Well done on a beautiful piece of work. I was born in Coventry, raised in Suffolk and came back. Again, I’ve left the city but a piece of my heart will always be Coventry. Thank you for your remembrance of a city that gave so much to the war effort and to industry

beautiful tribute mate, very thoughtful, and how good it would be to be able to walk around the streets of Coventry as they were in the 1930s

I have a friend living in Warwick and that is near Coventry and he told me about this bombing, very sad. One time I'd like to visit Coventry...the brother of my grandfather was a PoW in England and said the English were strict but fair and polite and actually very kind to them though they were enemies. He always spoke well about the English and had lots of respect for them. Regards from Germany.

Good video mate. My late grandad was only 6 or 7 in the Coventry Blitz but he told me many stories about how he remembers running to the air raid shelters in Radford with bombs falling all around him.

I was born in Coventry, It was only possible as my mum was lost whilst in hospital. My grandparents searched for 3 days trying to find her. I was proud to be from Coventry but as a family we left in 1977. I've not been back since apart from my grandads funeral, I not been back since

Well done Matt. Nicely done. We were targeted as you say mainly because of our engineering industry. Not much left just Medieval Spon St. Britain responded near the end of the war, some say in vengeance, by flattening what is now our twin city Dresden. We used to sell Dresden crystal when I worked at Owen Owen.

I was born in Coventry in July 1939. My life was saved by my pram when our house was hit when it turned upside down with me still inside saving me from all the falling debris.

By the time the Luftwaffe bombed the munitions factories in Coventry the RAF had already bombed cities and towns in Germany for six months.

I live in bedworth (black bedduth) and know that the destruction of Coventry still has an effect, it lead to a deep mistrust of Europe and all it seems to stand for.
what we can learn from the past is that, when times become hard, Britain will always stand alone from europe.
