Most people who die in fires do so from smoke inhalation. I have wondered about purchasing an apparatus like this for an emergency. I wonder how well it would work filtering out the really thick, acrid smoke of a house fire. There's no oxygen cylinder that comes with it, its just supposed to filter out the smoke.
