The grand concerts are great. More people should consider them in general. I have a 322ce, and almost all of my playing is at home, on an amp in a pit, recording in front of a mic, or playing at church plugged in. There's really no reason my guitar needs to be big and loud unplugged for me (but I do also have an AD17e, so that does kinda cover me for the rest of the time).

Thanks to your review I just bought a Taylor 322ce 12 fret. I'm in the UK so I can't buy from you but I love your channel. I have been a Martin and Furch player for years but these Taylors are stellar. Thanks guys

I really hope they are not limited in the future. It's just makes sense for somesome stepping up from a beginner guitar to have a grand concert option.

Loved my 214ce as well , and still love my old Bigbaby, I have an 814ce , but completely different critters , that Koa is sweet..........and my grand concert is a 652ce, so nice

Both were great sounding. I’d probably choose the 212 over the compressiveness of the koa. But it’s a really beautiful guitar, and that compression would likely be easy to live with. Perfect presentation and analysis.
What would I like to see in a 200 level? Maybe a GP in a burst would be interesting.

Interesting that Taylor would reserve the 222ce for Koa. Wonder what they could they do to offer a mahogany configuration? 122 and 124? Perhaps they feel they have that covered off with AD22 albeit with all solid wood?

the description of the one I bought says it's full hoa top back and sides. Not Layered. Did they recently update it??

Somebody could help me in this? - Which one is more bassy, 112ce or 212.ce?
I know that laminated backs sort of neutralize tone, still though, some sources show 212 as being more bassy and 112 more midrange(y).

Nice voicing. I like the voice of the 212ce and the looks of the 222ce. I'm not giving up my unsigned Chris McKee signature 914ce model. Still REALLY like Cooper's green Alamo ball cap. Thanks, Chris and Cooper

Canadian viewers may call the 222 the Deux Deux Deux, which has a bit of a seedy background to it. Just ask Chris Berman.

Why? Why 1 11/16" nut width? I would love to buy a Mexican made Taylor but they need to change to 1 3/4" please.

I bought a 222ce and didn't realize it had smaller nut width and it didn't bother me at all. Now that I'm aware of it does feel a little tighter. But I still love this guitar.
