Well, Seb's 2019 Singapore victory has a similar shot. This shot is more iconic because it was a bit more of an underdog moment, also it being a night race does it more justice

It’s probably because it’s not broadcasted, if you listen to every drivers radio , most of them complain about the tyres in one way or another.

The only thing I remember about his tyres was the pit stops that promoted stroll wheres he said that the tyres were OK for the end
You must not watch F1. I've seen every race of his since GP2. He has definitely complained as much as others about tyres, but he doesn't carry other stigmas to say he doesn't complain. Nice try new faux fan.

@@beerussama6205 Well, he was at McLaren for just one year, and he largely agreed to join McLaren (which entailed leaving the Ferrari young driver program) because he didn't see a path into a senior Ferrari seat opening up anytime soon.
We all know the real moment of brilliance was Checo saving the team and saving the jobs of 400 team members by sacrificing his wages. I hope he finds a better seat next year.

Easily one of the best drivers on the grid and also criminally underrated.
I think that Checo is the greatest F1 driver to ever drive mid to back grid cars. And easily one of the best of the 21st century F1.
He made headlines with a Sauber. He won with a Racing Point. It can't be a joke that he could even make podiums with a Williams if he wanted to.
Then, he had a fist fight with Lewis' Mercedes with that blocking job, and even if he was passed, he won at the end since Checo's teammate won the whole championship.
Yeah. Absurdly underrated but one of the best nonetheless. And Mexico's proudness.
This list would be VERY different if it was made after this season. This season alone Checo had like three moments deserving three spots on this list. "Checo is a LEGEND" - Max Verstappen.

Perez has been one of the Top-5 drivers for years but man is so underrated.

The only thing the man has lacked all this time is the best machinery underneath him, and even then Checo manages to extract the max out of a midfield car putting them on podiums.

What Button did was great but he had arguably the best car and there was rain or mixed conditions where crazy things can happen, this one is a whole new record as Per was dead last at the beginning and with the 5th best car went to win it (obviously with a pinch of luck just as Button)
Bruh he deserves a Mercedes seat. If Hamilton really doesn't sign back with Merc, I'd honestly rather see Perez get a shot at the championship than have the still green Russell jump from the worst to best car, though that would be amazing.

As a stroll fan i don’t dislike him personally. Stroll dose tend to get the blame for pretty much any teammate change however. Both when Ocon lost his seat and when Perez lost his. Perez just has a fanbase that can be incredibly toxic to anyone who may stand in the way of Checo. They harassed both Lance and Alex far more than necessary in the months following the announcement. That I don’t think is cool or acceptable. I don’t mind Sergio himself, he seems like a nice guy and solid driver. However his biggest fans need to have a little more understanding that racing is an expensive business and that you can’t expect someone just to give up their F1 seat if you harass that driver enough
Soooo Happy for Checo, he deserves this victory. He's been professional, fair, and fast for years. Red Bull would be silly not to give him a seat.

Here to remind you that Checo's RP20 is still slower than Albon's car. Imagine what he could do with a Redbull machine under him.
I’d be curious to see all of the data that backs up that claim- I remember hearing Sergio’s (RP20) car had the fastest straight line speed at this 2020 Sahkir GP. If Checo gets into Albon’s car it will be interesting to see which track and tyre combo exploits that overall added speed.

@@juanignaciochalco7103 Yes- I understand that, of course it is. I am interested in where it’s faster because not all cars are created equal. Specifically which track sections does it excel on? For ex: is it faster on the heaviest down force tracks? How does it compare on tracks with more overall elevation change, do the tyres react differently on a RB compared to a RP on tracks that require heavier braking etc. Then how does that data relate to Checo’s strengths.
