I see these everywhere in the U.K., so I thought I’d check one out! 🔐
Nice decoding! Thanks for sharing Ash and enjoy the rest of your week mate.
This must be the only Squires combination lock that I've not played with. It probably deserves the low security rating. Thanks for showing us.
The CP50 is very easy to decode. When you tap the wheels, there is a noticable bounce when the number is in the true gate and the wheel is often lower than the others in the wrong positions. Would be interested to see if this method works on this Combi-bolt.
It is a nice solid secure looking lock thought the materials it is made out of says differently. Well done getting the open out the package, cheers
nicely done Ash mate great video 👍👊😎🇬🇧😊
Praise for their honesty 🇺🇸
Nice out of packet demonstration. Well done!
The five digit combo for a bike lock seems sturdy.
Nice little bolt. I would refer to the other piece as a "strike plate", although perhaps that term should be limited to door locks.
I am tempted to try making one of these where every sector in the wheels is at a different height, but the sector words are all previously the same. Seems like that would cause false gates to come in and out of play as the shackle moves back and forth, causing the picker to chase his tail.
The other thought that comes to mind would be finding a way to cause a wheel to bind when it's in its true gate, maybe via tight tolerances or really stiff spring detents on each wheel.
I'd also be interested in seeing a gutting of this lock. I think you could accomplish that non-destructively by unscrewing the knob and sliding the bolt out the end
Major flaw is the exposed screw holes! Very easy to just remove from a wall if you need entry.
Use Torx head screws and drive a ball bearing into each Torx recess after installation. Problem solved.
You can do the equivalent with Phillips screws by getting overly aggressive with a power driver with a locked clutch. The driver will readily turn the recess into a cone-shaped depression.
You can also use carriage bolts with a smooth head or machine bolts with a nylock locking nuts on the inside of the door.
@@wilcleno1866 I wouldn't use this on a door. It appears to be intended for gates, where one could reach over to undo bolts.
Hi Lock Noob, I have been trying to open a vintage Lockwood Australia padlock, I understand they are quite hard to pick. After trying to pick and rake it I tried to make shims from a can. Idiotic me managed to break of the lower part of the shim and leave it inside the padlock. I then found the key and surprise! The core is immoveable even with the key and the padlock is now stuck. Any ideas?
Help how do you pick a lock with a combination code But you need to push a button after you enter the RIGHT code so it will unlock?
I know it sounds weird but use a twist can opener on that packaging type and they open lol.
