Thank you for showing all the Minor Arcana and linking the images to the Major Arcana. Sellers of these decks are only have pics of a few Major Arcana cards.
If you are a Tarot enthusiast, you need at least 1 of all of the following patterns: Sola Busca, Oswald Wirth, Rider Waite, Thoth, Marseille, Golden Dawn, and Michiate (have I missed any?). There are hundreds of Rider Waite variants, about 10 Marseille variants, but few of the others.
The Universal Wirth Tarot (also by Lo Scarabeo) is a prettier, modern version; some will prefer it, while otehrs might like the more antique feeling of the Symbolic Wirth deck. Up to you. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law".

I'm a little surprised and overwhelmed at the reaction to this deck. I thought it a rather eclectic choice. But I am much intrigued by the story of Wirth who pursued interests in alchemy, astrology, kabbalah, hermeticism, hypnotism, freemasonry, mythology and tarot.

Thanks for your review of this deck. I've been searching for a deck with older/antique design with imagery I like. I absolutely love the echoing symbolism weaving the majors and minors. Thanks for pointing that out, you've sealed my decision.

Great walkthrough thank you, I've just ordered this deck, I'm a seasoned Thoth reader and just 2 years into TdM study which encompasses more numerology. So excited to understand more about the cross references within the symbolism. 🙏🏻☺️🙏🏻

This was a great walkthrough Robin, thank you! Does the booklet clarify who designed the pips? My understanding was that Wirth only designed the majors and thought the minors weren't significant, so his original deck never included them. Is that correct?
Not sure I like having all the Queens associated with Death - reminds me of medieval patriarchy in which women (especially wise women or unmarried women) were accused of witchcraft and being responsible for droughts, crop failure, disease, stillbirths, etc.

There is an interesting vibe of the knight's chivalry/grail quest and the target being the dark mother e.g. The return to mother concept related to death that is somewhat interesting. I think it was Robert M. Place who implied that the Queens were the latest addition to the courts based on the medieval romances (read both literally as women targeted for chivalry andmore esoterically as representative of questing for divine love, most likely related to the Sufi mystics that were present in Spain as playing cards were appearing in Europe) . There is no Queen in the Mamluk deck and aşso various Italian and Spanish decks, the face cards are just about ranks. Of course, there is plenty of misogyny to be found here, but an esoteric read can show a different view. The minors-majors connections really attracted me to the deck and in fact, the Queens-Death connection made me buy it.

Thanks for making this walk-through. I was really excited when I saw this deck coming out, but when I saw the minors I didn't like it. Thanks for explaining how the symbols in the minors correlate with the majors. As Water Child Tarot mentioned, I wasn't aware of Oswald Wirth having symbolic minors correlating with the majors, but I'm no expert on Oswald Wirth. Either way, maybe I will consider purchasing it now that I've seen your video.
