🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Dude said he trained with Instant cup of noodles. Caught me off guard and had me rolling. Said he liked balls with conviction too. He really was a great host. Those bowls all looked so good and the broths amazing.. Was fun to watch. Great video

His Filipino partner in this video is just amazing! He is also humorous, very engaging, and seems fun to be with! We need more collabs!

I love Sonny's enthusiasm to eat unfamiliar foods. He didn't show any grimace or fear of eating. By the way, we don't eat some of these foods everyday except for palabok, lomi and pares. Some foods are normally eaten during feasts and parties to enjoy with other people.
I love how Mr. Chui guides Sonny on Filipino dishes! More power to your show!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This is not just a food review channel....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 👍🥰🥰

This is literally one the best filipino street foods in Manila. From Lomi, to beef pares, to palabok and Crispy Pata. I just wanna say that Carl showed you the best restaurants that most filipinos don't know and Sonny being the best host💙💙💙

The best thing an international food show can do is make locals crave for their own local food. You sir, have done it spectacularly. Will be doing the rounds this weekend with my friends.
especially when the local food featured is not popular or unheard of by most locals.
Can't agree more. 👍👍👍
Very true, because i knew a filipina and asked her about the food. Unfortunately, she didn’t know too much.
But if something is normal for somebody, they can’t describe it too others. I think i wouldn’t know what to say about my country.

This came up recommended to me today. Already subscribed. This man’s comedy is absolutely hilarious. “If you get dumped, lose your job, and find out your adopted all in one day.” I cried.

lol, I remember my friends telling me this was "anti-aging food" ... because if you eat a lot of it, you won't reach old age 😁
So if every portion shaves off a month or so of your life span ... totally worth it.
That is funny 😂
I think there's confusion at the beginning with the lomi prep. It's not coconut milk, that's cassava starch and water. :) Gives it the gooey thickness.
A slurry, to be exact. :)
Mali ka din ma'am cornstarch po ginagamit

Not just any Lomi but Batangas Lomi. Cuz our Lomi here in Bataan, in my opinion, is inferior to Batangas Lomi when it comes to almost all aspects...
He doesnt know how to eat Lomi, 1st you should mix Calamansi, soy sauce and Onion add Chili if u want it spicy, then get an extra plate to put some Lomi so the remaining Lomi will remain viscous. Btw i noticed the cook is not using gloves.

YOU CHANGED THE EGYPTIAN LAW
I was so mad about the Bad experience you and others had it in Egypt (for recording videos in public places without permission ). Actually since the Arab spring we still face some political issues and some fears especially from any Islamic parties that’s why Egypt was very strict about anyone record anything in public, but finally we got new laws which everybody was trying to push it and finally got approved which is freedom for recording in the public for anyone. And of course your complain and others complains was very useful tools to get this law in effect. Thanks, and hope to see you again in Egypt
