    I have just been using the wolves so far. I like how they can distract multiple enemies and attack them. But what I really like is that when you want to sneak up on somebody to kill them from behind, the wolves sneak with you and don’t blow your stealth. That’s such a nice touch, I love this game, it’s definitely going to be game of the year.

    • @Dreska_
      @Dreska_ Před 2 lety +94

      I've found wolves are reasonably good at dodging and usually surround the enemy and only die 1 at a time and thats really all I can ask for. They're so good at distracting which is great for a semi-caster build like mine where i can move in and out of direct combat with a lot more freedom. All you need is a couple of seconds to heal & cast a sorcery or 2 sometimes and life can be so much easier.
      Theres been a couple of bosses that have huge AOE that just destroys them but they're pretty good in most situations

      The skeleton soldiers are easily the best I’ve found so far. There’s 2 of them so great for distractions, but when they die they revive themselves unless hit when on the ground but every boss I’ve fought so far ignored them and agros my character as soon as they go done, so they’re basically indestructible, Carried me through most of the bosses in the first half of the game

    Just a tip for those who don't have enough FP to use certain spirit summons, there's a way around it. The Cerulean Hidden Tear for the Wondrous Physick Mix gives you unlimited FP for a short duration and it also allows you to summon any spirit you have without having the necessary FP level to summon them. You get the Cerulean Hidden Tear from the Ulcerated Tree Spirit of the Minor Erdtree on Mt. Gelmir. Hope this helps anyone!

    This mechanic in Elden Ring is such a clever move by Fromsoft. Taking in animals and creatures into battle with you as opposed to just NPC's from previous games adds a little more connection to them. If we ever get a Demons/Dark/Borne sequel, I can see this returning in some fashion.

      It also does a lot for anyone wanting to co op, now the boss design assumes you have a friend of some sort with you and can be balanced with that in mind, so bringing a player can actually be worse than doing it without one, meaning you dont have to worry about breezing through the game and things being unfair or undeserved wins when you have a buddy, plus the variety and style to some of the summons adds a whole dynamic that you wont see when bringing players so you have more reason to do one or more solo runs of the game.

    Lhutel is the best summon in the game for magic builds imo (outside the mimic which is just OP for everyone). Oleg is great but if you're a caster you don't really NEED your summon to do good damage, you just need them to hold aggro and survive while you spam spells. Lhutal being able to teleport around and being able to attack from range helps her keep aggro a lot better and I've found she's generally more survivable. Also the boss you have to beat is easier than Oleg's imo.

When you first talk to her, she's lamenting her cowardice for not following her men to be grafted (she seems to have had a mental break from reality to boot). If you complete all her dialogue you'll end up with a quest to find her men and give them a msg. Go thru the castle until you reach the boss that first killed you before you're teleported to the continent. After you beat it, in one of the rooms off shoot from the boss room, there's a couple of dogs eating from a pile of bodies, the item on top can be given to Roderika to progress the quest. After you get to the round table hold, complete dialogue with Roderika and she'll eventually leave to go to the hold too. From there, the Smith tells you about her talent, and you go back and forth completing the dialogue with each other as the video says. You'll get several rewards for your efforts tho, and can get the hood she's wearing when you find her on that pile of bodies after she becomes a spirit tuner.

    Rodericka has two requisits for showing up at the Round Table. Either you activate a grace past the Godrick area of the game or you fight your way all the way through Stormveil Castle till you get to the area with a Grafted Scion. Once you loot a Momento in that area you can come back and give it to her showing her the fate of her grafted men. She will then tell you she's headed to the round table to find her purpose and be of some use to the members of the Round Table. I'm pretty sure any grace point beyond Godrick's domain counts. But it's certain she'll show up at the Roundtable hall if you travel north and take the cliff path to the Grace point near The Church of Irith.

Those of you that end up going too far into the story, you can BUY a bell for 100ruin stones(souls?) at the round table place you can teleport from the map at the bottom right corner. There is a statue in the back past the edge lord skeleton guy that gives you an emote to stand edgy like him. The statue thing at the back has bells for sale. The boss protecting him is one of the easiest in the game to beat and the dungeon is tiny. He may not be the best, but you can level him early at the same time as you’re using Grave Glovewort for other spirits giving you at least 2 completely different sorts of spirits to try for whatever situation is giving you problems.

    Lhutel the headless was so darn useful on encounters with two bosses. He would just tank the other one until I was done with first guy. I think I used him in most of the fights where I got stuck.

    Idk if my game is glitched or what, but roderica just showed up at the roundtable right after I finished talking to her and got all of her dialog done. She just immediately went there without me having to do her little quest, and I didn't even beat Marget the fell yet.

    I like black knife tiche myself its tanky, evades like crazy, can heal itself some and can proc bleed on your enemies. it serves as a good distraction for my glass cannon mage XD. Only downside is the high go cost really 132 to summon them.
