@@rehmanahmed7742 Islam is the only truth. Some Muslims are having such crisis is because of lack of knowledge. First, they themselves don't study the religion with the mashaykhs and second, the doubts that infiltrate their minds by the atheist preachers. The first command of Allah Azzawajal to humans were "Iqra" means "Read" and that we don't do.

I am a convert from the early 90's and I remember Sahih Bukari being pushed on me and others heavily. Thank you and may Allah bless you for challenging certain norms which have probably caused great damage. I really feel on some level Allah has guided me towards you.

The learned scholar Javed Ahmad Ghamidhi , has better understanding and view point about ahadith. His explanations about what ahadith actually is how to incorporate them in your understanding is what I recommend to others. If distinguished sahaba like Umar al khattab and Abu bakr would not quote any hadith unless it was absolutely vital for it to be uttered( for administrative purposes and clarification of an important issue) who are we to even discuss them. They were extremely careful for one an only reason, that if anything they quoted was not what exactly Prophet s.a.w said, it would constitute a slander against him. What and how would they feel when they would confront him in hereafter, what answer will they give. Personally i fear for all these moulwis and Hadith scholars who teach these dubious and false sayings without a thought about what they are doing.

Jonathon Brown wrote a book about the canonization of bukhari, how reluctant certain schools were to accept it. I only skimmed through it. He's a clever cookie though. I'd love to see that conversation.
I think the main reason people don't want bukhari to be critisised is because it has been the held up as the best hadith collection ever for Sunni's. If if bukhari is a crapshoot, then every hadith is. You either gotta become your own scholar, start again completely from scratch, or become Quran-only. Either way that gives people massive anxiety.

Mostly musilim blindly follows the scholars of their sects who blindly follows imams or older scholars n they have heavily relied on hadiths which has ambiguity n dobeious reliability in many cases. Unfortunately often hadith has been the reason to poluted n deviated from the original message of Allaha. Like many other religions the misunderstanding n changes in the religions has made religion corrupted n irrelevant to modern times. See guys, this is why it is SO IMPORTANT to listen to people like Mufti above who really is well-read and learned in his area. Because, I'll give you an example 'off the page' but will demonstrate how devastating, completely false ideas and 'spun' narratives can be.
To this day, you will find most leading Oxford academics say that Plato taught in FAVOR of pederasty. To this day, big league names like Stephen Fry say the same kind of thing.
But it's completely false. At the time of Plato writing his dialogues, it was against the law made by Athens, to say ANYTHING against such perversion, BECAUSE half the Athenian Senate were pederasts put in as puppets by Persian wealthy interests - and the penalty for saying anything or teaching against homosexuality was death. So Plato wrote AGAINST such things, but he did so using euphemisms and very subtle explanations that he 'put into the mouth' of his character Socrates.
Oxford was set up to COUNTER the Roman Catholic academic domination of Europe at the time, and thus, Oxford 'Dons' were all celibate by the rules of Oxford University, in order to attain the same 'moral respectability' (supposedly) of the celibate monks of Catholic academia at the time. Except, the Oxford guys were all homosexuals!
So they 'appropriated' the euphemistic writings of Plato to try and maintain he supported their lifestyle when in fact he taught the exact reverse but used euphemistic Greek language to avoid being prosecuted by the Athenian State. And Oxford has gotten away with the lie ever since they spawned it. And now, no one much dares to challenge the Oxford false narrative because of their 'cache' and 'reputation' as learned academics. In fact, they're just political liars.
This shows just how far such propaganda can go when it remains unchallenged and unchecked by those who actually know the truth. How much of modern-era Islam is dubious because of these same effects?

The ahul-Hadith have always had a problem with Imam Malik and the school of Medina. Malik understood Hadith to be relative to the Amal of Medina , instead of hadith dogmatism. Malik’s Muwatta breaks this paradigm of ultimate authority of sahih hadith on the believer. Bukhari rates the most sahih isnad to be the Golden chain of Malik on Nafi and ibn Umar... Malik brings these chains and says we don’t follow this. The most authoritative scholar in his time , the one who inherited a tradition from the grand children of the Sahaba warned the ummah about taking your deen from these one on one narrations. What 'monumental work', exactly?

It's an invented story, if you know even simple maths.
And that he started collecting hadith 230 years after the Prophet?
And who are YOU to call people non-muslim? Since when has doubting hadith become a reason for takfir?
And do you know that many modern scholars have revised their classifications of hadith?
Listen to the two bukharigate videos, and see which arguments you can *actually* counter.
I bet you don't know even 1% of what he talks about in those videos.
And most 'sheikhs' around the world don't know either.

@@texan4548 The hadith collectors that we know about the most spent their entire life in this pursuit.
The prophet guided people for mere 23 years, there can't be 700,000 distinct hadith. There could however be a few 100,000 chains that they found where one person could provide more than one chain and record everything. And then they are analysed we find that many hadith are simply repeating over and over again from different transmissions. Thus we get 1 hadith from maybe hundreds of transmitters.
The science of hadith is of fundamental importance to the Muslim faith. Ultimately everything we know about the Prophet is through chain of transmissions, including the Qur'an itself.
The hadith collection has never been accepted on a dogmatic basis, there is a reason it is called the "science" of hadith.
Those that reject the hadith will soon reject the Qur'an and then existance of God, this is the inevitable end of such people.

Their rejection is not going to render a person nonMuslim but is certainly a serious issue. Many scholars have rejected sahih hadith due to them being a singular narration on a subject or perhaps they have been deemed to be in violation with other many hadith or Qur'an (possible in case of abrogation for example)
The point is that one of the things that have arisen in this age is hadith rejection where people even go as far as declaring the hadith to be a conspiracy against Islam.

HE knows and how these collections 'crosses into' Al-Hadith. He also has specific knowledge that is *rarely discussed.* But for Bukhari specifically *I HEARD* there are language issues that suggest Urdu is *MORE ACCURATE* and preserved than the Arabic. Theres also large libraries *specifically in Urdu* regarding hadiths that are unique to Pakistan (I heard). Actually, think about it, one of the OLDEST masjids *VERIFIED* by GPS Qibla direction is in Pakistan.
*Farid Responds* might be willing, but I don't think he has the knowledge to do it.. and it would be opening a can of worms for him. Any ex-Quran-only person would be able to do it.
Actually, ANYONE who seriously digs into the Hadiths, you will eventually reach a point where it crosses into Quran etc. and it's like opening Pandora's Box - it could change your whole world around and *perspective on Islam itself.* Many its for the BETTER though and it will bring them closer to the Quran, Prophet and and Companions.
The truth sets you free. And that's the place where Abu Layth is. And thats why they are hostile towards him. Remember that Peacemaking gives a greater blessing than all charity, fasting etc... or something like that.. can't remember the hadith. ;)
