      The hyperventilation prior, super-oxygenates the blood, which makes holding the breath possible for longer. How crazy is it that something so simple could change the world and even save lives, (for instance, in cases of people being caught in extremely cold conditions)?! Assuming that this completely and honestly can do all that Wim Hof claims it can do, it should be taught to all first aid classes and to all emergency personnel, especially those involved in rescue from extreme conditions. ... This breathing method completely changed my life. Thank you Wim Hof! I have covid and a few days ago had a lot of phlegm in my lungs. So much that every inhale made me cough up phlegm. I did 5 rounds of wim hof breathing and purged all the phlegm out of my lungs and my sinuses completely cleared up. I'm still having the occasional cough a bit of phlegm every once in a while, but this breathing method helped sooo much! Thank you Wim Hof. You're a lifesaver. Also, I've been doing Wim Hof breathing for a few years and it makes deep meditative states much easier to achieve. I recommend at least 3 to 5 rounds before meditation, but you can do more if you wish. The most rounds I've done back to back was 15 rounds, 40 breaths each round. By the end i felt sooo relaxed and euphoric. It's truly amazing the mental state that can be achieved with this. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Love you all. Have a fantastic day.

    This is so cool to see & brings so much joy to my heart! It's interesting Jordan's initial response was that he hated it. I felt such incredible bliss the first time I did Wim's breathing technique in 2015 I haven't stopped doing it. Now I can hold my breath for about 5 mins comfortably. Breathing techniques will give you a natural high without the negative consequences of using any external substances. Wim prob should have conveyed a few important tips first so Jordan & his daughter could get more out of their first time trying. For example: Do not pause between the inhale & exhale. Breathe from your stomach, not your chest. Relax your jaw & shoulders. It's more effective to breathe deeply through the nose rather than the mouth. If you're doing it correctly you will feel light, tingly, blissful, laugh or smile because of how awesome you feel. The ice baths are amazing too! It will change your relationship & perception of the cold from one of fear & the unknown to acceptance & delight.

    Been doing this breathing exercise for almost 2 years now. It is truly amazing how after doing it, all feelings of anxiousness and concern melt away. I especially enjoy meditating afterwards as I feel as though I can self-reflect more productively. Wim is right about being able to hold for longer, on a bad day, I can hold my exhale for 2 minutes, but have gone to 3 minutes without feeling lightheaded! Truly changed my life for the better

      How nany times per day? How many rounds? What time of day do you do it? And do you do cold showers/baths? If so do you combine cold shower/bath with the breathing technique?

    • @andrewayres6554
      @andrewayres6554 Před rokem +2

      @@prosperouseye When I first started, I did it once per day 30 mins before I went to bed (it helped me better process everything, and helped me fall asleep easier). Started at 60 seconds followed by meditation. As I felt I could go longer, I gradually increased every week by 15 or 30 seconds. It is important not to force yourself like Wim says, it should come naturally. The moment you feel you are forcing yourself, you are at risk of depriving your brain of adequate oxygen, so practicing conscious deep breathing and increasing the time gradually is crucial.
      As for cold showers, I am actually just beginning to implement this and am not sure any best practices yet. I can imagine utilizing the breathing technique in combination would be worth trying though.

      I've done this for years, the benefits are mind blowing. I feel now like I possess an "off" switch for most of the bodies uncomfortable hitches. Headaches, stiff joints, stiff neck, sore muscles, upset stomach, I can cure all of these things within 15-30 minutes with no external help. This knowledge single handedly restored my sense of ownership and control over my body. I used to be a prisoner to constant migraines and stiff necks. Now I simply make them go away. Sound's too good to be true, I know, but it's not. Oxygen is required to process cortisol and nitrogen from your system. The more oxygen in = the faster these symptoms are taken care of. I have genuinely started a session in tears from pain, and ended the session in tears of relief and disbelief, in a state of absolute peace and humility. God really made it so simple, and we really found a way to overcomplicate it.

      @@Aethelvlad what do you mean by overcomplicating it? every medical practice that is in use in modern hospitals is proven by research to have positive impact. The wim hof method/other similar breathing practices have also been studied and found to be effective(in some cases). That doesn't mean you can heal everything with this method and those "overcomplicated" things are still required. World is not black and white. All the symptoms you mentioned can be stress related, which is why the wim hof method works great and should be practiced, but if you had some other problem like tumor, torn ligaments, nerve damage or osteoporosis, it wouldn't help.
