- Today we’re talking about everyone’s favorite topic: The JFK Assassination. What we all learned in school was there was a lone gunman by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald who single-handedly took out the president in 1963. The idea that one man could fire multiple shots from different locations all at the same time was apparently good enough for the government and the majority of the American people. What we know today is - the only connection Oswald had to killing Kennedy was that he was in Dallas that day and had been in one of the buildings where investigators say the shots came from. Other than that - he was a “patsy” as he put it - but never fired a gun that day. What we’re left to surmise is - there must’ve been a conspiracy. This is the History According to Cracked.

Donald Bellisario, the tv producer behind Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, JAG, and NCIS, actually met and got into an altercation with Oswald when they were both in the marines, and around the time the JFK movie came, Bellisario wrote a two part episode of Quantum Leap about Oswald to prove that was he capable of acting alone.
Great two-parter, though.

In the mid-1980s, when I was in my 20s, living in Berkeley, trying to go freelance with my word processing skills, I eagerly answered a want ad in the campus newspaper for someone to type up a JFK assassination conspiracy book. At the time, I, along with everyone else in my circles, took it for granted that it was a conspiracy, and I was excited at the opportunity to get a good look at _all_ the evidence and see how all the pieces connected. And after weeks of typing & reading everything, I came to the conclusion that it was Oswald, with the rifle, from the book depository, period. Everything that pointed elsewhere was based on ... nothing, really.
It would be great if the other commenters in this thread turn out to be as reasonable as you, but I'm not hopeful.
Geeez, I wonder how you got that impression? Because you didnt look any further. I tiny example would be Mrs. Reid's testimony being rewritten, her name FORGED and then notarized by the WC's NOTARY. And the people closest to JFK being shot were not called to testify. Look at pictures. The crown along the street suddenly disappears from the pictures taken from the opposite street. In less than a second. You most likely only looked at what Berkeley had to offer.

Yeah, there was absolutely a conspiracy, the conspiracy was to cover up an embarrassing friendly fire incident in which one of the people who’s job is to protect the president accidentally shot the president.

Whenever anyone brings up the JFK conspiracy, I ask if they've read "Mortal Error" by Menninger. I am always baffled how nobody knows about the obvious answer. I spent a month on it, got a reasonable explanation, and was done. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity
Was that confirmed? I remember hearing that as a theory for the cover up and it honestly sounded the most plausible. When it comes to conspiracy I buy people trying to cover up a mistake then a elaborate crime 😂

It took me a while to arrive at a conclusion, but ultimately, I think they were trying to point out how ridiculous conspiracy theories are, even the one about JFK.

Funny how nobody in here actually has any certifiable proof to support their claim. Just past knowledge due to one thing or another that definitively proved it was Oswald. But what about the magic bullet? Why the Oswald assassination by Ruby if not to quiet him up?

In reality, the injuries of JFK & Connally form a virtually straight line, and on a trajectory, track back straight to the 6th floor TSBD window. The Ruby-as-silencer theory falls apart in consideration of the fact that for the plot to work, someone would have to silence Ruby, which no one ever did. Instead, he talked freely for over three years, denying that there was ever a conspiracy,

All the evidence points to Oswald at the very least being involved, and I would also contend that it’s impossible for him to have been involved with a conspiracy. Oswald was such an unreliable person (he took a bus to escape from the scene) that no one would have involved him in any plot. He did it by himself, end of story. He just got lucky that he happened to work in the building that was on the parade route.

What a wild ride. Ngl, I did think there would be more conspiracies about JFK's assassination. I'm so used to seeing dozens of stories about how RFK is still alive or the Ukranian War being a real time movie shoot. For all the good info internet gives us access to, Internet sure is great at spreading these crazy ideas.
This was the video that finally made me unsub from Cracked. What a sad steady decline. I don’t know why you would set out to make a video that wasn’t funny or interesting or informative, but here it is just condescending as hell. I’m not mad because I disagree… I don’t. I’m bored. Cracked bores me.

• He DEFINITELY shot both before that day and on that day. Even if you claim he didn't do the major thing, he was still a renound sharpshooter with a record of it, and shot a cop trying to arrest him with his revolver....
