Why did these programs for schools and colleges get cancelled in 1993? There were great, and I used to watch loads of em; especially when I was sick and off school! There’s an irony! 😜

In 1987 Channel 4 (and S4C) transmitted ITV schools programmes when ITV began transmitting a daytime entertainment schedule, in 1993 schools programmes carried on broadcasting on Channel 4 without it being branded ITV Schools as ITV no longer funded it, and Channel 4 became independent of ITV funding. In 2010 schools programmes were stopped altogether.
