I absolutely love hanging out with people in the songwriting processes. This was a joy to watch and see you struggling with the same things i do when writing. Like "ah man that sounds cheesey"
yea haha, it's almost never all good on the first take! Thanks for coming by Leigh Wesley
Leaning into the cheese could be viable too.
I believe itâs true to all artists/creators. I have similar feelings while taking and editing photos.
Also Iâm looking what Ricky is doing here, pushing buttons and twisting some random knobs which I have slight to none idea what theyâre doing, but when You do and it all makes sense. But I can translate it to my work with sliding saturation sliders, adjusting brightness and masking out clone stamps ;) - you probably be as lost as I am watching this wizardry (unless of course photography isnât Your hobby) - I know what each function is doing and what I can expect by using it.
The speed at which you went from "OH man this is tight" to *facepalm* "This is cheesy" made me smile so hard
*proceeds to delete entire drum pattern*
Thanks so much for this video! Realizing that a combination of creating and destroying is okay
Man, I wait religiously every Saturday for your videos and there is no better feeling to reload CZcams to a compact creation or anything that shows your creative process. And in this case... Happy lofi house? Man that's my fucking niche. Thank you man. You're an inspiration
Letâs gooo Big Umami! Happy to have you around
đ„đ„
that really is starting to become the best routine for the week
beautiful dude... my Push 2 looks at me and goes "....see?... " Have to use it more. Thanks as always!
Right!?! Lol
wish I had a push 2
this killed me đI'm in the same boat
lol, gotta knock the dust off mines too
same
The moment when you got the sample in tune and brought the synth lead in was pure bliss
watching Ricky produce is just me saying "YEP" loudly and repeatedly
loopop is the best on reviews
stimming is the best for entertainment and fun
red means recording is great for education content and tips
but what you Ricky do better than every other youtuber is to make House and Techno tracks, your aesthetics to make tracks are immediate LABEL STANDARD, more content like this please đ€
Wow Voyage! thank you for the kind words it really means a lot to have your support. I appreciate you
you should totally release that track ! The video is incredible too, the way you build up everything and share your process is really inspiring !
Yes please release this!!!
Always happy to see a Rick Tynz upload over 20 minutes long đŻ
Haha the classic hang sesh
Hey man. This type of video is my all time favorite! Watching you make music is encouraging. I would watch these videos all day long!
Totally agree. When Iâm doubting my own stuff itâs really nice to watch someone else working through their creative process
For percentage and decimal values hold down shift on Ableton Push while turning to move in smaller increments.
You can also try fine adjustments to knob parameters by touching the top of the encoders with one finger and turning.
Ricky you are the most positive producer on this platform I swear. Such an amazing energy that just inspires me to get creating. Thank you for what you do bro
I love how psyched you get for your music. Like even though you think some stuff is cheezy, like watching your process is awesome. And ending it with JAM is always inspiring.
Much love Ricky, from sunny South Africa
That sort of video really helps me. I find myself second guessing my processes quite a lot lately, to the point where I start putting off switching on my equipment. To be able to just watch someone jam something out and have fun reminds me why I got into this stuff in the first place đ
man the way you fixed the scale of the sample to match with the peak was BRILLIANT. how come i never thought of doing that. i always struggle a lot when i try to add my own bassline or melody to a sample-based beat.
I just love it when you kick that finale and you get so excited man! Love the flow and can't wait to try it out myself!
This was easily the coolest music production / workflow video Iâve seen on CZcams. Following your process was very satisfying
I see that Tempest in the back đ
Giving me Nujabes Modal Soul vibes! đ
Me in the 80s on Saturday morning: Lucky Charms, He-Man, Smurfs, Transformers
Me in 2022: black coffee, egg white nonsense, new Ricky Tinez video
Love it. Thank you JP!
Always a feel good time with Ricky. Thanks for being you man!
Itâs that moment when you feel down about dealing with hardship and ambition. And you check your boy Ricky never satisfied, always pushing and you get that nice vibe at the end of the vid. And I just say - everything is possible, just keep at it! Thank you for the love, brotha! â€ïž
Been trying to flip this track in some way for a while and Ricky bosses it first time. Champ
hahaha! take the chop! you'll do something even greater with it
Love watching the process.
Love it man!! Every week reminds me of the magic of the creation and makes me want to jump back into just having fun with Music.
Thanks Ricky..your videos are a great source of musical inspiration and creativity! It always goes on like this ..
Your ambience lighting and production is spectacular, nice presentation, always good to hear you teach.
Had a really shit week and watching you work has totally changed my frame of mind and made me forget about it. Thanks đđŒ
This was so dope. Subscribed! Need more tracklib videos like this!
I wish the push2 was a standalone sampler..i love the look of it..great video đ
i knoooowww or does anyone know a way to sample directly into simpler? It's a not huge deal, but sampling into audio track, with a count-in and then having to solo it then convert it and then finally be able to slice it just takes long enough to get me a little out of the flow aha
@@RickyTinez Can't you just drag it straight into simpler?
thanks for acknowledging the Tuchus Maneuver, it's a very key production technique that I feel like doesn't get talked about enough. So glad that Dr. Tuchus developed it and shared it with the world for free
Thanks again for a totally enjoyable 23 minutes.Such relaxing viewing.
Just love watching your creative process. Always inspiring đ€
Love the âjust see what happensâ vibe youâre setting.
Awesome work as always Ricky
Outstanding as always, bro.
biiiiig vibes mane, ya just love to see it :)
when a track makes you feel ambiguously nostalgic, then you did it right
Love sampling old school jams. Great vid Ricky!
Im always in a rut until I watch your videos man. Keeping us inspired đŸ
That ending was soooo fire
Great vid Ricky! I love seeing your creative process, very inspirational! I'm ready to buy my first Push right now! Thank you!
absolutely amazing! i love your vibe
Nice tack. Thatâs why some people despise Lo Fi . It adds that air of non confidence to tracks if you arenât fully awake and disciplined about what you want in your sound. If you are doing any Lo Fi jams and they turn out too weak just boost the bass and beat to match tempo and it turns into Disco⊠with a pinch of swing.
great stuff, this is the best demo of the push i've seen so far. it's realy impressive how they mapped the UI to it and how strong it is in the role of a center-piece of a studio setup.
yea its super solid. i do wish you could sample DIRECTLY into simpler/sampler easier but hey, it works!
Super session, always good vibes
Well, wow! That was entertaining! What I like is that you take us with you in the process. Well done sir!
Straight vibes my dude. Keep up the amazing work
Dope beats! Love you music and content! đ Really nice to see your workflow.
Awesome vid as always! Loved the gain trick , definitely going to have to try that.
Great content and music! Inspirational man đ
Your Push 2 skills are inspirational! Great work.
Thatâs solidly creative! Keep making it do what it do!
that bridge worked surprisingly well! Dope jam
That sample is killer! What a vibe. Damn.
Man how have I not seen your channel before dude. The whole vibe of this video is fucking incredibleâŠ
This video makes me so happy. You da manâs
The beat you made here instantly reminded me of Laurence Guy. Good lo-fi vibes!
Perfect example of a well put together video for an electronic music production,a way from the traditional instrumentalists creating spontaneous licks, nice video, need to get a push again, welldone brother !đȘâ
Tip for push, press shift when you turn the knob! :)
Simple and yet so effective.
Thanks man. I love seeing the Ableton Push 2 Workflow. I'm moving from the MPC Live and so it was helpful to hear those comparisons.
Brilliant as always.
I enjoyed watching this video, creative man
Yo Ricky, you are such an inspiration. Keep up with great content
I learned a bunch watching this!
Love this.
Nice vid, nice tune â„ïž
Tracklib is such an underrated recommendation, thank you.
Thanks...this was fun to watch!
Wow Ricky, the pandemic and that working from home totally got me sick of being in my home office which also happens to be my studio. I haven't touched ableton and my push 2 in MONTHS... and then, boom, youtube recommends me this video (haven't watched you in months...didn't know until now that I missed it!). This video is totally inspiring me to get back to it and jam! thanks man!
Awesome video MAN! You are big inspiration for me
Thansk for the tips Ricky! Specially the one to tune the samples ;)
Really awesome video, loved you workflow with the push 2! I was thinking about to buy a digitakt because I usually got stucked with the mouse in the hands and not in the push2 but this video really gives inspiration
cheers mate
crazy part is the hit is @ 3:36-3:44 regardless i was jamming the whole way thru nice work!
Loved this one!
you push the push. thank you for you
bit late but i just got into Ableton and was looking to learn the push 3 in my case with lives workflow. Too many magic videos out there that gloss over the nuts and bolts of it with the jam glam its super quick and easy. You actually show the process of building it up.
Yeah dude you gotta release this joint! Jank is đ„, especially the change up around the end
Brilliant!! First time viewer - now subscriber!!
THIS WAS SO DOPE
Solid stuff mate thanks thoroughly enjoyed your session
Thank you Mathew!
Cool stuff! Best inspiration! Was about to go to bed, but gonna head over to my synths and do some house aswell :D
Great track! I really wanna learn to use that Push! Impressive how quickly you navigate around making changes!
That track is fire, man. The peak patch has a kind of Jamiroquai - Space Cowboy vibes. Freaking love it
Yes omg I was thinking the same thing!
So was I!
well space cowboy is also written in minor scale, A minor i believe. the chords make a II - V- I progression, just like Ricky's sample,. add that moog-ish squeaky synth and its an instant jamiroquai tribute song! beautiful.
@@LuminorBeats nerd lol
One of my favourite videos of yours I've watched, really enjoyed watching that come together. Would love to hear a finished track built from this.
Dope track!
Marvelous "I found an out! Quick, say goodbye on the high!" section :)
Getting some Andrés vibes. Love it.
Thank yo uâŠ..this is so wonderful
This popped up as a suggested video and I was inspired to open Ableton Live and turn on my Push 2 and start tinkering with an idea I had. I've fumbled around a bit but I like what I've got so far. Thanks for the inspiration! I've liked and subscribed.
Yo what's good Dynamight! Tight name, and thank you for stopping by and watching the video. Super appreciate it.
really nice dude!
Dude this might be my favorite video of yours ever. Absolute đ mode on!
Ps: this video should really come with a âmay induce severe GASâ warningđ€Ł
hahahah! thank you for the kind words Midlife! Love your channel too btw, thanks for all that you put out and do.
@@RickyTinez đđŒI appreciate that so much bro! Hereâs to an awesome 2022đ„ đđ»
Thanks man đ
The peak sounds great- really solid, simple sounds.
yea i often get lost trying to get crazy with sound design and slowly realizing that an initialized patch with simple tweaks is more than enough haha. especially in context of a song which already has so many moving pieces.
Best room aesthetic on the internets. Love the old Victorian haunted house (no offense) ambiance. Thatâs my aestheticđđœ
Great video Ricky đ€
love hangin out
You know what broâŠI appreciate the blabbering honestly. Very engaging and educational. đ”
SENSEI SHARING WISDOM
The energy in this vid is tight
Awesome workflow!
