Harry Vanderspeigle is my favourite Alan Tudyk's role. He's perfectly cast and so convincing in both comedic and dramatic moments. I heartily recommend Resident Alien to anyone who has missed it so far.🌟
I was uncomfortable at the start now I can't hear Tudyk and not think of Harry Vanderspeigle. 😅
We can't wait for season 3
He is hilarious 😂 in that show. It's something that can be easily overlooked but his acting in that show is top tier. Him as the actual alien falls flat a bit but only because his physical comedy is just as good as his voice acting and the 2 together is just plain enjoyable to watch.
@jkosh2046 when we started watching resident alien, my wife remarked how bad his acting was. She didn't understand how good the acting had to be to make it look that bad.
Agreed. I love that show. I watch it over n over again. I get bummed waiting for the next season, hoping they wont shut it down
“I went to Julliard” I love that so much
I laughed so much at that XD
Same. It always makes me laugh.
Tudyk is basically Walt Disney Animation Studios' acquivalent of Pixar's John Ratzenberger. He is and will always be 👑🍬 King Candy to me.... Also, his take on Optimus Prime was pretty damn refreshing as a successor to Peter Cullen
Earth spark as a whole is great, I mean we have fucking Keith David as grimlcok😂 and Alan is a worthy optimus
Speaking of John Ratzenberger, he hasn't participated in any Pixar projects after Onward.
Um no. Ratz keeps his same voice for every character and only did animated films.
I agree. And I'm not losing my marbles. And I love the performance of the Duke of Weaseltown. [Wesselton!] And the toucan in "Encanto" would have helped me understand how different toucans and puffins are after I mistook Top Wing Brody for a toucan. What a caw-caw-catastrophe!
Ian Robert Scott Laidlaw
@@aidanhever3369 now I'm wondering if he'll return for Toy Story 5 to be Hamm again
"I am a Leaf on the Wind, watch how I- [soar]." a stronger line will never punch me in the gut. Hoban Washburne was, imho, his MOST iconic role and lives in my head rent free.
He's criminally underrated. Rewatching Firefly for the umpteenth time and he still makes me laugh.
%100 same. He is awesome!
If only they would bring back Firefly.... not a reboot... but just a continuation of the series before the events of Serenity.
Bro. 😢
I got the chance to meet Alan Tudyk in 2017. I asked him if he could say, “Have some Candy!” and when he did, I couldn’t stop laughing!
Awesome, you’re so lucky. Glad he’s a nice guy about it.
Alan Tudyk's voice acting is incredible! I love how the voices he uses for animated characters are so realistic that you can't even tell that it's him doing the voice, That's a real voice acting range right there!!!
I know this is about Disney, but I love him in Resident Alien. His comedic timing is on point.
I adore Resident Alien!!! He's an incredible actor as well as one of the best voice actors around, second only to the late Robin Williams!
Oh yeah, really underrated tv show! He's amazing in it ✨
I totally agree! He's amazing.
His voice acting is incredible but he is just as talented when seen. His performance in Death at a Funeral has to be one of the best comedic performances ever. It is a true gift.
This guys officially a NATIONAL TREASURE 👏🏼👏🏼❤
My favorite of his live action roles is as Wash in Firefly, and his voiceover as King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph, especially when he turns into Turbo, and then into the mutated cybug.
Fell in love w him after watching Dale & Tucker vs Evil! He’s got the look AND sound AND personality that’s one of a kind & naturally hilarious!!! ❤
A Knight's Tale was my first introduction to him, and it was wonderful. Every experience since has just been delightful!
I really like and appreciate the variety of Alan Tudyk’s voice works. He reminds me of another VA, Dee Bradley Baker, who voices a lot of characters as well, whether they speak with words or with their own animalistic tongues.
It would seem Alan Tudyk and Dee Bradley Baker are the ones serving as Frank Welker's successor in voice acting roles.
Whether they be human, humanoid, creature, or animal. They can do it all.
I've been watching Alan Tudyk in Resident Alien, while thinking back on all his roles and just how amazingly talented he is. It's hard to believe he has done so many roles in what seems like a short amount of time.
From Wreck-it Ralph to Wish. I think he’s amazing
I find it hilarious that Disney made a funny joke for Alan Tudyk’s characters Duke of Wesselton and Duke Weaselton
Yes, I noticed that too!
This man does 👏 not 👏 miss 👏
He also voiced the Joker and Clayface from Harley Quinn: TAS. No wonder his goat character sounds so familiar.
he is an absolute legend
those who agree
👇
I agree🙋🏾♂️
My favorite Alan Tudyk voice character will always be my man Krei! Also, just a room full of Tudyk's voice characters would have been such a good idea! I can't believe Disney scrapped it!
He will always be Wash to me 🍃
K2SO in voice, but Wash in Firefly to see his expressive face. I love Alan Tudyk
I love this Disney voice actor!
My favorite role is in 28 Days with Sandra Bullock. The fork analogy scene cracks me up.
My favorite disney Alan Tudyk roles are Alester Krey and King Candy/Turbo.
Alan has voiced nearly kg my favourite Disney characters, who'd have guessed?! He's such a treasure!
Mel Blanc is the first voice animated actor to voice a lot of characters until years later Dee Bradley Baker came and then, Alan Tudyk. I love voice actors
There were quite a few other voice acting legends in between those, like Daws Butler and Paul Frees.
Alan Tudyk is one of my favourite under-the-radar actors. Dodgeball, A Knight's Tale, I, Robot? I love those movies a lot, but for me, his voice acting roles are topped with King Candy. As a guy who loves to do voice-acting, i take my inspiration from the same places as Tudyk. Keep on going, man! Hollywood's not done with you yet!
loving resident alien and really really miss firefly made me cry in dodgeball love seeing him in everything incredibly talented and seems like a super nice and kind human
King Candy is still PEAK Disney to this date.
I kept smiling throughout the whole video, I'm so glad Alan Tudyk is getting all the praise and love he deserves. King Candy is definitely my absolutely favorite, now favorite Disney character, and I CAN NOT imagine any other voice actor that would have made him as memorable and great of a villain as Alan. His vocal range is absolutely amazing, I can't wait to meet him one day.
Alan Tudyk as King candy was so good and that he's playing as Valtino in Wish omg I kinda thought he sounded like one of the characters from Star Trek awesome work Alan can't wait to see more of your work
I loved him as King Candy! He sounded so much like Ed Wynn I had to google him and make sure he was still deceased!
``Wreck-It Ralph'' was a Disney animated film that featured popular characters from various video games.
I was very happy when all the Disney princesses from the past appeared in the sequel.
He's in ABCs The Rookie as Elroy, a Crime scene clean up guy..he's on twice so far. And his character is just perfectly played
Alan Tudyk next role get an Oscars
He's so talented!
We will always support this channel. They're one of fhe best.
You should do a video based on tudyk’s many voice work for DC comics to. He was flash in Batman the brave and the bold, green arrow in young justice and the injustice games, Superman in the justice league dark films, and joker and clayface in Harley Quinn, and now he’s voicing Dr phosphorus in the DCU animated show creature commandos
"I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar". I should get it tatooed.❤
Resident Alien, Love It!!!Alan Tudyk's voice acting is on par with the UK's Jim Dale, who narrated the U.S. audiobooks for all seven novels in the Harry Potter series, for which he won two Grammy Awards.
If you haven't listened to them I Highly recommend them. My kids & I loved them all !!!
I love this guy and his work
Alan Tudyk is a combination of Jim Carrey x Robbin Williams
Yes with that rubbery face of his and quick wit. Wonderful. I'd seen him before but Resident Alien got me hooked on his work.
"I went to Juilliard" - he was so sweet saying that haha
Firefly and Dollhouse were awesome live action roles 👌
Love this guy's talent! Wonder if they would release video of him doing the different voices while in the studio? He looks like he really gets into character. Maybe they used his expressions to make the films more true to life?
I love the dodo bird from the first Ice Age. "If you weren't smart enough to plan ahead than DOOM ON YOU!!"
That was him?
I felt like i was watching a DVD special feature, how nostalgic! Thanks , Emely, and a happy tuesday afternoon to you as well. Take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Alan Tudyk voiced Lenny, Dab, and Freaky Mammal in Ice Age, Cholly in Ice Age: The Meltdown, and Milton and Male Siren in Ice Age: Continental Drift.
He is AMAZING!!! LOVE HIM💜🤗👍
I love him in Resident Alien on syfy!
Great show. The new season is great.
one of the most underrated men in Hollywood. Resident Alien is AMAZING!! And his role as Gerhardt in 28 days is EPIC!! (not to mention he is sexy as hell!!!!)
Resident Alien is astronomically astonishing, with what Tudyk does with the script, of this, out of this world, alien that's becoming humanized. .
His best role ever and my favorite, is Harry Vanderspeigle in Resident Alien. Brilliant performance
I hope the series stays on and available for free on Sci-Fi.I don't want to pay any more $ to watch it.😢
Tudyk is an amazing voice actor! I was beyond amazed just how many characters he’s voiced😱😱 but I also loved him as Dutch in Transformers and Harry in Resident Alien. Just an incredible actor!
Top 5 Laura Bailey voice roles:
1. Shin-Chan (Crayon Shin-Chan)
2. Maka Albarn (Soul Eater)
3. Tohru Honda (Fruits Basket)
4. Black Widow (Avengers Assemble)
5. Kid Trunks (Dragon Ball Z)
You just broke my brain. I didn't realize he did so many choices. Mind completely BLOWN!

This is my favorite movie of his, not because I don’t watch cartoons, I do, but because I love Dodgeball.
I never knew that the dude who played Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball would end up being Disney’s Good Luck Charm!
This is awesome!
He never gets credit for his role in 28 Days. He was so good in that movie.
I love all of his characters ❤ He is so versatile and cute in all his roles.
Also let's not forget his opening scene with Matt Damon in Deadpool 2. Classic.
Tucker - in Tucker and Dale vs Evil. King Candy is awesome too
The security gaurd in transformers 3 has to be the best.
All puffy and soft then whips out a shotty and hopds the whole room down. 😂
Ah what about him in “Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil?” He played a hillbilly skinny dude named Tucker who caught by these dumb college kids who thought they’re slasher killers? It’s a horror comedy gem.
We have to go hide all of the sharp objects!!
Lol, love that movie. 😆
Exactly.....love tucker and Dale vs evil.
Hei-Hei is my favorite Alan Tudyk's role🐓💖
I love Alan. He is definitely underrated.
Edit:
Fave Tudyk role is definitely Tucker, from Tucker & Dale vs. Evil.
I didn't know he did some of those voices. He is amazing.
His role in resident alien is so underrated and hilarious!!
Tucker and Dale was his role in live action I always remembered by his current role on Resident Alien has got to be my new favorite for him.
Pure talent and dedication right here. Not enough of that in younger actors these days.
In top 5 comedians in the World.. It's a happiness that this man was born was alive and is alive for us, for our enjoyment.
I really, REALLY like this format of video! I hope there are more to come similar to this :)
Yay, thank you!
I loved him as Gerhardt in “28 Days”. So did Mum. He always made reference to his “package”. 🤣🤣🤣
I have loved this man's work for so long and every time I bring up his name my friends have no idea who I'm talking about, BUT then I start listing everything I know they have seen and the look of shock on their faces is incredible.
I will always love the first 2 movies I saw him in; A Knight's Tale and I, Robot. They're movies I enjoy so much; sadly, not enough people I know have seen them. And for dumb comedy, Tucker and Dale vs Evil
He was hysterical in Dodgeball!!
Wow! He’s amazing
I didn’t know he was so versatile.
I’m obsessed with him in resident alien
So talented.
My favorite is his role in Death at a Funeral. I've followed his work ever since.
I loved him in 28 days.
I didn't know!😮 Awesome! I loved his small but funny part in 28 days. 😊 with sandra bullock
I love this guy when he was in the show resident alien
Great Actor 😊💜❤️
All!!! But especially Wash, Sonny, both made me cry and then Knights Tale, Harry, and HeyHey
I find it ironic that he voiced the Mad Hatter in Once Upon A Studio since King Candy was inspired by the latter in two ways his appearance and voice.
I knew he was talented from watching him in "Firefly/Serendipity", "Dodgeball", and "Alien Resident", but I had NO idea he did all those other voices! No surprise Mel Blanc and Robin Williams were his inspiration.
And now that I know he played Weselton & Weasalton, the job makes sense and is brilliant!
Loved him in Doom Patrol
If anyone hasnt watched Resident Alien yet you need to. I laugh my butt off every episode. Alan tudyk is a legend
He was also in “28 days” with Sandra bullock. His final scene was so funny in that movie
Very very great epic list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever he is a great voice actor in everything he does 😊❤❤
I think the first thing I ever remember seeing him in was Hearts in Atlantis
He is truly a leaf on the wind.
Alan Tudyk is basically Jeff Dunham humor, Robin Williams timing, and Mel Blanc skill wrapped in a handsome package.
As it was with John Ratzenberger being Pixar's good luck charm, Alan Tudyk is treated very much the same for Disney as THEIR good luck charm in the early years of the 2010s Neo-Renaissance Era.
Names like Alan Tudyk and Dee Bradley Baker succeed veteran voice acting great Frank Welker really well. They're doing his work proud.
Absolutely love him!! ♥️Love Resident Alien!! ❤️♥️🔥🥰🎉
Basically resident alien
He's so fantastic in Resident Alien! I love this series and rewatched it a few times. I also like the graphic novel, but Alan and the rest of cast just make it a whole lot better.❤
I’m so happy for his success!
the fact that he voiced clayface and the joker in harley quinn will forever have me!
Despite his many voices my favorite character Tudyk has embodied, my favorite was Wash from Firefly. It saddened me that he was killed off in Serenity. His character was definitely not a hero type but to me was much braver at his core than Baldwin's Jane character, who was practically scared of his own shadow. Although I loved all the characters and their flaws, I felt that Baldwin's Jane should have been the one to be sacrificed in Serenity. I feel that Tudyk and Torres' relationship was more important. It was an interesting matchup with Tudyk being the an obvious Beta Male chosen by Torres' Alpha Female to be her mate. Though the relationship wasn't explored very deeply, it was kind of hinted at that in private away from everyone else, their Alpha vs Beta roles might just be reversed, suggesting that their public displays of authority and power dynamics was an agreed upon facade.
So with Torres' being Widowed it left a relationship vacuum, despite Serenity being the wrap up of the storyline to give closure to fans and cast, many fans especially those with a talent for writing good fan fiction are forced to write their own stories without their relationship (IF) they feel the need to follow canon.
He is absolutely perfect in Resident Alien! The show would not be the same without him in it.
