True Hero Lebron deserves to be in the conversation IMO. I know most people dismiss this with his finals record. But many fail to realise that basketball is a team sports. His team lost the finals 4 times. Not him alone. Since it is a debate on who's the greatest PLAYER. Lebron is definitely up there. Dude can give you anything. Triple double if he wants to. Scoring title if he wants to. A facilitator. Big and fast. Can defend 1-4 or even 5. Adding him into a team makes that team a playoff team instantly. Even a championship contender. The fact that he carried 2 shitty cleveland teams to the finals proves it. If u add kobe, a playoff team maybe. A finals team? i dont think so. Dont get me wrong im not saying lebron is better than kobe. Kobe is much better mentally and his scoring skills are insane. 1 on 1 kobe and MJ would beat lebron. Im just saying lebron is in the conversation and that we should not put him down only cuz majority hates him and they overlook him.
Kobe is very smart he modeled his whole game after jordan so positioning was huge in having success from anywhere on the court and that’s something mj had in spades

Rodman is still with the Pistons within those years. * 17 out of the 50 All-time Greats played within MJ's era. * Kobe played more Seasons amounting to 200+ more games Phil Jackson: "One of the biggest differences between the two stars from my perspective was Michael's superior skills as a leader.. Though at times he could be hard on his teammates, Michael was masterful at controlling the emotional climate of the team with the power of his presence. Kobe had a long way to go before he could make that claim. He talked a good game, but he'd yet to experience the cold truth of leadership in his bones, as Michael had (Jackson noted the "pronounced" difference in their accuracy, Jordan shooting almost 50% - an "extraordinary figure" - while Bryant had been at 45%). No question, Michael was a tougher, more intimidating defender. He could break through virtually any screen and shut down almost any player with his intense, laser-focused style of defense."
Yeah but Kobe was closer still what's makes Bryant unique is that he shouldn't be in top 25 players but this dude wasn't an athletic freak like LeBron or Mj he doesn't have a good shooting efficiency like Curry or Durant but the fact he achieved all of these awards and the fact his ability to adapt in some Jordan ways makes Kobe's career better in terms of reaching beyond limits. Kobe Bryant isn't as gifted with basketball like LeBron or Mj in no shape or form but the fact he could find other ways to make you remember him makes him a different legend compared to LeBron or Mj and that's why in some people's Kobe did what Mj or LeBron couldn't do and that's take more L's and missed shots and still be the best scorer in today's game even though he wasn't the best of the best at his craft but a little above average. Oh and his footwork and versatile scoring made him more competitive like Michael but in another way.
Bryant's fade-away is a bit different than Jordan's. Here's my observation: 1. The base form: Jordan fades with legs bent more, whereas Bryant's legs are more straight. 2. The upper form: Bryant rises his shoulders more, so his neck looks shorter when he fades, whereas Jordan's shoulders seem more relaxed. 3. The kick: Bryant kicks more than Jordan, i.e. his right leg goes farther than Jordan. 4. The power: Bryant seems to exert more power in his fades, whereas Jordan seems to exert less power. So I have to agree when Phil Jackson said that Jordan is stronger than Bryant. 5. Vertical: Jordan has higher vertical than Bryant. 6. The angle: Jordan's shooting angle is close to 45 degree whereas Bryant's shot is flatter (perhaps around 40 degree.) FYI, Sports Science proved that the most effective & efficient shooting angle in basketball is 45 degree. I like Bryant's fade-away form better because of the straight legs, but overall, Jordan's fade-aways are more efficient & more difficult to defend than Bryant's. I also agree that Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. Oh, and this comes from a Kobe's fan :-)
It's because Jordan's vert was higher that Kobe has a higher release point (thus the shoulders lifting). He needs to in order to shoot over defenders. Jordan just rose above them like Westbrook does so he can have a quicker and lower release (more relaxed shoulders). However this gave Kobe more range. He could hit Curry distance three's with perfect form almost identical to Curry's. It just wasn't accepted back then so he didn't practiced it but he could've gotten it down I'm certain of it.
Thanks for producing this and showcasing Kobe’s talents and admiration for Jordan in these clips. I’m glad this will live, hopefully forever so others can experience just how great they were. 💜💛💜💛
I've always emphasized that 2003 was Kobe's greatest year. That was the only year that we saw the combination of the athleticism of a young Kobe, merged with the jumpshot and craftiness of older Kobe. His knee surgery during the 2003 off-season really hampered his athleticism going forward. He was never really the same athletically after. You still saw bursts of what he had from '98-03, but he could never sustain it like he did before. If you study game tape, you can clearly see a difference in the way Kobe moved, dribbled, and drove the ball before '03, and after '03. I do wish we would've gotten to see his pre-surgery athleticism a bit more. It was the closest we ever got to a '91 Michael Jordan.
I'm amazed that the person who put this video together was able to weed through all the various games over the course of these two players careers and found identical footage to put a side-by-side comparison. That is extreme dedication.
Jordan has higher PER, more rings, higher ppg, better offensive rating, has more offensive win shares, More defensive win shares, more points scored in career, higher true shooting percentage, higher effective field goal percentage, higer offensive rebounds percentage, higher defensive rebound percentage, has higher ast percentage, has lower turnover percentage,
At the End of the Day, Kobe Bryant has studied MJ and his game.... he tried to clone Jordan's style and he has acomplished that goal. This video proves this. Kobe Bryant wants to be and is a carbon copy of Michael Jordan, THE ORIGINAL MICHAEL JORDAN, might I add.... Kobe Bryant wants that 6th ring so hie ultimate goal of trying to match JORDAN is complete.
So many childhood memories, reflecting back on these two and how influential they were to us when we were kids. It's hard to comprehend Kobe's passing.
Given the news today, I just had to go out and look at some vids of Kobe... Being a Bulls fan...I HATED Kobe being compared to His Airness. I thought to myself "He may have copied his moves on the court, and his mannerisms, but he will NEVER be MJ..." But this video..... This video has shown me that Kobe wanted to be GREAT. And to be GREAT, you had to mimic greatness.... I thank you Kobe. You are as true to MJ as anyone has ever been. I love and respect your game. RIP....my brotha... Marsournexthome
Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, these names shall never be forgotten in the history of Basketball. They will always be remembered in the Hall of Greatness
Kobe studied every move MJ made and he perfectly applied it in every game. Both had so much respect for each other, unlike todays players saying they can beat MJ one on one blah blah blah or they can beat the 90's Bulls. Its easy to talk but definitely harder to walk.
Many are saying remixes are worse but guys have u even heard real remix? I mean like old school those ones were the real og remixes better than any other.
Everyone that's pointing out Kobe played longer are not mentioning Jordan walked into league with green light. Kobe had to come off bench and then play second fiddle he didn't have green light to shoot at will. He would've broken record sooner if he did
very good list but what is ypur opinion about this one 1 - Michael Jordan 2 - Kobe Bryant 3 - Larry Bird/Magic Johnson /LeBron James 4 - Allen Iverson /Kareem Abdul Jabbar 5 - Karl Malone/Shaq/Hakeem Olajuwan
Öteki Adam both of you guys got shit lists how do you put players with no rings and FMVP ahead on a top 5 lists? It should go 1. Michael Jordan - 6x Champion/6x FMVP 2. LeBron James - 3x Champion/3x FMVP 3. Magic Johnson - 5x Champion/3x FMVP 4. Shaq - 4x Champion/3x FMVP 5. Tim Duncan - 5x Champion/3x FMVP
The difference between Kobe and a lot of other legends is that he has NEVER had someone else in his team capable of creating their own shot consistently. Jordan had Pippen. Lebron has Wade. That opens up the floor.
Lol Kobe had Shaq? Are you kidding me right now ? Shaq was in his prime, one of the most dominant players ever. Shaq opened up the floor more then the other two btw.
Kobe had Shaq which gave him time to create his own shot, Kobe won 3 with with Shaq. Kobe didn't win any championship titles until Pau Gasol came and he won 2 with him. So he had somebody.
Lot of love and respect was put into making this video, you did fantastic job my friend. People dont really understand what it means that Kob was closest thing to MJ, he trully was. How skilled you have to be to come into NBA and say im gonna emulate the game of the greatest player that ever played, and do so successfully, despite not being born with natural gifts MJ had. Simply amazing. Great work on the video.
The ultimate game of 🐎 right here. Your turn, my turn personified by this video. Each move copied to perfection. Just as flawless. WHO'S YOUR MAMBA? RIP KOBE!!! #1 FAN (since LOWER MERION) NUFF SAID!
It’s unbelievable how similar they are. Kobe studied Jordan to a tee and on top of it was just destined to play this game just as MJ was. It’s so similar that’s its eerie. The best 2 to ever play the game in my opinion
Kobe avged 34 1 year and didn't win the MVP. Kobe isn't a peoples person as we all know he's definitely been cheated MVP trophies so u can't base shit off that but Jordan is still the best
Kobe is a phenomenal talent, once in a lifetime player, as seen by his final performance against Utah with 60 and the game winning shot with 30 seconds to go. Hands down my favorite all time player, no question. But one specific area where Michael always had the edge that I think is often overlooked are his hands. Michael had huge hands, allowing him to be more creative with the ball with one hand, whether in the air or off the dribble. Kobe has relatively small hands for a 6'6 individual, and if you notice, can barely palm the ball when going up for a dunk. He basically cups it most of the time, or uses two hands. This was an advantage for MJ, but also a slight deterrent in terms of long range shooting, as Kobe has proven to be a better 3 point shooter than Michael.
That sounds about right about Kobe's hand size because I was thinking the only MJ move I never remember seeing from Kobe is palming the ball and faking a pass. I figured Kobe hands are probably too small for that.
Technibility I think that's a fair assessment but you also have to remember the game was different back then. There was more of an impetus on 3pt shooting as the years post Jordan flew by. During Jordan's day the post and having a mid range game was superior to any 3pt shooter bc defensive schemes were so aggressive that chances were that you wouldn't shoot well from 3. As the game progressed defense became optional as it is today and more people focused on maximizing the 3pt shot.
Byron you're wrong about that they didn't emphasize defense against 3pt shots back in the day like they do in today's game. They hammered them in the paint yes but watch some old film and you'll see how much space they give perimeter players. Today's players are simply better shooters who release the ball much more quickly and more accurately. Also, it was only after Kobe's era that the 3pt shot became so prevalent (enter GSW). Kobe's era is the post-MJ era. Basically the league was filled with players who played just like MJ. Kobe did it best. Same as how this new era will be the post-Curry era where all the quick little guards can shoot accurately from range with extremely limited space.
Why can't people just be thankful for both Michael and Kobe. To see both of them play the game is enough of a blessing... For all to respect.... Peace..

Im just saying lebron is in the conversation and that we should not put him down only cuz majority hates him and they overlook him.
fff
Curry doesn't exist?
What's funny is that Kobe is in the exact spot mj was on the court like to a tee
That's the most creepiest part. Its like Kobe is some type of time traveler or something.
This is due to the triangle offense that Phil Jackson utilized them in. That's how I've come to see they're very identical.
Austin Pitts not only that hut it was against the same kind of defense.
Not at 2:16
Kobe is very smart he modeled his whole game after jordan so positioning was huge in having success from anywhere on the court and that’s something mj had in spades
The music just makes this video and I always come back to it just to marvel at the greatness of Kobe and Jordan

Phil Jackson:
"One of the biggest differences between the two stars from my perspective was Michael's superior skills as a leader..
Wow thanks you i didnt knew Those stats (sorry broken english)
Case made I guess😂
I think hes trying to say MJ is better, but I could be wrong.
you deserve more likes
Oh and his footwork and versatile scoring made him more competitive like Michael but in another way.
must be hell to make these videos, hours of footage to put together.
thats a dedicated fan
I hope he get paid by youtube rather than those nonsense youtubers
Jordan is The G.O.A.T.
Will always watch these Kobe-Jordan comparison videos having the privilege of watching 2 all time greats of the NBA..RIP Kobe Bryant
Kobe and Jordan are the same. The only differences are that MJ has 6 and Kobe has 5. Kobe only has 1 MVP but we all know he was robbed.
yup
Yea and without Kobe Shaq wouldn't have a ring or a mvp
+Craig Williams kobe won two without shaq obviously shaq wasn't the reason
ur a dumb ass lol
Dumb as fuck, they went and got gasol or else he wouldn't won shit
Bryant's fade-away is a bit different than Jordan's. Here's my observation:
Oh, and this comes from a Kobe's fan :-)
no justification needed, he stole the jumpshot. stop, good effort tho
Elijah Fraley Hahaa... Thanks for the comment & have a good day :-)
Elijah Fraley, Picasso : "Good Artists Copy; Great Artists Steal."
And I'm talking near half court.
Thanks for producing this and showcasing Kobe’s talents and admiration for Jordan in these clips. I’m glad this will live, hopefully forever so others can experience just how great they were. 💜💛💜💛
Rest In Peace Kobe
You inspired a lot of the youth to keep going with basketball thank you for everything you did for the Lakers
The Kise of NBA.

NubSpy Gaming whos that?
@@cafelatte1124 yeah this bozo otaku's watched too much anime than real basketball.. Sad generation lolz XD
It was the closest we ever got to a '91 Michael Jordan.
agreed 02-03 was the best overall version of kobe pre knee surgeries
I'm amazed that the person who put this video together was able to weed through all the various games over the course of these two players careers and found identical footage to put a side-by-side comparison. That is extreme dedication.
One of three masterpieces. Thank you
Jordan has higher PER, more rings, higher ppg, better offensive rating, has more offensive win shares, More defensive win shares, more points scored in career, higher true shooting percentage, higher effective field goal percentage, higer offensive rebounds percentage, higher defensive rebound percentage, has higher ast percentage, has lower turnover percentage,
oh yeah forgot more mvp awards
If you understood basketball you'd know theres more than just points, rings etc.
Basketball is about teamwork and being the best player you could be.
wow 1 ring more
William Lebon If you could read you would know I listed other than things than points.
***** Yeah 1 ring is a lot more considering Mj played a lot less seasons and Kobe will never make the playoffs again
Sterlin Jordan Fuck whoever u like
John Louis Something tells me you don’t like Lebron.
This has been one of my favorite sports clips since it came out. I’ll always remember your final game. RIP Mamba
And they saying Kawhi is closer than kobe lmao
Trevian Smith that’s what brought me here 😂😂
@@mogulmediastudiodavehucks9918 same
He may be stronger but not more talented.
Kobe is the closest to Jordan we will ever find. Period. Any hate toward either men should be disregarded
***** So disrespectful
😡
Kobe Bryant said
“Kise, PERFECT COPY!!!!!”
Jordan(as Aoimine): “NANI!!!!”
It was almost scary to see how identical those plays were. It was mindblowing
Super video. Kudos. RIP Mamba.
Rest in peace, Kobe. You'll be remembered, and your legacy will always live on.
Part 3 anyone??
yes please!
and when you've posted it can you reply to me and say when you have made a part 3
Yaaaassssss
yuuuuuuuuuSSSS Please! :D
I just saw you on bein sports .. and I came here to see the video.
Great work buddy !!
I thought to myself "He may have copied his moves on the court, and his mannerisms, but he will NEVER be MJ..."
But this video.....
This video has shown me that Kobe wanted to be GREAT. And to be GREAT, you had to mimic greatness....
I thank you Kobe. You are as true to MJ as anyone has ever been. I love and respect your game. RIP....my brotha...
Marsournexthome
When I seen Kobe's tongue come out, thats when I was convinced that this was more than idolatry, this was obsession
LOL
🤣
Yea the tongue thing he took it too far
He was a fanatic jordan drove him
Anytime you ask your opponent questions while you're playing them you're an obsessive fanatic.
The greatest video I have ever seen
Cody C True. Awesome editing work. The Kobe/MJ clips are uncanny!
The creator of this video should be hired by the NBA for video editing and analysis because this is nothing short of spectacular. ❤
love, Love, LOVE this music with the video!! R.I.P. Kobe The Goat
Rest In Peace Kobe Bryant. January 26th, 2020.
Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, these names shall never be forgotten in the history of Basketball. They will always be remembered in the Hall of Greatness
I remember NBA.com posted this video on the homepage site years back... now that's Legendary. #Thankyou
Great vids! All three of them, nice work Youssef. #lakersftw
Kobe rest in peace :(
I think let's give credit to Kobe it's not like his all Imitation, he may have some skills jordan has but I think each player is unique
Exactly....I haven't heard anyone say Kobe replicates j's layups....jordan was the {jimi hendrix, james brown, tom brady} Of All Of Basketball...imo
This is awesome. We are waiting on part 3!
This was perfect. Wish it was longer.
Kobe studied every move MJ made and he perfectly applied it in every game. Both had so much respect for each other, unlike todays players saying they can beat MJ one on one blah blah blah or they can beat the 90's Bulls. Its easy to talk but definitely harder to walk.
JORDAN AND BRYANT That to guys are part of my inspiration to play basket ball ^_^ there are my IDOLS.
I just love this video! !
great job man!
Lets say...if Jordan is original song... Kobe is the remix
shutup
no Kobe is the cover
well... remakes and remixes always fail to the original.
Many are saying remixes are worse but guys have u even heard real remix? I mean like old school those ones were the real og remixes better than any other.
Bootleg
Everyone that's pointing out Kobe played longer are not mentioning Jordan walked into league with green light. Kobe had to come off bench and then play second fiddle he didn't have green light to shoot at will. He would've broken record sooner if he did
Eric Mack mj averaged more shot attempts as well.
PHENOMENAL video🔥
Gotta love dat!!! Great video
Who else here to say rip Kobe 🤧❤️ ?

Amazing video
Man. These too have so much in common in terms of playing style in basketball. It's truly amazing
RIP Kobe 😭
The difference between Kobe and a lot of other legends is that he has NEVER had someone else in his team capable of creating their own shot consistently. Jordan had Pippen. Lebron has Wade. That opens up the floor.
Lol Kobe had Shaq? Are you kidding me right now ? Shaq was in his prime, one of the most dominant players ever. Shaq opened up the floor more then the other two btw.
you can't be serious
Nobody touched Shaq in his prime.
Kobe had Shaq which gave him time to create his own shot, Kobe won 3 with with Shaq. Kobe didn't win any championship titles until Pau Gasol came and he won 2 with him. So he had somebody.
Xx_Public_EnemyxX Rite. I been sayin that 4 years
Lot of love and respect was put into making this video, you did fantastic job my friend.
RIP KOBE!!! #1 FAN (since LOWER MERION) NUFF SAID!
go to sleep😑😴...kobe could never replicate jordan's flamboyant layups/close to the board shots.
MJ had retired for 2 years
otherwise Bulls would've had 8 in a row
You forget those Rockets, people say that but the fact is basketball is never clear cut.
Damn RIP Kobe 🙏 no worries tho bc we will all taste the bitterness of death one day
Lmfao I wasn't expecting that
@First Last still true. Gotta face the music.
great clip! Rest in Love Kobe!
Chills everytime I watch this
Kobe memorized every move and did it from the same spots , just crazy the mamba mentality, he’s the better jordan
Kobe is my hero, if Kobe retire i will stop watching NBA!
No one the league moves like these 2 anymore. Really impressive to watch.
Gives me goosebumps every time I watch this. More so now that he has passed. RIP Kobe Bryant
RIP Kobe a legacy that can never be touched💯
First is Jordan...the greatest that ever played the game...
It’s unbelievable how similar they are. Kobe studied Jordan to a tee and on top of it was just destined to play this game just as MJ was. It’s so similar that’s its eerie. The best 2 to ever play the game in my opinion
Nice Video bruh!
Michael Jordan's ROOKIE year stats: 28.2 PPG. 6.5 RPG. 5.9 APG.
Kobe Bryant's MVP year stats: 28.3 PPG. 6.3 RPG. 5.4 APG.
Damn!
OOOOH! Slow down dawg...YOU KILLIN' 'EM SON! -Ugly Nigga from www.uglynigga.com
Yes but Kobe had better touch and feel with the ball and better handles as well. Which are the advantage of smaller hands.
Same as how this new era will be the post-Curry era where all the quick little guards can shoot accurately from range with extremely limited space.
wow im 5'6 and i could nearly palm the ball
Why can't people just be thankful for both Michael and Kobe. To see both of them play the game is enough of a blessing... For all to respect.... Peace..
"Like Mike.. If i could be like Mike! I wanna be i wanna be like Miike" Kobe loved that commercial more than anyone in this world!
He was the only one to make that dream true

StreetLord 413 how??... Jordan "made" Kobe??... horrible choice of words...
Michael Jordan will be the G.O.A.T because he was the first to do it but Kobe Bryant will be the greatest.
