    Third party replacement cables may not come with waterproof cables where the white connector is. You can just add a drop of glue and let it dry. It will prevent water from getting into the connector!

    Best tutorial for this particular problem. Thanks a lot !
    To make it more simple for those who don't have welding tools : you can use connectors to connect the wires, instead of welding them

    You are the first person i have found to help me fix this problem, i was looking for a whole year for the cable that i needed as could only find the light one and then thought i had to unwrap the battery to get at the cable but thanks to you I didnt have to make that mistake

      I’m happy to have been useful. I got the cable from Aliexpress for less than 1 buck. Well worth it. The only difference is that it doesn’t come water sealed in the connector to part, aside form that it is really nice

    Very good video, I managed to fix it with Solder Seal Connectors and a heat gun I just melted it over the wires it worked and I didn’t have to do fiddly soldering 👍😀

    Prevention tip - I added an extra layer of heat shrink over the connection and cable running up and under the fender. From new so I’m hopeful it keeps it corrosion free for longer.
    Nice video 👍🏼

    The same problem i also bought the connector but
    1. I dont want to or i can not open the back battery cover.
    2. I dont have soldering machine.
    3. I dont want to open the wheel also
    Positive things are-
    1. The wire is already outside just opened from the connector so can i just tie them with new connector outside? Is it necessary to do this things inside?
    Please answer.
    Also add in answer what size of tross rod i need to open the battery cover, the wheel,the mudguard

      I bought it from Aliexpress, it takes some time to arrive but there are some seller that offer faster shipping options. You can get it for under 3€, just search M365 tail light and buy whichever you prefer, they are all the same

      @@Nick-fh2iz @RayS Tech-Know-logy i've tryed an app called German Maneuver. This change region to Europe(up to 25km/h) until i shut down the scooter(power button). When i start it again is comming back to german version. So in Europe mode, brake light is working and it blinks. So i guess that this is how it should be in Germany....

    • @Nick-fh2iz
      @Nick-fh2iz  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s firmware issue/‘feature’ then. You can try Xiaogen Mode, it’s a webpage firmware customizator. You can tell the light to blink on the brakes or not to when freewheeling. You can also adjust power and speed, and hundreds of other features. I have used it for years and I love having three separate modes and the customization they offer even under laws and regulations. Where i can buy a connector?

    • @Nick-fh2iz
      @Nick-fh2iz  Před 3 lety

      I bought mine from the Aliexpress app. Look up ‘tail light cable xiaomi’ and you get there many for about ~$2. Some of them are cheaper because of slower shipping speed. You can choose if you prefer faster delivery or cheaper price.
      Hope i helped

    Without reinforcing the connector, the cable will break from vibrations in the same place at the beginning of the connector.

    Any idea what the voltage is for the brake light?

    • @Nick-fh2iz
      @Nick-fh2iz  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, if you check the wires that feed the light, you should see around 1,7V.
      If you see 1.7V the light might be broken.
      If you see less than 1.7V , maybe the wires are broken or another issue.
      You can check if the light is working by feeding it with an external power supply at ~1.7V.

      @@Nick-fh2iz the scooter I just got is missing the rear fender and light. The wire was cut but I have other led lights so at some point I'll wire up a different led, just trying to find out the normal voltage so I don't burn out a bunch of leds testing. Lol

    • @Nick-fh2iz
      @Nick-fh2iz  Před 3 lety +1

      That’s smart! You can also buy light made for Xiaomi in aliexpress for less than 5€ (just look “brake light Xiaomi scooter” and you will find a lot of options: some cheaper and some with fast shipping options)
