    I dropped a free sample pack a week ago and this video shows my process of putting it together.
    The sample pack can be found here:

    www.accuratebe...
    I recorded audio from the Arturia Drumbrute, the Drumbrute Impact, MPC One and the Addictive Drums 2 plugin to make my own original drum samples. I used Korg Opsix, Korg Wavestate, Arturia Microfreak and the Roland Jupiter xM to make a few melodic samples and I ended up running all the samples through my reel-to reel tape recorder as well as an old cassette player.
    I had a lot of editing to do but I honestly think that this project came out pretty great!
    Use #saltsamplepack if you end up using these samples for anything.

    Thank you accurate for making this video. I always pictured myself making sample packs in a similar method how you did (minus the reel to reel because I don't have one). Most definitely with cassettes and DATs to bring different tones and flavours

    Gosh, Korg Opsix - love this synth! Your melody samples are incredible due to dreamy/spacy vibe.

    Man awesome video. I just got the Jupiter X and love it. You gave me an awesome idea. I also like how you work like a chef. You use your equipment like ingredients. The use of older analog equip like that cassette deck is genius.

    Nice work man, your sample pack deserve all the attention it deserve. I like to always tweak the sound I use. But the starting point you bring them is probably just amazing. I will check that out. Thank you. These are days of work for free for your audience. Well done man.

    Dear accurate, just bought my first Maschine (MK3) ever. Whats the best way to familiarize myself with the workflow? I got recommended ADSR sounds already :)

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  Před 2 lety +1

      Ohh… I wish I had a great answer for this but I don’t think I do. I know Sarah the illstrumentalist made a course a few years ago that I’ve heard good stuff about but my main recommendation is probably to watch a bunch of different people on CZcams to find the best way to use it for your own way of working with it.
      Just hang in there, be patient and put a little. But of time into it. The bigger the challenge is, the bigger the reward will be :)

    Please forgive my ignorance but did I understand that sample packs can be produced using VSTs and a dash of outboard processing? Can a person just take a VST preset, alter it and present it as part of a sample pack?

    • @takeiteasy6346
      @takeiteasy6346 Před 2 lety +2

      You could fart in your microphone, put an envelope on the pitch and filter, and produce a sample pack.

    Hi Folks! I want to start making and selling sample packs/loops - I don't want to get into any trouble with companies, so has anyone any advice on **what software to use to create and sell sample packs and loops legally**? I have a variety of vsts and hardware instruments, too. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    1st issue wrong R2R, get a Revox A77 with varispd ctlr. 2nd - real music isn't made on computer. Hence why poorly recorded mono songs from 1960's will still outlast anything made today.
