I spent a lot of time in the first 10 cars as a kid cause I was a noob but MAN this game was something special. Being able to go on 2 wheels and also exploring the city was legendary! Truly ahead of its time this game.

2023, here again after Nijigasaki NEXT SKY OVA SEASON 3 movie. Midnight Club II still has special places in our hearts.
Honestly one of my favorite racing games of all time. I'm actually writing a backstory to the characters, the main character who doesn't really have a personality in the game, and an overall plot. If you're interested, please let me know.

I always had the idea too of Midnight Club in the style of the 1st Fast and the Furious but focus strictly on the cars and basic come-up story. Love that you got to writing this. 👍

God I remember playing this game on my OG Xbox when I was young. Even though it was frustrating, it was still addictive and fun to play filling up my childhood. I'm right now emulating it on my powerful PC with PCSX2 cause I prefered console version more than PC version.

The car selection sounds of the PS2 version are in much higher quality than the PC ones.
I just realized that just about every car selection logo has something to do with the car name
It's a pretty neat detail that they made those unique logos for each vehicle.

Rockstar actually want make all cars in this game licensed but no because they don't want those manufacturer ruined by damage model until Midnight Club 3.

No they don't, licensing costs a lot and if Rockstar ever did a remaster then it would cost them more if they used licensed vehicles which will cut into potential profit that could have been made
Nah. They were too cheap. Licensing cars is costly and some manufacturers are picky on what car they want in the game. No way manufacturers would ok a game where you can run over people.

The Saikou XS is hands down the best all around car in the game especially for paris & Tokyo not too hard to control & very fast
I thought i was the only person who really enjoyed the sound of that engine.
Its hard to control during rain and instable at sometimes flips during the turns.

Lusso XT (lexus gs/toyota aristo) has the best sound
its also the fastest car in the game (not counting the rocket car) if you know how to use its wonky handling to its advantage.
@@MedicalBillz Lusso, has the same top speed (if you have infinite nitrous tanks for more noticeable results) as the Knight (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII), the SLF450x, and the cop vehicles as well. And also, I own a physical copy of Midnight Club II, I just picked at my last trip to Los Angeles, California, before getting back to Baja California, Mexico in the quarantine back in 2020, yet that didn't stopped me to pick a game like this! Very happy with this!

I was stuck on Haley the very last time I played, it was about.. 5 years ago? Damn time flies. When I was playing against Primo though, I only won because I got real damn lucky. I might be able to beat Haley nowadays with all the experience with driving in video games.
Fun fact: The game says that vortex is am eletric car, but there is a lot of things that show that Vortex dont is am eletric car such as the fact that has a sound,exaust pipe and cluthing sound.

1978 Bestia, Jersey XS, Alarde, Victory, Modo Prego, Vortex 5, Knight, Saikou XS, Torque JX, and Veloci are the 10 cars that I absolutely enjoy looking at. Rockstar just happened to model them so beautifully that it makes me feel like they should be a real car as a sibling to their irl counterparts.

@@CordellTGrace tbh every late race in this game was super rough starting from Tokyo, but last races of Kenchi and Makoto in rain + all Savo races are something on the even higher difficulty level, because completing every one of them could take up to week...of course aside from 4 checkpoint rsce, this is absolute winner of restarts in any other racing game

To be honest, it seems like most of these cars were like upgraded versions of the cars from Midnight Club Street Racing. Few of them changed most new were added, but still f*ckin perfect.

I never gotten far on mightnight club 2. Even mightnight club street racing I was like 6 or 7 for the first one. I was like 8 or 9 for number 2 then mightnight clubs dub edition came out I was like 8-10 last midnight club game I played was nightclub los Angeles. Probably like 10 or 13 years old when that came out.
