Everything about Neuvillette is just majestic. He's the definition of "harsh but fair." A huge majority of why Fontaine's story is so engaging is because of him.

Came back from 4.2 archon quest and what he said:
"I will use the past to judge the future." hits extremely hard now.
Also at the end when he says "But this is not the end, merely a prelude for what is to come" and you can see the sky cracking like the way the floor cracked when the all-devouring narwhal appeared.

Furina - My dear Iudex I must remind you no trial can be significantly dramatic if it is too short.
After Act 5 that line from Furina hits way differently. She's not saying that because she's being spoiled and bratty
She said "sufficiently" actually, not "significantly" (it also makes far more sense that way), but yeah, the line definitely has a whole new meaning after Act 5, she's been waiting for 500 years and her only clue was that it'd be a "dramatic" trial. Poor thing never imagined it'd be her own trial and that it was dramatic enough to break her.

I think that Furina is the Hydro Archon, not Neuvillette! XD I don't mind that she is, but I think that it would have been more awesome if he had been the Archon instead of her!

And most probably he is going to get it or at least the portion of dragon power it has in it (because fatui). If he does get it, he will be above archon tier. Could still get one shotted ingame though.
Neuvillette's story quest really went to reveal why he still respects and does what Furina asks of him even though he find her exasperating at times. Anyone who didn't poke around after the end of Neuvillete's story quest probably didn't know that Furina left a reply note on his table. Where Furina said she's glad to see that Neuvillette is taking the time to interact with his people and even asked him if he finds the human world as not being "too bad", Probably one of the few details that points to Furina hiding a great secret.

I can already tell Neuvillette is one of the most perfect characters hoyo has released. From his impeccable design to his commanding but calm demeanor and voice that the VAs bring. Ray Chase was such a perfect pick for the english role. I’m so interested to learn more about his character!

Except we never do learn much at all - characterisation is always just surface style - and if this is a genuine comment it is one of the reasons why we will NEVER get good characterisation. There is no depth. This is not 'perfect' - either this is a Mihoyo bot or you are someone caught up trying to outdo the hype of what is mostly a crowd of bots.

Everything about this demo is amazing, but I can't help but appreciate just how much Genshin's animation has improved. The NPC's movements in this demo were so dynamic and natural.

Everything in this demo is perfection. The effects, the visuals and the music just screams regality, power, elegance and magnificence, as expected of Neuvillette. He will be cemented as one of the best characters, with the best demos ever.

Spoilers: You know what I really, really love about this trailer, and why I keep coming back to it? The exchange between Furina and Neuvillette at the very end of it. While others have also said it hits different, I really want to say why it strikes me in particular so deeply. And that is because it is framed and shot in such a way that makes it seem like Furina is talking about things she doesn't fully understand, and Neuvillette is merely humoring her. It's only when we come back to it after finishing the Archon Quest that we can realize that Furina is the one talking to Neuvillette about things HE doesn't fully understand, and in pretending to be naive, she's the one humoring him. It's continuing the layers upon layers of detail that makes the Fontaine storyline so loved.

I have never been so curious about any character's past. And this is the first time that I truly think that his voice is 100% the thing which completes the character to perfection
His voice really does fit like a glove, along with Itto's. Funny how they're the complete opposite but both have stellar VAs

Denouement - Outcome which makes everything clear.
Raucous - Disturbingly harsh and loud voice.

tumult, as in when the melusine in his story quest commited suicide because of people blaming her for a crime, mainly because of them having doubt to coexist with this species. In the end, fontainians and melusines coexist peacefully, even willing to help each other when one faced difficulties
this could just mean any trial that he judged anyways
(this might be a stretch but) from 0:33 there is the oratrice representing utmost justice(?) with the iudex then 0:35 (with neuvillette's back) shows how neuvillette judges without being affected by emotions or it could mean he saw something that only he is able to witness (like focalor last words?) as the hydro dragon/iudex after that the screen is filled with slight purple likely representing that abyss whale attacks fontainians or the prophecy that is going to come true, or could be both, next scene the oratrice is not there anymore leaving only neuvillette standing there with more ripples of water that is not really moving, as if everything was stopped in time when the oratrice (focalor) died, and the emotions so strong that it made the water ripple, then there's neuvillette being surrounded by fog, just like the statement he just said earlier:
"Emotions burst forth from the depths of the heart, and surround their host like a dense fog"
it might just to make a smooth transition but noticing that he is crying makes me like him even more >:O
There are much more that has already been pointed out by the comments and one i really liked was that when neuvillette is stopping the rain it means he's trying to suppress his emotions during trials so that his judgements are absolutely just. the amount of details👊

Ray Chase on his way to give one of the best performances ever! He played Neuvillette so well! I absolutely loved his performance throughout this arc.
after playing through 4.1's archon quest, I gotta say that him and wriothesley have got to be my favorite characters in game, not only do they have incredible aesthetic appeal but they're both written insanely well and actually feel like deep characters with intriguing lore

I remember when I played the new archon quest and we walked over to sit next to Nuevillette. When he spoke, my jaw ACTUALLY dropped. His voice is so damn fine, I could be attracted to Nuevillette for that alone. Props to Ray Chase!

He mentions in his ascend lvl 90 how he will go to the heavens and fight the usurper king bc he gained back his full dragon powers, he might be mentioning the heavenly principals or celestia as you say, so he might be also trying to reach the heavens to maybe regain power or smth idfk💀🙏

The soundtrack doesn't get stuck in my head when I listen to it. It doesn't have any defining characteristics. The previous five-star trailers had a personal touch that defined the character more.

ive already read his datamined character stories, voicelines, his story quest + the new archon quest, and it's quite disappointing to say the least. he brings no new insight on the sovereigns, and we're left with the exact same questions as before.

Such a masterpiece! I haven't had goosebumps and awe at a demo before after Zhongli's and Raiden's, proving that Neuvillette really holds such commanding presence as evidenced by the music and his characterization. Its not everyday we get a really powerful and esteemed character aside from the Archons.

Yes it is. Genshin is amazing because for pivotal scenes they make bespoke soundtracks whereas most games just play a standard track already in the game. The way they approach music is very similar to movie composing where each scene has its own theme.
Yeah seeing it now, Neuvillette’s trailer definitely seems more “god-like” than Furina’s. Pretty fitting tbh.
Ever since his first appearance in the game Neuvillette has been my favorite character. I love the way he's shown throughout the story, it's one of the best characters I've ever seen

I haven't felt this enraptured by a trailer since Zhongli. This is on par with his, or it's even gone above. The haunting choir and different music styles and hidden messages throughout. This is one of Genshin's best trailers to date.
