I’m not sure what to make of this. I read somewhere that Brian thought this was the greatest version of the song including the album version but Brian shows zero emotion. I wonder if the medication he is on just numbs him so much that he can’t really feel much.

Brian Wilson did really write two or three great songs. But cmon they all sound the same 😂. Pet Sounds is the most overrated album ever and has a lot of filler and only so renowned because of the story of how he lost his mind doing it and became a recluse and the genius tag was started by his management and record company. No ONE. thought of him as that back then and it wasn't even successful. I believe most people that say they love it and that it's genius do so coz they are worried about sounding stupid. It's like "what's going on" it never got in the top 50 of any list all of a sudden BLM happens and it's the best album ever!! As a black man I find it so patronising even if I was white I'd find it patronising
