Just wonderful. A perfect exposé of how to relate to others' emotional and behavioural problems. I would also mention Forgiveness, though it is included by implication. Thank you for sharing this video.

He speaks about compassion, but has not mentioned empathy. Without empathy there can not be compassion. I was shocked to learn my 1st, now disinherited son has zero empathy. I did not raise him, he had another family, yet, he turned out to be like the younger, now disinherited son. THIS THE POWER OF EPIGENETICS.

I think my ex therapist followed all of those levels. She was the best therapist I've had so far. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I had to stop going to therapy. But I think all mental health professionals should be aware of this.

Read the Myth, his latest. No need to spend 1000s on therapy. However, if you want specifics, the better book is The Body Keeps The Score.

Thank you for the beautiful video what advice would you give to someone or what would you do if someone you loved was getting involved with someone who has an addiction that impacts their ability to function safely? Thank you.

    Self-compassion
    5 types
1️⃣ 0:40 Ordinary - feel with & wanting to eliminate pain & suffering
2️⃣ 1:39 Compassionate understanding - I want to know you, I want to understand what is happening - compassionate enquiry
    3️⃣ 1:44 Compassionate recognition - I am the same
4️⃣ 5:36 Compassion of truth - I am not here to protect you from pain of truth, truth might bring pain
5️⃣ 7:13 Compassionate possibility - see the beautiful person behind and in the addiction & suffering & trauma & bad behaviour
