Taking Apart Jackie Blue’s Transmission

So we found metal inside Jackie Blue’s transmission and had to take it apart to see what damage was done.

I got a '58 bus with the original tranny. Bought a" BENTLEY PUBLISHERS WORKSHOP MANUAL 1950-1962 VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER" to walk me through it and it turned out great. To do it right, you need the proper clearance specs, and those paper gaskets are important in that process. Good luck.

Oh well, at least you'll know you have a good transmission.I would have never figured out that stud in the shaft though.

funny story I tried to rebuild a gearbox and ended up with 3 reverse gears and one forward (lol) You guys are going to smell like gear oil for months it never comes off your clothes, nude from now on ;)
