I read in the article online that one of the early bird reviewers from a reputable AV outlet, he measured that the Sony 75" Bravia 9 has around 1920 dimming zones🤯 That's on the same number of zones as Samsung's 8K flagships TVs. Sony have seemed to really step their game up finally regarding their LED TVs for the first time in a very long time.

I got a A80L oled. Very happy with color reproduction. Yes, it's not as bright as mini LEDs but I watch movies at night and the room has no direct sunlight. It works for me. The models with QD OLED would be nice if prices were lower.😊
The Bravia 3 is 60 Hz but the X85K is 120 Hz which is better for fast video games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. If you're only streaming or watching movies then the Bravia 3 is probably the better choice.
Please evaluate if mini-LED of their flagship Bravia 9 makes any compromise on the "pure black" quality of OLED, or is it very very very close, but not equal?
@@paulcox2447 I have not seen a mini-LED without some compromise, but I keep hoping. The fact that it's a Sony flagship TV raised my hope. I don't think they would sacrifice such a key component of picture quality on their top model.

Im in the same boat as you. I was going to buy a new TV last year and was interested in the X95L because of Sonys superior procesing, but what stopped me was the fact that in the UK its smallest size was 69 inch and im limited to 55 with my setup. So hearing that Bravia 7 is shaping up to be a slightly better X95L but coming in 55 inches was music to my ears!
I have A80L TV: Is it worth getting a matching Sony soundbar (Theatre Bar 8 or HTA-5000) to pair with the acoustic panel, or is the pairing with the acoustic panel all hype? For value, also considering JBL Bar 1000 or Polk Audio Signa S4. thanks
Tech Steve I got a question for you I have narrowed it down to two models the X90 L and the Bravia 7. Do you think the $700 is justified for the mini LED, meaning do you notice a huge difference in gaming and watching movies? Meaning do you notice a signifiant difference or is it very minor, in terms of picture quality? I can buy a X90 L today or I can save up another $700 and get the. Bravia 7 on amazon Prime or Black Friday. Which do you recommend? Of course the Bravia 9 is nice but it's also 3500.
Hey Steve can you please…. do a video for the newly released Sony BRAVIA 3 K50S30 tv & the newly released Vizio tv model V4K55M-08? & test the video quality connected to a dvd player & see if it’s good for gaming ? Because both TVs air supposed to have HDMI 2.1 inputs
If you buy this Sony TV with the Sony soundbar make sure a hissing does not come from the TVs tweeters, when using the TV as a center speaker. It is still is a common issue across the world with the J, K and L series. I bought an X90L TV from a company that had good customer service and returned both the TV and Soundbar. Some people unfairly notice after its too late to get a refund. Appareently many have had the motherboard changed but sometimes it doesnt work. Sony are terrible for sending out so many faulty units and not being honest and recalling them because there are so many TVs out there with this fault.
@Isles8 I like the c3 I have the 65” in my bedroom , i prefer brighter screens that mini led produces I have a Sony 85” X95L in the living room. It’s all personal preference
Bravia 8, this reviewer comment was useless. The Bravia 8 is brighter and has a newer tweaked processor. Extra brightness is worth the extra $150 over the A80L

Haven’t tried any Sonys or Samsungs yet which will probably blow it out of the water, but when I update my workout room I may try the oled then. Was looking for the Vizio oled this time but didn’t find anything or anyone that still sold it 🙃

You cannot compare OLED to LCD or mini LED...OLED are premium for a reason and reflected in the price.

Is the screen coating on the Bravia 7 semi-gloss or glossy?
I don’t remember seeing much glare but to be honest I had 1 hr to film 4 TVs so there’s definitely some details that i missed
