    She was only 16 at the time, and came in second at the Sanremo Festival. I was just a kid, but I remember Anna making a huge impression on the audience. She had a remarkable career in the following years. I'm excited as Sanremo Festival starts tomorrow night, and Maneskin are going to be there!

      Nel 1978 Anna aveva appena 16 anni, avrebbe compiuto 17 anni due mesi e mezzo dopo.
      Era una vera rivelazione e poi nel corso degli anni ha inciso i suoi successi che sono sempre attuali.

She is a thousand and one women and she will never stop evolving. The list of songs you can listen to is endless: Pagliaccio Azzurro, Quando Nasce un Amore, Mezzo Angolo di Cielo, Tutti i Brividi del Mondo, E' Tutto un Attimo. Really, pick one. Thank you for this reaction and thank you Mario for suggesting her to you.

    it was her Punk Period ---> Il resto lo scrivo in italiano... la genialità di Fossati è il testo che riesce a mettere in questa canzone. La canzone infatti inizia con Lei che si accorge di essere innamorata, ma Fossati (grande conoscitore del mondo femminile) lo sintetizza come: "c'è una ragione che cresce...". Ha un chè di antropologico!

    I think that in Italy (especially in the past) women need to have a very incredible voice in order to get be successful. While men were more songwriters and also singers, but the voice wasn’t supposed to be incredible. For example, de Andre’s songs work well, even if he doesn’t have the most incredible voice because he tells you a story and walks you through that.
    Other italian people feel free to disagree (respectfully)

    • @Sara-fd3dd
      @Sara-fd3dd Před 2 lety +1

      I don't agree entirely. It used to be true enough, but in my opinion it was true for men too, unless they knew how to write or had a formidable stage presence. But in many cases it was like that for women too, look at Gianna Nannini: does she have a beautiful voice? Can she sing divinely? No, but she has still been very successful, both now and in the past. But also Loredana Bertè, and many others. But right now I don't find it true at all: there are many indie (female) singers, for example, who don't have a beautiful voice or can't sing divinely, yet they are successful; and there are so many men who do not know how to do anything in particular but have a beautiful voice and are famous for it. It is true that there are more male songwriters than women, but in both sexes I find that the only truly fundamental thing is originality and style: a woman can easily be successful if she is particular even if she does not have a perfect voice, and the same thing for men.

    • @alicet2241
      @alicet2241 Před 2 lety

      As I said in the beginning of the comment I think that my statement was truer in the past (70s-80s especially). I was trying to generalize in my comment to make a person who’s not italian understan a certain situation. But the problem of generalizing is that you always leave out someone or a certain situation. All of that just to say that I really agree with the examples that you’ve listed in your comment☺️

    • @Sara-fd3dd
      @Sara-fd3dd Před 2 lety

      @@alicet2241 Ah, ok. I had read "Especially in the past", but with this sentence I think you meant "now less than before, but even now". However, in my opinion it is not a completely truthful thing even for the 70s or 80s: it seemed so simply because there were just fewer women who threw themselves into the music, and those who threw themselves did so very often almost exclusively for their singing skills. But then there are many exceptions, and I don't find that the public decided whether or not someone was good based on sex.

    I second other comments suggesting you check out her other songs like “È tutto un attimo” and “Quando nasce un amore”, you’ll see how powerful her voice was and also her aesthetic was so iconic! Hallo Ang! Nice you like these singers. Unfortunately we miss the blues tradition, so many are lacking. But we have had jazz female singers in the past. Aside Antonella Ruggero, none of them grown up with a band from scratch so they are either interpreters or songwriters (waaay later). Still you miss three of the best imho:
    - Patty Pravo;
    - Loredana Bertè (Mia Martini' sister)
    - Donatella Rettore.

    A small emotion
    There is a reason growing in me
    and the unconsciousness disappers
    It's like a trip, which ends at night
    Tell me, tell me, tell me why
    loving a man who has no pity
    One who never felt he was over
    who has never lost
    never for you, never a song for you
    never a poor illusion, a banal thought
    something which stays
    But for me it's more than normal
    (that) a small emotion
    makes me suffer
    A whispered word is enough
    and I don't see the reality any longer
    I don't see
    the difference
    between blind love
    and stupid endurance
    No, I don't see the reality any longer
    neither how much tendereness you get
    from my incoherence
    thinking you would live well also without it
    There is a reason growing in me
    and a fear rising
    the unexpected mixes up the mind
    until it regrets
    and for me it's more than normal
    (that) a small emotion
    makes me suffer
    A whispered word is enough
    and I don't see the reality any longer
    I don't see
    the difference
