Checo wants at least 2 years if he doesn't get that he is going somewhere else. Ford likes Checo more than Max.

Checo is a team player, and a great number 2, RedBull would make a huge mistake in not signing him again.

So far, this season, only the RB team knows how fast they really are as the team is the very best 'on track', at optimising every race as the race evolves.

News update: Max has recently confirmed that he will be racing for the RB team until the end of his contract in 2028.

China is also a sprint race week. So not only the drivers haven't been there in a while and it will be new to some, but also only one practice session. So there will be a lot of unknowns that week. It will be exciting, hopefully will meet the expectations and we get a banger race!

The current RB team's setup is 'head & shoulders ' above the rest of the pack. That's why there is no reason to change anything for the foreseeable future.

I’m pretty sure that if Max has fewer than, say, 18 wins, some people will say he’s had a bad year.

lets wait for few more races, I think Checo will eventually fell behind significantly to Max and I think also to Charles then it will be obvious that has to go!!!

I believe that the driver changes after 2026 will be massive. First of all if RBR fail to have a very good engine then Max will shift to the team with the best package.

There's a lot of hopium in this. You might well be the only ones still drumming up the narrative of internal strife.... I think y'all's analysis could be better than this level. That line of discussion is more gossipy than sports analysis.

You can see checo helps max a lot, therefore checo leaving redbull would give him a reason to pass max and win championships on his own

Got it in one. The Japanese Susuka track is as ever, great - same boring RedBull total domination too; making F1 a not very entertaining spectacle.
Fans are voting with their feet, because it's not racing, it's predictable.
Sergio Perez is the No.2 driver in the RedBull team.
He doesn't get to finish in front of Max Verstappen, unless the Netherlands driver has a DNF.
Beginning and end to all of that . . .

Max will destroy the likes of Russell, Leclerc or Sainz in that Redbull specifically
Sainz looks good in that Ferrari but as soon as Sainz Jumps ship to Redbull, It will be Albon/Gasly scenario all again
No driver on the grid can handle peaky, Twitchy, Strong front end Redbull car as Max loves
It took so much effort from perez to finally get hold of that car
And Redbull management knows, there is no way they will remove best no. 2 driver to bring another driver who starts struggling and get demolished by Max week n week again.
Only Alonso can handle that car but it's still a question, will he be any closer to max in that RB?
In short Perez is the best RB can get in that RB of all the current Drivers in Formula 1
      Strictly based on car's Characteristics
All the other top drivers love Strong Rear end balanced cars be it Russell, Leclerc, Sainz, Lewis or Norris
But it's true Leclerc can manage faster than Perez did
But it will take a year or 2 to struggle alongside Max.
