fight grindelwald
TheGeneral Zhukov but isn’t that a new movie reveal?
He was a horrid person ( Albus)
Dumbledore, for me at least, is the most interesting character in the "Harry Potter" series. And his relationship with Grindelwald has always been interesting to me. I hope the next "Fantastic Beasts" movies do it justice.
I will scream out loud if I see Dumbeldore VS Grindelwald's fight in the trailer of Fantastic Beast 2"
It would be cool to see the fight, but I would suspect that'll be for the very last movie. So I think we're in for quite a long wait, haha.
Dumbledore is such a strong, mysterious person that fails to disappoint. I wish I knew him
J yes Snape is the most complex, I agree although Dumbledore is in the top 5 complex and interesting characters for me
I'd say the most interesting, complex and fascinating character is Lord Voldemort.
Dumbledore will *always* (get it?) and forever be one of my favorite characters. One of my favorite scenes between Harry and him takes place at The Mirror of Erised. Fans have a lot of speculation over what Dumbledore saw, but most of us have concluded that he saw himself reunited with his family - however, I’ve always thought there was something a bit more to it. I remember him saying he saw a nice, warm pair of socks. I know Dumbledore’s not a house-elf, but what do socks represent to a certain species (cough, Dobby)? What was Dumbledore’s biggest regret? (Cough, Ariana).
*I think Dumbledore wanted to be free of his guilt for what happened with his sister.*
Is it just me or that when dumbledore was young he looked like timothée chalamet?
Once you see it!
Why don't we get a movie about Dumbledore and his family and Grindelwald no seriously I would love to see that movie....I would love to see his back story who else agrees
I really, really want a story on Voldemort, his rise to power and detail of his years at Hogwarts and after, they can end it when he does the killing curse on Harry. Then again I wouldn't mind seeing a movie on Voldemort's point of view during the Harry years too.
Yeh! Voldemort's life, and Lucius, Bellatrix, Snape, and the Marauders at Hogwarts!!
Duh... fantastic beasts 2
Broke back mountain
Yeah same and also a book all about the time when the marauders where in Hogwarts
The Tragic Love Story.
Now I can't wait even more to see their confrontation in The Crimes of Grindelwald!!!
Sour Wolf it also takes place after their friendship. You will see subtle hints and allusions to it but nothing significant. Rowling is the producer of these films, they will come out how she wants them.
It comes out on my birthday and I’m sooooo excited😂😂😫😅
They won't have a confrontation in CoG, because they don't meet until 1945, which will happen in the 5th film
A weird version of Romeo and Juliet
It's won't be the focus of the film series. It's mainly going to be about Newt and Team Newt. They're going to reference it, which is why he said to Newt in the trailer: "I can't move against Grindelwald". That's a direct reference to the duel that cost Ariana her life.
I think the reason Dumbledore refused to face him is not only he fears the truth of Ariana's death
But deep down, Dumbledore still had feelings for him
Of course he still has feelings 💙 for his best friend
Others : it's grindleward 😨
Me : it's johnny depp 🤩
Now it's Mads Mikkelsen

Jackie, I agree. I can't get enough of HP fan video's, and this channel (which I also just discovered) looks really good.
Couldnt agree more! Seen 3 videos so far and they are all amazing! Even having read all the books, it 's still awesome to see things in a chronological order.
Hell yes, this was brilliant. So much back round info really helps you feel like part of the universe.
Yup, I just did too
Honestly I think why some have trouble believing he was gay all along was because generally gay characters are characterized as that guy whose entire identity consists of being gay. It's really turned some people off, especially as sitcoms start adding more and more of this stereotype pushing the normality. Dumbledore was refreshing to me. It wasn't his identity. He was just a guy, just happened to be gay. Anyway, great video! I love these :)
hatchettwit I agree with your assessment. Plus, as you said when a character is gay there's only one characterization: flamboyant, pink wearing, and all the other stereotypes we see portrayed in the media and yet depending on where you are from. The portrayal can be very different. I enjoyed the fact that Dumbledore was treated as you said a person who happened to be gay. Being gay wasn't his entire identity.
I agree when I read that Rowling said dumbledore was gay it didn’t change my opinion or feelings of dumbledore I thought it was just another interesting fact I didn’t know about him. Just because I didn’t see him that way didn’t shock me because we don’t really know a lot about dumbledores past and upbringing apart from the few details we learn in the later HP books. Rowling’s response was brilliant because gay people just look like everyone else and are not and shouldn’t be stereotyped
I agree completely, but she also displayed him a little bit as a stereotype(maybe to hint at us, before officially announcing it) - he wore colourful robes, he was especially kind to people, well mannered and following etiquette. People shouldn't be bothered with powerful people being gay or bi - Julius Caesar, Alexander The Great, Hadrian, several English kings, several German kings etc.
hatchettwit I just found out that my female-friend for quite a while likes girls. She was talking about what one girl said about the LGBTQ+ community, that they were just faking it for attention, and she added, “So I’m just faking it?” Little bit of a shock, but your comment sums it up. People don’t go around usually announcing to the world, “I am a girl who likes girls!” Or, “I am a boy who likes boys!” This comment is true.
I personally think of it THIS way. Gay-the stereotype flamboyant so on types. Homosexual-just like any other guy, except they just so happen to like GUYS sexually, instead of women. And if you just fall for one person and never have the same feelings of any other person, male or female, I don't think it should have a classification like this. I mean is there ANY mention of Dumbledore having these feelings for anyone else? No, so it shouldn't be classed as 'gay'.
You have good theories and some of them were right
But Dumbledore before losing Arianna was arrogant. Seeking power and glory, as he wanted before his mother’s death, feeling his family held him back from achieving his full potential
Meeting Grindelwald was liberation for him, he fell for him as he was not only a kindred spirit but he for a time saved him from feeling trapped by his family
Grindelwald did influence him, and yes loving him did brought him deeper into a dark path, but also it brought out what was already within Dumbledore, as he wanted power and glory, and saw Grindelwald’s vision for the world for the best of everyone, for the Greater Good. Caring less about his family until it was too late
Arinana’s death, humbled him, seeing the cost of his dark selfish desires. It was that loss that transformed him into the Dumbledore we know
One who no longer sought power for himself, or to be a great hero for himself but to groom other meek individuals like Newt and Harry to become great and change the world the right way

We need a proper Book series on the crimes of Grindelwald and the build up to the battle between Grindelwald and Dumbledore. Personally I like to think that Grindelwald did in his later years show remorse for his actions through seeing what Voldemort had done and realising that he had been young,Naive, Arrogant and blinded by his quest for power. His redemption was not telling Voldemort the location of the Elder wand, not giving the Tyrant what he wanted, protecting his old friend one last time, to be reunited with him later. Grindelwald realised the error of his ways and knew that Voldemort was ultimately Evil and in the end Grindelwald was in fact more human than Voldemort could ever be. Xx
Love how you closed the video your explanations are so beautiful🥺
Dumbledore died protecting wizards and muggles alike from Voldemort while Grinderwald died lying to Voldemort to protect his lover's grave and redeem himself
Bittersweet love story it is written beautifully by J.K. Rowling
I hope in one if the fantastic beasts movies we see a flash back of the battle between Dumbledore his brother and grindelwald
i think we might see the real thing! it takes place before the battle so it could be what the series is leading up to
MovieFlame Productions I think we will get to see the legendary battle between Dumbledore and grindelwald and that's what there leading up to but I think we will only get to see a flash back of the battle between Dumbledore, aberforth and grindelwald. As the next movie is based in the 1920's and the battle took place in the late 1890's 20 years before hand. Awesome video by the way.
I also hope that there's a flashback on how intimate they were. Two horny kids in the cold neighbourhood of Godric's Hollow with their "wands" standing up.
In the books, Grindelwald tries to make amends. In the movie, he gives away the truth with no remorse or guilt in his eyes. In fact , he looked happy.
This bothered me the most. Grindelwald was laughing while Voldemort tortured him, didn’t give anything away to him. Considering how powerful Voldemort was with possession and legitimency. It showed that even without a wand, Voldemort couldn’t just use imperio or possession to get the whereabouts of the wand from him. So regardless of his imprisonment by Dumbledore, he still didn’t give him away. Whatever his feelings may have been for Dumbledore, I agree with Harry’s assessment that Grindelwald didn’t want Voldemort to desecrate his tomb.
And also, Grindelwald could say nothing and Voldemort could still figure it out all by himself. How many Elderwand out there that happened to be passed/appeared between two of the most powerful wizards in recent history? Voldemort just wanted to be there for confirmation and also to satisfy his sadism tbh.
No evidence of him making amends or not wanting to have Dumbledore s tomb desecrated it's a fan boy myth.
Why should Grindelwald care what happens to Dumbledore,he was only using Dumbledore for his ideology all along, probably he didn't care about him at all.
He didn't tell voldy anything,as he considered him a fool ,who was making same mistake as him,and scorned him
Which book do they go over this scene? Thank You
So, you think Grindy didn’t ever care for dumbledore?
OMG! The most grieving love story EVER. The fan film I also watched showing the break up scene and duel of Albus, Aberforth and Gellert adds up for this tragic story. It is like a documentary happened years ago. 💖

I would like to believe that GG did not invade Britain, not only because he was apprehensive about Dumbledore but he too did not wish to face the man he had once loved as well as the fact that they both had made a blood pact that they would never fight each other🤔🤔
And I would say that Voldemort died a pathetic death, will be hated by everyone who knows him but in case of GG, he died protecting his best frd and his love, and there will always be two people (Dumbledore and Harry) who would remember him as a better man!!
