#Ableton #Push2 #Tips
This was hilarious with that phone ringing. Great tips and nicely packaged and delivered. 😊
Subbed cause I know exactly how frustrating it is to keep having people call you while you're busy. I felt that.
Haha I love your video !!! the most my favorite part is the end 🤦🏻♀️😁
lol
Hahahaha me too
#2 just changed my world!
I have never subscribed to anyone because it is SO annoying how most people spend the first 3 minutes asking you to subscribe and blah blah blah. I love how straight to the point this is. You are the man #1 You are officially the first person I am subscribing to
5:10 is what I'm doing with my Launchpad X since it does not have the fixed lenght function. Great tip! saved my life when I figured this out while crying not having a push hehe
Super helpful! Best outro ever 😂
Thanks for the suggestions, looking forward to getting a Push 2 tomorrow - And I appreciate the straight-to-the-info approach in your video, thanks!
Most entertaining push 2 tips video ever.
Subbed because you actually showed me EXACTLY what I was searching for, but also because your audio effect rack name, kudos
I just got my Push 2 a few days ago, and this video has been the most helpful goldmine of tips and strategies that I've yet to come across.
Thanks man
I was waiting for the phone reaction thankyou for leaving that in great video i have incorporated all of these tips into my workflow!
This video flew by with how educational, easy to comprehend it is! Thank you!
Every once and a while you come across content creators that actually provide useful entertaining and down to the point content without the mindless rambling followed by "please subscribe" "like the video" "hit the bell" "if you want more videos like these..." It's these creators that make CZcams so great.
And instead he put 'please subscribe' on effect rack name 😂
Thank you sir for producing a responsible, informative and entertaining video! 👍🏻👍🏻
I use CZcams a BUNCH, but I have only about 5 subscriptions (and I rarely comment). You got mine at about 3:00 when you mentioned Shift-Scroll... not even related to your topic but a game-changer for me. I've been using Live since 2.0 ... but somehow missed that gem. Now I'm off to watch the rest of your vid. Rock on brother - full props.
Haha. As a non commenter I appreciate it!
Great video with great tips! That 2nd tip for live looping is a new one for me, but it's so smart to have that ready to go.
Just switched from a Boss RC300 to a Push2 + AbletonLive for my livelooping set up and your channel is perfect to help me get started ! Thanks for the tips and everything else in your efficient video ! :)
Just getting into Push 2, have a unit arriving hopefully within days, fantastic tips, and also the funniest hard cut ending ive seen in a long time, ha

I've casually watched push 2 tutorials for about 4 years. Recently purchased one, with still 0 understanding. This video single handedly cut the learning curve. Super duper helpful. Thank you. I might actually try to use it now!

thanks for the video. I have a mac tip for you. Next to Siri, click the task bar thing and use two fingers to scroll and set your computer to do not disturb. Calls will then just go to your phone and not you computer.
Love the video man!
Sooo good ! that's what I was looking for!
Really like the tip about the ergonomic drum pads, need to consider that.

Extremely useful video!
And that last second made me LOL :-D

Thanks Ian
The ending to this video alone was enough to make me subscribe to your channel! 😁
Subscribed cause that was super clever yo!!!
God-tier intro thank you
I love the “down to the point “ no bullshit ethic
Right?! Click bait and filler rules CZcams tutorials more times than not 😅
Subscribed. Great content. Thanks for making.
Just bought an ableton push. Loved the no bullshit, actually useful tips!
Thanks for the tips! I'm new to Ableton and I am floored by all the cool stuff you can do with the Push 2! I agree... too many long, drawn-out videos. Some cover too much, others include TMI. Feeling your pain on the insistent caller! LOL! Turn it off or put it in DND mode. I had to disconnect my phone from the laptop because it got so annoying. Keep up the great videos! Quick and to the point.. awesome!
love that last bit with "oh my f#*%(*....."
Thanks for all those great tips ! :)
(I have one for you: when you are recording a video, put your phone on flight mode ;) )
You are too funny. Great video. Super tips.
Thx man! Great video: a lot of value in a short time. I heard that the Push 2's pitchbend could be improved if you modify your instrument's pitch bend parameters. I definitly want to see some tutorials to master it.
You're legend Ian, I thought I became pretty comfortable with Push, and yet I'll be able to use all of these points to improve my workflow. I'd love to see a standalone video about how you go about playing chords on the push. Guitar is my main instrument so it was very helpful to see your flow.
Glad to hear it man. You got it. What specifically related to chords do you want to know? It's tough to gage what people want to know in terms of theory and also in terms of the Push2. Thanks again for watching.
@@IanPriven Sorry I missed your answer! I'm mostly wondering if you read the push in the way you read a guitar fretboard? I haven't been able to write chords on the push since I don't really know what I'm looking at. So I assume this is as basic as it is.
You can load the chords you want in session view and on each scene double-tap and on the bottom left-hand select trigger!
Now you can control each scene that you put the chords on from your push on the pads!
Now if you are playing them and not loading chords you can select the chords on your push2 to play your chords and to stay in key
Switch to chromatic view it will be easier to understand since this view is similar to the guitar structure of chords
keep up the amazing work and have a great day!
nice one thx
Great tutorial haha
This is a really big help. Thanks bro.
First comment on the new vid! Glad it helps - thanks for watching!
@@IanPrivenhey bro why do ableton exports sound muddy, but when I play them on my monitors they sound good?
Ian Priven the chord break down is game changing. Things make a lot more sense in 4ths!
Micah Weston 4ths for life
bosh....straight to it, informative and funny. I wish i had 4 hands so i could give them viddies 4 thumbs up!
thank *YOU*
Best bro good job
Awsome video man! Someone is really blowing your phone up! Lol Subed
This is great! The only thing I couldn't replicate is using the swing to move the midi notes in my clip. I do hear swing being applied but i doesn't affect the midi notes visibly. Any tips?
that ending made me subscribe! hahaha
Great content bro (y)
well done mate i appreciate right to the point. do you know of a way to map vst presets to the push2?
Thanks for the tips - subbed - Tip 11 - turn phone off during tuts :-)
This is boss. You're a boss for making this. Thanks for the 💎💎💎 gems, man
Hi Ian - when I move the Swing knob on my Push it has no effect on my kicks position, as per your example around the 16:00 mark. Is there some setting I need to enable to see this?
So good
Good video
Great video. Thank you. +2 level up (at least) after watching this video. Would love to see another video on advanced chords, live instrument setup. Of course please keep making original music, that's the main thing. Cheers.
gstumt I have a video on live instruments!
I like this angle
Great tips - there's a real nerdy feel to some of them, which I really love! Turn your phone off next time though lol
Great video!
You can change how the pitch wheel slider reacts on the push 2
Hold shift button on the push2 and double-tap the slider, it changes the way it responds and it will respond like the keys pitch wheel
(The shift key on the push2 is very very important!)
I use to hate having my phone calls connected to the mac LMHO
Thank you for the amazing video have a great day and keep making more!
it's actually the select tool, click and hold while tapping the strip it will show mod wheel to select
Greatest Sports HighLights will try this today. Thank you!
@@IanPriven Happy Friday bruh!
Keep up the amazing work and enjoy your day and have a great weekend!
Nice video, thank you. Btw, don't you use toggle launch mode to stop clips without having a free row?
Sovent I need to look into trying to work that in. I do like to relaunch clips and have them start over without stopping. Will look into it though.
Yoooo I love this video
Please do more videos with the phone ringing!
