Do you think it’s possible that my brake cables are so used that they cause too much friction that my brake caliper can’t overcome when trying to reset to it’s open position? That’s the only thing I think it could be but I haven’t seen anyone else with that problem.

I need to replace the whole cable as red plastic damaged where rubbed on rear wheel. Is it easy enough to feed through complete cable? Any tips? Thanks

I can be a bit fiddly but can be done take the bottom off the scooter off helps get to it easier

When pulliing of the whole cable, stretch a thread of wool, for example, to the cable. Then you'll have a thread of wool following the route the cable has to go. Then, stretch your new cable to the wool thread, pull out the thread and the new cable will be back inside it's place
